I started this podcast with the intention of sharing stories of hope. Today’s guest Regina Ellis is not just a story of hope, but she is a true champion for it. In 1995, after her five-year-old daughter Alexandra died of cancer, Regina founded The Children’s Cancer Association with the goal of making the world a little better for the thousands of kids just like her daughter whose childhoods are stolen by a diagnosis of illness, accident, or injury. In the past 25+ years, CCA has helped hundreds of thousands of children find their Joy—one song, one friendship, one breath of ocean air at a time.

Regina believes that joy fuels innovation, fosters creativity, and has the ability to truly change lives and her goal through CCA is to do all that she can to give, get and share joy.

About Regina

Regina Ellis and her family founded CCA in 1995 after her five-year-old daughter Alexandra died of cancer. Along with other parents, pioneers, and dreamers she set out to create something extraordinary: an organization with a new vision for what pediatric cancer support services might look like.
