E39- Randy Wall- Sticking to the Basics

Randy Wall is a seasoned Civil Engineer, Educator, Alpine-Ski and Scuba Diving Pro and Scuba Pro whose depth and insights will capture you. He lets us in in his path of discovery including how he coped with the tragic loss of his beloved brother. So far the most emotional and raw conversation of Back2Basics.

Engineer, Educator, Pro-skier, Pro-Scuba Diver, Randy Wall seems to do it all, and do it well he does!

His goal is to teach soft skills to young engineers to better prepare them for the world and  to create a fully engaging culture where company's team members feel safe and secure. A foundational culture grounded in the values of collaboration, participation, impunity, and clear expectations, one that lays the groundwork for our team members to have peace of mind, a culture that creates the possibility for craftsmanship to emerge. Indeed, an immersive culture where each team member feels one with their practice, Part Of something bigger than themselves.

Later in the interview he shares in detail how he felt when he learned of the tragic death of his beloved brother and how he coped with it.  Inspirational to its core.

Randy shared the name of the book that changed the trajectory of his life.   You can check it out at:
