Dear Carolina Catholic Media Family,

This season is always filled with so many great feast days and solemnities.  This year  we also have the honor and privilege to witness the ordination of the Charlotte Diocese’s fifth Bishop, Conventual Franciscan Michael T. Martin.

As a Third Order Secular Franciscan, it is with pure joy that we look forward to the fruits of the union of the Franciscan charism under the leadership of Bishop Michael with some half a million Catholics in the Diocese of Charlotte. Come Holy Spirit Come!

Now let me update you on the state of Carolina Catholic Media as we enter June.

As shared mid month, your Charlotte Catholic Radio station, WCGC, was knocked off the air during a recent storm.  We filed a SILENT notice with the FCC for 6 months pending the sale of the station which will allow for it to return to the airwaves sooner.

We do have interest from a couple of Catholic Radio companies.  Obviously this is our preferred path to pursue.  Please pray that these talks will lead to the continuation of Catholic Radio in the Charlotte Metropolitan Area for years to come.

A sidenote, it was and is one of our core objectives to broadcast/podcast a regular talk program hosted by the Bishop.  We pray that will become a reality.

For those of you considering a donation here are some of our largest expenses:

Going forward we remain committed to operate our 6 digital platforms which include:

Our combined platforms have grown to reach over 4000 souls each week!  Most of our followers are in the 3 dioceses of the Carolinas.

If your faith has been touched by something you’ve experienced on one of the Carolina Catholic platforms, please consider a monthly donation to help us keep the lights on and continue what we started over 5 years ago (January 31, 2019).

In closing, we are open to whatever God’s plan is for the future of Carolina Catholic Media.  We pray for wisdom, perseverence, perspective and acceptance.  As we recite in the Surrender Novena... “Oh Jesus, I surrender myself to you. Take care of everything.”

Peace and all good!

Pray The Holy Rosary Daily

~~~ HAIL, HOLY QUEEN --- (The Salve Regina) ~~~
Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy, our life, our sweetness and our hope. To thee do we cry,  poor banished children of Eve. To thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn then, most Gracious Advocate, Thine eyes of mercy toward us, and after this our exile show unto us the Blessed Fruit of Thy womb, Jesus.  O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.
Harrison Butker | Commencement Address 2024 | Benedictine College
Full Text of Kansas City Chief’s Graduation Speech
The Super Bowl champion kicker spoke on the dignity of life, masculinity, and the most important role of all: motherhood.
Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker has come under fire for his courageous and inspiring commencement speech at Benedictine College. In that speech, he called on Catholics to live up to the high ideals of our Faith, including the defense of the dignity of every human life, the foundational role of the family, and the gift of motherhood.
He is now the target of death threats, libel, and calls by left-wing groups to have
the NFL fire him. The NFL even issued a statement distancing themselves from Harrison Butker – all because he expressed basic Christian beliefs in public…
at a Catholic school.
Read our letter in support of Harrison Butker here.
If the NFL truly believes in "inclusion" then they must ignore attempts to cancel Christians like Harrison Butker.
