Patricia (Tricia) DeGennaro is a Geopolitical Analyst and Strategic Change Consultant. Prior to this position, she was a Subject Matter Expert for the Balkans Next research initiative at Joint Special Operations University (JSOU) on MacDill Air Force Base and a Senior Political Scientist in support of the US Central Command.
In past years, she was a Subject Matter Expert on the Middle East and Afghanistan for the US Army’s Training and Doctrine Command Operational Environment Training Support Center, a Professor at New York University’s Department of International Affairs, and a Visiting Scholar at George Mason University’s School for Conflict Analysis and Resolution.
DeGennaro capitalizes on over twenty years of experience as an academic, military advisor and practitioner in international security policy. Much of her work focuses on geopolitical analysis, strategic communications, countering terrorism and violent extremism, and transitioning nations from war. She has spent considerable time in the Balkans, the Middle East and Afghanistan on information operations, security policy, civilian and military affairs, provincial governance, capacity building, and joint interagency, intergovernmental and multinational coordination.
DeGennaro holds an MBA in International Trade and Finance from George Washington University and an MA in International Security Policy and Conflict Resolution from Harvard University. She speaks fluent Albanian and knowledge of Italian, Arabic and Dari.
