In this episode of the Black Gold Podcast, I interview Dana Frank. She is a businesswoman, philanthropist, and author of the book Get Up and Get On It!
Dana is the second generation in her father’s real estate business, which he started back in 1950 after moving in a van from Detroit to Seattle. He was also the first Black man to own property in the state of Washington at the time.
In our conversation, Dana and I discuss her journey into real estate investing and growing up around her father, as well as property management. We also talk about how she and her family overcame racial disparities and discrimination within the real estate industry. Additionally, we explore her REAL framework for decision-making and her vision for the future of the real estate business.
