The author of this book, Heidi Grant Halvorson, received her Ph.D. degree in social psychology from Columbia University. Currently, she serves as the Deputy Director of Motivation Science Center at Columbia University. She has published numerous research findings in premier academic journals and important platforms such as BBC and Harvard Business Review, focusing for years on human behavioral motivations and brain science. Halvorson and her supervisor Gordon Moskowitz co-edited the academic handbook The Psychology of Goals.
