Just finished Season 2 with son Justin and Jeremy writing letters. I am crying and smiling and loving this turn of events. I want to continue to hear more of their stories… Leo, Justin, Jeremy.

Fantastic Podcast

Well now I’m sobbing through the second season. This is an incredibly heartbreaking and complicated story and this podcast does an amazing job telling a nuanced story with empathy. Investigative journalism at its finest, excellent sound production. The music is also incredible- bravo Leo. Florida is trash and so is our justice system. I really hope Leo gets justice.

Rarely does any work of art encompass the reality of the best and worst of humanity so evenly and so brutally honestly. Season two is quite possibly the most compelling podcast I’ve ever heard, and I’ve heard a lot.

Fabulous Story

Gilbert King is phenomenal in his storytelling of the lifer of this brokenhearted, but remorseful man. I would love a season 3 where Justin, Jeromy and Leo can all meet. Thank you Mr. King

Wow. Just an unbelievably well told story about a tragedy that ends with hope and healing. This is so well written. A classic example of how a podcast can create a space for something positive to grow…. Even in the worst conditions.

Theme song

I love the theme song. The fact that it’s written by Leo and another guy in prison just touches my heart so much. All the things that Leo has accomplished behind bars is amazing. The fact that he prayed for Jeremy and you shared the contrast of Leo wanting to kill him understandably versus started praying for him and asking for prayer and then the near immediate change inJeremy. I cried, and I shared it with my husband, and he teared up. It was amazing and I love that you’re continuing Jeremy‘s story. Yes he is a murderer, but everyone has a redemption story and everyone deserves love.

Top Notch

Hands down one of the most engaging podcasts I’ve come across. I am a podcast fanatic. I’m always looking for true crime podcasts that can compare to this one. Season 1 had me hooked from the first episode but season 2 was even better. Very well done!

Jeremys story helps us to remember that people who do bad things were mistreated themselves. Lastly, the redemption that decent prison programs can provide. These people need and deserve help. They are human beings.

I didn’t want it to end…

I listen to podcasts everyday while making jewelry. That’s my job. This hit my heart deeply in so many ways. The tragedy of Michelle’s murder, Leo’s unjust incarceration, the truth revealed by Jeremy of his horrific crimes, the State’s denial of justice all wrapped up into a story of forgiveness, love, redemption, healing, and an unbelievable way of all the nuances of this story being told. It was 100% one of the best podcasts I have ever had the pleasure to listen to. Thank you “Mr. King” and Kelsey!

Incredible, Gripping, Moving

This is by far “The Best” podcast I have ever listened to. I can’t even put it into words. I , like Mary am also a house keeper! I just finished season 2. The Most Beautiful and Painful Stories Intertwined

I don’t know where to start. I listen to podcasts a minimum of 20 hrs a week. I don’t know how I found this one but I am so glad that I did. This was the most beautiful and compassionately produced and hosted podcast I’ve ever listened to. It will stay with me. I will think about the tragedies the pain the beauty the grace the hope forever. The stories intertwining and bringing feelings, perspectives, and emotions to the listener that are so raw and so human is what makes it so special. Mr. King has so much respect from me for his compassion, empathy, and humility. I am sure as he investigated and told this story it was hard to process all of the feelings and twists and turns. It seems you’ve changed the people directly affected by this tragedy into something better off than they were. I hope you can allow yourself to appreciate that. It’s an incredible gift you have. It took decades and it took you. As I sit here and write this it all comes down to this, each one of the people you spoke with wanted to be heard and seen. That’s what you gave them. That’s all most people want. I thank you for this experience.

Season 2 is outstanding

I don’t know how I made it through the end. I have cried the entire episode. Your show gives us all the tools to use to see the humanity in others. People can change. There is goodness in most everyone if we search, and they are given the tools to show it. Thank you for given Jeremy a voice. But the relationship between Mary and Jeremy is wonderful- I loved listening. Thank you!
