CAROLINA CATHOLIC MEDIA needs your prayers and $15,000 in financial support to cover the operating expenses required to bring Catholic Radio back to the Charlotte airwaves before Christmas.  Your end of year generosity is crucial to achieve this goal.  Thank you in advance for joining us on this important mission to evangelize the TRUTH OF JESUS CHRIST and our CATHOLIC FAITH in an ever-growing secular, Godless culture.

In the peace of Christ,

A REMINDER THIS WORLD MISSION SUNDAY:

DEAR CHURCH SERVERS, REST IF YOU MUST BUT NOT QUIT

Today's Gospel validates the importance of rest and self-care in our own missionary journeys. When the apostles returned after a tiring mission, Jesus said to them, "Come away by yourselves to a deserted place and rest for a while." (Mk 6:30-34)

Jesus teaches us that there are times when we need rest in order to lovingly serve the God & our neighbor effectively & wholeheartedly. You may rest alone, or you may rest with God. Just as Jesus welcomed his 12 apostles to rest after their tiring mission, we too need to recognize the value of taking a moment to recharge and refocus. Rest is not about abandoning our duties or responsibilities, but rather about gaining strength and clarity to continue serving God and giving Him the glory He deserves. By taking time to rest and reflect, we can return to our mission with renewed energy and enthusiasm, ready to spread the Good News and serve others with love and compassion.

Belmont Abbey College

Today, we celebrated Dr. Christine Boor ‘11 as she was invested as the inaugural holder of The Vilma György Pallos Endowed Chair in Classical and Liberal Education.

Dr. Boor, an esteemed alumna, and former Honors College professor, oversees the development of Belmont Abbey's new Master of Arts in Classical and Liberal Education (MACLE) program, which aims to provide students with a profound understanding of classical pedagogy, the Great Books, the liberal arts, and the Catholic intellectual tradition.  What a wonderful ceremony it was! We can’t wait to see the incredible impact of Dr. Boor’s leadership and the bright future ahead for our MACLE program. #abbeylifeisgood
