"Well there are existential crises and there are midlife crises, they are two different things and it appears you’re here because you’re having both.” This assertion from his Zen Teacher is what Alasdair Plambeck describes as a turning point in his life. In this episode, he shares with us the journey from a successful Start-up Scene to climbing the Himalaya, travelling the world and radically changing his life. Now he lives in a Caravan in a French Forrest with his new bride Julie-Roxane (our guest on episode 11)!
Alasdair Plambeck spent the first six years of his professional career San Diego’s start up scene, managing several businesses where he eventually became the general manager of an international, multi-million dollar portfolio of online businesses. In 2015 for reasonsyou will hear on this episode, his life completely went into a different direction, which included quitting his very lucrative career and off he went to travel the world!
Alasdair also shares the impact that being diagnosed with the autoimmune disease Hashimoto's Thyroiditis had on him and how it prompted what a spiritual awakening in Peru.
After living in 19 different countries and meeting his future bride in India they renovated a caravan in which they now live in in southwest France. He now is a finance and business coach, has a travel retreats company, is partner with his wife in a newly formed Podcast editing company , writes his own blog and co-host a fantastic Podcast about living unconventionally! A true stroy of finding the power within to create the life you want.
