“How much we need a new bond between young and old,” Pope Francis said, “so that the sap of those who have a long experience of life behind them will nourish the shoots of hope of those who are growing. In this fruitful exchange we can learn the beauty of life, build a fraternal society, and in the Church, be enabled to encounter one another and dialogue between tradition and the newness of the Spirit.”

As a new diocesan fiscal year begins, we ask all parishes to show your support with a pledge of a monthly tithe or annual gift to help keep us on the air the rest of this year. We want to publicly thank the following parishes for their financial support this past year and pledges for the year ahead:
St. Thomas Aquinas, Charlotte
St. Mark, Huntersville
St. Ann, Charlotte
St.Therese, Mooresville
We encourage you to do what you can prayerfully, financially and by spreading the word of what our apostolate has been doing the past 4+ years. Your involvement will be the difference in keeping true local Carolina Catholic content available on-air, on-line and on-demand! Thank you for recognizing the importance to evangelize the TRUTH of JESUS CHRIST and the Catholic Church in today's volatile, divisive, upside-down culture. We are a GOD-INSPIRED VOICE that needs to be heard in today's media world.

We pray for the families who have to sell their children to be able to eat, and for those who are tricked into sending their children with traffickers with the promise of an education and better life. Look at this newscast to learn how a drought can force families into desperation: bit.ly/43NNRCY #WisdomWednesday #EndHumanTrafficking #EndWorldHunger
Choose Fair or Ethical Trade, not Child Labor Global estimates from the International Labor Organization (ILO) indicate that 160 million children between 5-17 years old were engaged in child labor in 2021… we must take action to stop this. Choosing to buy ‘Ethically’ means taking better care of the most vulnerable in the world, our brothers and sisters, and the environment. When consumers choose ‘fair trade’ or ‘ethically sourced products’, they create demand for products that do not involve child labor, harsh conditions and unfair wages that contribute to poverty, and instead support the workers while providing safe, humane and sustainable employment. Read labels, ask questions, find out how your favorite goods and products are made and demand justice and dignity for all those that work behind the label. Learn more about labor trafficking in this module provided by the US Catholic Sisters Against Human Trafficking: https://www.sistersagainsttrafficking.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/USCSAHT-HT-and-Children-module.pdfAlso in Spanish: También en español: https://www.sistersagainsttrafficking.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/USCSAHT-HT-and-Children-module.pdf

So many of us are WAITING for something. Waiting for that big break. Waiting for the funding needed to launch that big ministry project. Waiting for our abortion facility to close. Waiting for our state to become pro-life. Waiting for that long-time prayer to be answered. I know in my personal life, I'm literally at the cusp of 2 huge prayers being answered after a lot of prayer and hard work. It's coming... and it's so beautiful when we finally have that moment where we can step back and see the harvest. Here's two big things I've learned along the way... 1. The battle is won in doing "the next right thing" -- and doing it consistently. It's truly the ordinary YES that adds up one day. Sidewalk Advocates for Life didn't get to 20,000 babies saved overnight. It came one life, one mother, one faithful moment at a time. 2. The harvest DOES come. Don't give up before you see the fruit just because it's hard. Yes, there are times to pivot -- and you'll know when to do that with prayer and good counsel. But often, it's simply being faithful to the call one day at a time. "Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart, and wait for the Lord." - Psalm 27:14 Keep going. Keep doing the next right thing. Stay expectant. Stay hopeful. God is often moving behind the scenes. Your victory story is in process! #prolife #Galatians6 #donotgiveup #faith #hope #life |

THE RESCUE PROJECT
For I am not ashamed of the gospel. It is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes. - Romans 1:16
The Rescue Project is a global movement that launched in 2022. It flows from the conviction that the most urgent task in the Church is a compelling and attractive proclamation of the gospel. Its aim is threefold: that people might be 1) overwhelmed by the good news of what God has done for us, 2) moved to surrender their lives to Jesus in faith, and, 3) mobilized for mission.
The Rescue Project is a multi-week video experience of the gospel and is designed to be offered in a small group format everywhere and anywhere - in parishes, homes, schools, college campuses, seminaries, workplaces, prisons and beyond.
