Dear Friends of the Carolina Catholic Media Apostolate.
Come Holy Spirit Come! As we prepare to celebrate Pentecost Sunday, I invite you to join us in praying a Novena to the Holy Spirit for the future of Carolina Catholic Media and Catholic Radio in Charlotte.
It is our hope and prayer that in the days ahead we will arrive at a way to keep saving souls through WCGC AM, as a station inspired by Mother Angelica and EWTN.
Novena to the Holy Spirit
Holy Spirit, third Person of the Blessed Trinity, Spirit of truth, love and holiness, proceeding from the Father and the Son, and equal to Them in all things, I adore You and love You with all my heart.
Dearest Holy Spirit, confiding in your deep, personal love for me, I am making this novena for the following request, if it should be Your holy Will to grant it: that we have wisdom and that we find working solutions for the future of WCGC, for we know the value of a single soul reached by this station is beyond our grasp and we thank you for hearing our prayer.
Teach me, Divine Spirit, to know and seek my last end; grant me the holy fear of God; grant me true contrition and patience. Do not let me fall into sin. Give me an increase of faith, hope, and charity, and bring forth in my soul all the virtues proper to my state of life.
Make me a faithful disciple of Jesus and an obedient child of the Church. Give me efficacious grace sufficient to keep the commandments and to receive the sacraments worthily. Give me the four Cardinal Virtues, Your Seven Gifts, Your Twelve Fruits. Raise me to perfection in the state of life to which You have called me and lead me through a happy death to everlasting life. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Thank you for praying with us. Please invite your Circle of Family and Friends to join us! We look forward to sharing the next step of our journey with you soon!
Prayerfully yours in Christ,
David Papandrea, OFS Founder/Chairman PH/TX: 704.880.0260

Despite this cost savings we have come to a fork in the road where we can no longer operate Charlotte’s 1st Catholic Radio Station without your immediate financial support.
We currently need $10,000 to stay solvent through June 30. As a result, we are working on contingency plans which include shutting the radio station off or selling it while continuing to operate our Livestream, Mobile App, Website, YouTube Channel, Podcast Channel and eNewsletter digital platforms.

Latin Masses This Weekend
Saturday May 27 – 8am, St. Ann Respect Life Latin Mass (Vigil of Pentecost) (followed prayers at the abortion facility or a Holy Hour in the church)
Vigil of Pentecost: This Saturday May 27 will be a rare treat for Latin Mass attendees in Charlotte – the 8am Latin Mass offered will be the Vigil of Pentecost, which will help prepare the faithful for the grand solemnity of Pentecost the next day. Prior to 1955, the Vigil of Pentecost was one of the richest liturgies of the year, serving as a “bookend” to the Easter Vigil, with folded chasubles, the reading of six Old Testament prophecies (compared to 12 prophecies in the ancient Easter Vigil), blessing of the Holy Water font, and baptisms (if there were catechumens). The 1962 Mass, which will be offered this Saturday, is more simplified and abbreviated than the Pre-55 Vigil, but nonetheless will be a great gift for those able to attend.
