Sika Henry

A chance observation by a coach, of Sika on a Basket Ball, led to her now being on a quest to become the first African American Female Pro Triathlete. What drives a person to take the long route to finish a marathon?

Triathletes are focused driven high performing competitive individuals. I'm curious about the discipline required to train and compete, correctly how those principles transfer to real-life scenarios.

Some people are driven by internal motivation, while others require hand-holding and external motivation to get them moving. I'm going to go out on a limb and say Sika isn't externally motivated. She set some pretty audacious goals; it was en route to accomplishing her dream of obtaining her Pro Card that she suffered a horrific accident.

What do you when life punches you in the face? Do you hang up your helmet or go back to the drawing board? What sustains you during the trial? I had questions, Sika served up the answers.
