With her newly published book, “Blooming: Finding Gifts in the Shit of Life”, Carrington Smith speaks of the many trying experiences that shaped her. It is a riveting, page-turner with tremendous online reviews, but the one thing that particularly struck a chord with us was the scarring IPL burn from hell that she had to deal with and the images we still can’t get out of our head.
Carrington describes the extensive damage done by her cosmetic procedure burns and recalls how a super low price and listening to the crowd led her to throw her careful research process out the window, resulting in the disastrous treatment. With help from the right medical professionals, including facial plastic surgeon Dr. Marcelo Antunes and expert laser specialist Jenny Burnley, she was able to fully recover.
