How did Einstein, the greatest scientist of the 20th century, think and deal with social issues? To answer this question, Walter Isaacson collected and analyzed a large number of declassified documents and explored how this imaginative, impertinent, and compassionate patent examiner unlocked the mysteries of the universe developed his stance on public affairs. This book dissects the individual components that constitute Einstein’s personal universe: personality, imagination, and creativity. This biography won the National Academies Communication Award of 2008.
