Additional Resources and Beekeeping Diversions

We noticed the number of menu items across the top of our webpages growing and wrapping out of control. Therefore we decided to create a page for those BTP artifacts we wanted to share and for our listeners to browse on those, rainy, down days, when all the bee work was done and you were caught up on all the latest episodes.

Enjoy!

Listener Opens

Late in 2023 we started to invite listeners to send us openings for episodes. This page shows a map where they live around the world and provides instructions on how you too, can submit an opening to the Beekeeping Today Podcast!

How To Get Started in Beekeeping

Over the years we've run special series on 'How To Get Started in Beekeeping', packed full of valuable and practical information. We've pulled them together onto one page where you can sort through them to listen to the episodes you want!

The Habitat Crisis

The Habitat Crisis Series on Beekeeping TodayThe pressing issue of habitat loss and its impact on honey bee nutrition and health is perhaps one of the most significant, yet under-discussed, factors contributing to declining bee populations and reduced honey yields. In October 2024, we released a four-part series exploring this crisis in depth, featuring leading experts like Dr. Gabriela Quinlan, Dr. Andony Melathopoulos, Dr. Diana Cox-Foster, and representatives from the Bee and Butterfly Habitat Fund.

These discussions laid bare the stark reality of the habitat crisis while offering hope through actionable solutions that beekeepers, landowners, and policymakers can implement to help our bees—and other pollinators—thrive.
