Maybe it’s just me, but does anyone else feel like manners and common courtesy have been thrown to the wolves? I mean literally, people behave like wolves. In this past year I’ve witnessed the worst of people..rude, inconsiderate, selfish and sometimes just plain despicable. I truly believe the world is a better place when all people show respect, kindness and consideration, and there is no better person to dig into this topic than Lizzie Post.
Lizzie is the great-great-granddaughter of Emily Post and a co-president of the Emily Post Institute. She is also the co-host of the Awesome Etiquette podcast. I grew up with Emily’s Post’s book of Etiquette sitting on a table in our living room and while my mom never made me read the book cover to cover, the contents were communicated and good manners were non-negotiable.
Lizzie and I are talking about modern manners and the ways in which we can handle ourselves with consideration, respect, and honesty.
