This book is not an intricate magnum opus that is fraught with academic terms. Instead, it uses vivid and interesting language to explain the origin and evolution of the word “status,” as well as the reason why we suffer from status anxiety. This book, along with its allusions and humorous comments, illustrates the concept of “status” through multiple perspectives. It will enable you to introspect yourself, and you will notice that your ingrained ideas about status will start to shake and collapse.
