Leaders Define Reality

I am no longer outraged are surprised by what comes out of this administration. It becomes a ridiculous exercise to try to muster up a new level disgust, contempt and surprise from the previous day.

What I can do is focus on the things I can control within my sphere of influence. Leadership is something that is important to me, it’s a topic that I’ve been curious about for years. I’ve invested money into my own personal leadership development, when courses and supplemental leadership seminars were offered by companies I worked for I registered for them, because I could take those learnings with me and apply it to my personal and professional life.

World class leaders are servants, they define reality, they surround themselves with talented people and they release them to do their jobs. They don’t constantly lie and divide that strategy doesn’t work for long term success. All some people know is the carrot and the stick and that model of leadership is outdated.

People are a lot more savvy nowadays we have access to tons of information at our fingertips. Anyone that allows themselves to be manipulated by this administration deserves what they get. I’m not a pastor preaching to his choir on a Sunday morning, I’m a podcast host trying to make a difference in the world.
