I so enjoyed listening to Gina’s story. To talk and reflect in such an honest and vulnerable way about her addiction is very courageous. Her story is such a testament to how one has the ability to change one’s thoughts with reaching out for help and an inner willingness to do so and how relapse or setbacks are just part of any change. In think that it so important to remember any time you attempt to make even little changes. Your questions were fanatic and gave her the opportunity show herself. As always, I especially loved your trademark ending with a quote from your father!! What a great podcast!!!!

This podcast left me speechless. To live such a selfless life and the challenges that Alex faces for his patients (hard enough for us to navigate the health care system and make appointments with any specialists) I can’t even imagine. I have so much admiration for him. Not to be afraid, not to fight the struggle or pain, and to truly believe wow!!! I also loved how he encouraged all of us to engage in small acts of kindness so so powerful. What an inspirational story! I was so happy to listen to the podcast. Really appreciate the way you ask questions and give the opportunity for people to share their story in a profound way. Also loved how you switched to lighter topics about what he was reading and who he would spend some time together in his personal life. By know your father’s quotes have become a trademark of your podcast and I love them. I am so glad that you are shedding light on ordinary people who are doing these most amazing things I would have never learned about! And he lives in our neighborhood. So glad you have expanded with a newsletter and Instagram site and I will for sure check them out! I love the question that you ask yourself about giving and receiving kindness and will for sure incorporate that into my practice. Thank you for a great podcast!!!

What a wonderful interview! I keep thinking of it and the many of the points raised. We have so much work to do in this country on our attitude about and approach to death! This was a beacon of light in connecting our awareness of death to our appreciation of the present. Thank you for addressing this somewhat taboo topic!

I love the idea that Gabrielena materializes with this podcast, by generating conversations with ordinary people who, in one way or another, positively impact the lives of other people. Each chapter is full of anecdotes and reflections about how the interviewees generate well-being with their day-to-day actions! For me, extremely interesting and absolutely human!

I so appreciate you introducing us to these “unsung heroes” we really need to know. It is so hopeful that there are people out there, who have a passion for death and dying, and are helping people do it with more compassion and in community. it sounds like you, dad and my parents had a similar passing at home and with family and friends surrounding me… Lucky us, but that is not always the case as we know. You’re a podcast is awesome. You’re a great interviewer (super curious, good listener and very thoughtful questions)

Great podcast. Thought-provoking and interesting. I had recently heard doulas who focus on end-of-life care, so it was interesting to hear that at the very beginning of the podcast. I also now have the autobiography of Billie Jean king on my library request list. Really nice how you shared about your father too and the podcast kept me engaged the entire time. Dawn sounds like a very special person. Thanks for sharing giving me more to think about with end of life care and death and dying.
