While walking through Walmart on Sunday evening inspiration knock me upside my head and caused me to buy some fabric. OK, maybe I’m being a bit dramatic.
I saw some purple fabric, I liked it so, I picked it up figured I’d make a mask. I had a little work to do preparing for an upcoming episode on narcissism in relationships. I figured I’d watch the Invisible Man and make a mask at the same time-I’m multitasking-sewing relaxes me. Sewing allows me to flex my creative muscles.
Melissa, a long time supporter of behind the wheel saw the mask and asked if I was selling them, I wasn’t at the time. But, because she was a supporter of the show I figured I’d make a mask for her. The last guy was making at the time we’re hands-on but I knew if I was going to be selling them for someone else probably come out better if I use the machine plus it would be faster, but I didn’t have a machine at the time.
So, I asked my sister if she had a machine, Yvonne said no. I told Yvonne I was going to go to the Goodwill and find a machine she said OK. I was sitting in Fed ex at the time not knowing whether or not goodwill even had a machine but I just felt like hey I’ll give it a shot I’ll go there I’ll get a machine and I’ll start sewing. And as fate would have it I found a machine.
Felicia Thomas told me to "Boss Up... Be Fucking Amazing," She said those words to me as we were talking about narcissism in relationships. Felicia is the founder of FSC Workshops
Oh yeah I haven't mentioned my Ko-fi page. The launching of my Ko-fi page is me embracing my talents, this is me walking in my purpose, this is me taking the leap, acknowledging that what I'm doing is providing a valuable service for the audience, the guest and the sponsors. BTW Podcast is a business.
I took the leap 4years ago to drive for Uber/Lyft Full-time, so I could have the flexibility to devote to building BTW Podcast. Ko-fi is platform that will allow entrepreneurs/business owners to sponsor an episode PRE, MID or POST roll, it also allows you to buy me a cup of coffee.
Thanks for accompanying my on this ride. Leave a voicemail to let us know how we’re doing and receive a shout out in a future episode.
