The Podcast
Episodes feature candid conversations with artists and creators in hot pursuit of their lives. My guests give us a glimpse of what it’s like to be in their shoes, their studio, and their heads. We dive into the joy that fuels their work and the challenges of living a creative life.
Guests reveal their authentic obsession: that tangible or intangible thread that keeps coming up in conversation and finds its way into their creative work. It's that thing that permeates your creative life, keeps bubbling up, that you can't stop thinking and talking about. It is uniquely your own because of the way it comes out in your work. It could be tangible or intangible, it might relate directly to the work you create, your inspiration, or something else. There are no rules about this.
Since 2020, I’ve talked with many creative souls on my podcast as they divulge their obsessions. And as they talk about the things they nerd out about, their passions, the quirky bits about themselves, it becomes easier for them to speak from the heart about ALL the parts of the creative process. And as I listen deeply and ask curious, empowering questions, many guests experience more insights, “ah-ha” moments and opportunities for awareness.
I hope you hear something that resonates with you and that you continue to be inspired to create.

A few bits about me…
▶︎ Time stops when I’m turning reclaimed textiles and worn clothing into modern improv quilts.
▶︎ I can’t follow a recipe to save my life, but I can whip up an incredible spread from whatever’s in the fridge. And my fridge is filled with fresh produce from my local farmer’s market!
▶︎ I’d always rather be outside. Nature solves wicked problems. (and the everyday sticky problems too!)
▶︎ Writing a first draft of anything tends to make me squirm, but once I’ve got some words on a page I make them shine. Editing is my jam. (And yes, when you need a second eye on your bio, artist statement, website, residency application, I’m here for you!)
▶︎ I never knew what I wanted to be when I grew up, so I tried everything until I discovered coaching. Now, I get to use ALL the parts of me to help other people flourish!
And a little bit about my professional history…
▶︎ I've attended countless creative workshops—collage, fiber arts, printmaking, quilting, painting, drawing—and the joy, enthusiasm, and passion for creating, along with the connections we formed, are my most vivid memories. And seeing the excitement and creativity of attendees in my collage and Gelli printing workshops is absolutely priceless!
▶︎ My coaching certification was an intense 15 months of digging deep into Positive Psychology and the science of well being and flourishing.
▶︎ I powered through a master’s in education while working full-time as an academic services dean at my local university. The highlight of those 16 years in higher education was teaching a science communication class to grad students - the first of its kind in our program! (it’s imperative to get your research out there in the world if you want to influence behavior and policy).
▶︎ I’ve also worked as a personal chef, Realtor, and a financial analyst!
