This book takes us on a freediving journey down the ocean. You won't drown, because the so-called "master switch of life” will turn on, enabling you to push, while recognizing the limits of your body. You will swim with sharks, whales and dolphins, and learn about their incredible electroreception and echolocation abilities. Then you dive deeper and make acquaintance with the wondrous creatures of the deep ocean. The ocean is a magnificent place, and the deeper you go, the more clearly you see yourself.

James Nestor is an author and journalist whose works have been published in many world-famous newspapers and magazines, including Outside, Men's Journal, and The New York Times. Having grown up by the sea, Nestor loves adventure, and he is especially attached to the ocean. He joined a doomed surfing expedition to Norway and Russia, in which he and his team became the first to ride the breaks of the Arctic Circle.
