Vance defended his tall tale on Sunday talk shows, saying, "If I have to create stories so that the American media actually pays attention to the suffering of the American people, then that's what I'm going to do." Oh, sure, JD. Because nothing says "I care about American suffering" like inventing wild stories that cause actual suffering to real Americans. Bravo!
