8-01 CC EDITION

Dear Carolina Catholic Media Family,

Normally the month of July is a slow news month but this year was a totally different story.  This edition of Carolina Catholic News covers it all (up to deadline) to provide you with many topics that are important to Catholics in this tumultuous time.  We’ve made every effort to provide a well rounded perspective for you to assimilate and draw your own conclusions.  Enjoy!

In this week’s edition our top stories include:

You’ll also find regular sections on Prayer, Learning and an expanded Calendar with new fall event dates being announced every day.  If you have an upcoming event or announcement please email to my address below.

Please keep us in your prayers as we continue our work to find the best path forward for the future of Carolina Catholic Radio in Charlotte and the 6 digital platforms of Carolina Catholic Media.

Once decisions have been made on the radio side we will turn our attention back to our primary goal… evolving the Carolina Catholic Media Apostolate into the Multi-Media Voice of the Carolinas that serves the Charlotte, Raleigh and Charleston Dioceses. With your prayers, content input and financial support we will achieve our goal!  Thank you.

SJCS Events Calendar

Recently Fr. Kauth and the priests, seminarians, sisters, and faculty of the seminary had the joy of welcoming Bishop-elect Michael Martin, OFM Conv. to prayer, conversation, and a good meal.

Bishop-elect Martin wanted to spend time with the seminarians in particular and prayed Vespers with them, before heading into a "fireside" chat.  The fathers of the seminary were happy to have our new bishop here and we all join the diocese in prayer for Bishop-elect Martin at this time of transition.
