Oh my goodness🥹This brought back memories for me with my son who is 24 now but did not talk until he was 3 1/2 due to a processing delay and ADD that wasn’t confirmed until half way through first grade. He is my second child so I knew something was up when he would get so frustrated because he could not tell us what he needed. We started with speech at home with a therapist at age 2 that taught him (&us) so much! I had to be his advocate with the school which was frustrating at times for sure!
This experience also helped me when we decided to foster children. We adopted 2 boys from birth through fostering and my youngest(11 now) has ASD & SPD. His seems to have gotten worse from age 6. He used to be social but has regressed over the last 3 years to not wanting to leave the house😔It was a fight with the public school system to him the accommodations he needed & then COVID hit which really set him back! Can’t wait for the next podcast on the later years of Jordyns journey❤️
