ST. THERESE CATHOLIC CHURCH - MOORESVILLEFUN had by all at the Annual St. Therese Festival. On Saturday, adults and kids alike enjoyed a really fun day on campus. Balloon art was a big hit, as well as corn hole, putt putt golf, puzzles, games, and more. Also, the hamburgers and hot dogs were delicious. Thanks to all of the Ministries, staff and volunteers that helped make this year's St. Therese Festival a fun family event.

Infertility is a heavy burden most couples don’t expect to carry. It can affect your marriage, your relationship with family and friends, and your relationship with God. Infertility often feels like a long and lonely path. But you are not alone. Wherever you are on the path of infertility, or in the experience of pregnancy loss, there is a community here, built on faith in Christ and His good plan of fruitfulness for each one of us.

The retreat will include time for prayer in Adoration and an opportunity to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation and attend the Vigil Mass. It is an honor to walk with you.

AUTHENTIC CATHOLIC MEN OF THE CAROLINAS |
|
|
|
The awakening of the Catholic Man is underway! After years of sitting on the sidelines and remaining in the shadows, Catholic Men of the Diocese of Charlotte and beyond are starting to realize the cost of not fulfilling God's purpose in their lives. As the secular world continues its assault on manhood, the family, and Christianity, the duty and obligation of resolute men of The Kingdom to take a stand is now. Men have grown far too comfortable, complacent, and careless in their duties as the men, fathers, and husbands God has called them to be. Our world, our church, and our families need authentic men to help restore what has been lost in this world of pleasure, sin, and self-indulgence.
To that end, the Diocese of Charlotte is now seeing a great increase of men's apostolates, missions, and groups forming to help bring men together in a common fellowship to challenge, support, and hold one another accountable for the greater glory of God.
1. The Martyrs' Walk, which best described as an Ignatian Retreat meets Military Bootcamp, that takes men on a three-day journey of prayer, brotherhood, and healing; all in the light of traditional Christian principles and teachings. It includes extreme fitness, mental, and spiritual exercises & challenges that will push men beyond their perceived abilities. Events held quarterly and information can be found at themartyrswalk.com.
2. The Catholic Men's Conference of the Carolinas which has been a staple to Catholic men of the Carolinas is now moving into its fourteenth year of conferences with its next event scheduled for February 10, 2024, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in North Charlotte. For the first time in its history Bishop Raphael Zarama from the Diocese of Raleigh will be present to celebrate Mass with keynote speaker Jesse Romero along with a great line up of others. Tickets are on sale now at catholicmenofthecarolinas.org.
3. Monthly 'Rosary & Ruk' at the National Whitewater Center of Charlotte to hike the trails while praying the rosary together in fellowship. A great way for men to not only workout physically, but to workout spiritually as well and support each other. For more information, email Joe Simmers at simmersjm@gmail.com.
4. Join men from around the Diocese of Charlotte on October 14 at 11:30am at Latta Park in Charlotte for the First Annual "America Needs Fatima" Rosary Rally! This has the makings for being one of the largest rosary rallies in our Diocese to pray for the intercession of Our Lady for the health of our nation. Contact the Cathedral of St. Patrick's at stpatricks.org for more information. |

THE OBLIGATION with Jason Murphy
Join Jason on this brand-new episode of The Obligation after summer break when he sits down with Aamir Amjad of Pakistan. Aamir is an accomplished development specialist and public policy advocate, with a Master’s degree in Political Science and a Master of Philosophy (M. Phil.) in Peace and Conflict Studies from the National Defense University (NDU) in Islamabad, Pakistan.
Jason and Aamir discuss the heightened religious persecution going on in his country under the abusive blasphemy laws which target Christians under false pretext. Muslims make up 98% of the population in Pakistan and the targeting of other religions with violence, threats, and false accusations are on the rise. Violations of the so-called blasphemy laws are punishable with up to ten years in prison and even death. Make sure to tune in and hear this impactful story of faith amidst persecution.
