We Can't Afford To Get Exhausted

I’ve set my expectations low on purpose when it comes to our justice system as personal self care strategy and to keep from becoming apathetic or going on an emotional roller coaster ride. I sometimes get the feeling that part of the strategy is to wear us out to the point where we just give up, but we can’t afford to quit.  I’m past the point of trying to muster up more outrage from the day before, now it’s about conserving my energy and thinking and acting strategically and not acting off of my impulses or emotions, because those don’t always lead to my best decisions.

I listened to Daniel Cameron’s press conference and then I spoke to a few attorneys before formulating an opinion about the decision.  I’ll share a few thoughts here and more later in a medium post, but basically the Attorney General’s job is to present the facts of the case, they are influential, if they want absolve themselves of any responsibility they’ll hide behind the Grand Jury’s decision-it’s out of my hands.
