8-29 CC EDITION

Dear Carolina Catholic Media Family,

With Labor Day Weekend upon us, the countdown is on for the Diocese of Charlotte Eucharistic Congress at the Charlotte Convention Center this Friday and Saturday.  We have complete coverage provided by The Catholic News Herald in this edition.

You’ll find the latest international headlines effecting Catholics from all the world’s hot spots, plenty of US election coverage including a look at where Hispanics are leaning and a look back at the special relationship between Pope John Paul 2 and President Ronald Reagan with the premiere of the movie Reagan opening in theatres everywhere this weekend.

As we enter fall fundraising season we continue our plea for your financial support to help keep our Local Carolina Catholic Media Mission moving forward. Our goal is to raise $10,000 to cover expenses for the radio station until we finalize a purchase agreement with a new Catholic Owner-Operator who will help us turn Catholic Radio back on the greater Charlotte airwaves in time for the Advent season.

Once divested of the radio station, we will focus all our resources on the 6 local digital platforms of Carolina Catholic Media. Remember that everything we do is with local Carolina Catholics in mind. Unlike the networks, it takes local funding to create and keep local programming. Please join us by making a one time donation or monthly pledge to help us see through this transition.

Wishing you a safe, happy and peace filled Labor Day weekend.

May God Bless you abundantly!

St. Joseph College Seminary - Charlotte

The seminary enjoys a fruitful relationship with Belmont Abbey College and the Benedictines of Belmont Abbey.  We are truly blessed to live around the corner from the monks.  The other day, Fr. Kauth welcomed Brothers Gabriel, Chrysostom, and Joseph for a tour of the seminary.
