Rich Bennett 0:00
So I decided to, especially now that the pond case is in 100 countries. I wanted to talk about our lovely county and, you know, promote it because it's I've lived here forever and love it. And I got asked how many of us are here? One, three, two, three, four, five, seven of us. I can still count in my age least.

Yes,

but talking about all the great things in Hartford County, some of the history places, we love to go to Tyler and I do it a lot. We do it once a month. We're always somebody events coming up and then we always talk about, Oh, no, we always sell the restaurant or whatever.

Tyler Zeisloft 0:43
Last month we did something for the.

Rich Bennett 0:45
Whole year we did it.

Tyler Zeisloft 0:47
Well this month, I should say.

Rich Bennett 0:48
And I didn't get anything.

Alicia Hamilton 0:51
So nothing.

Rich Bennett 0:52
So I'm going to go around the table and have everybody introduce themselves, what they do and how long they've been here for. Again, starting with the man himself.

Tyler Zeisloft 0:59
All right. My name is Tyler, so I stopped on the marketing and communications coordinator for Visit Hartford. And I've lived here for 40 years minus college, but I've lived here for 40.

Rich Bennett 1:12
35 years, only lived here for 40.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:14
Years in the crazy and the crazy.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:18
High. Hi, my name is Jennifer Hathaway. I'm the local photographer with sincerely so photography. And then I also work full time for a PR agency called Profiles and I'm it's a marketing and social media company, full service marketing agency, I should say. Rich Bennett 1:44
Your whole life. So 21 years?

Jennifer Hathaway 1:46
Yes, exactly 21 years, right? 25.

Rich Bennett 1:49
Yeah. Okay.

Alicia Hamilton 1:50

And we help them become stable and move their lives forward. So I have been a Harford County resident my whole life as well. Rich. I'm waiting for it.

Alicia Hamilton 2:32
So I'm going to be.

Jennifer Hathaway 2:33
But I raised my my son here as well. He's 23 years old now. And.

Alicia Hamilton 2:39
Wow.

Rich Bennett 2:39
So 60 years.

Alicia Hamilton 2:40
Yeah. Yeah. I was a young mama, but I love.

Jennifer Hathaway 2:45
Harford County and I also do a lot of my classmates, which is why I'm coming up.

Rich Bennett 2:53
For the reunion.

Jennifer Hathaway 2:54
Yeah. Yeah.

Alicia Hamilton 2:57
25. 25. Okay.

Hi, I'm Emily Adolph.

Jennifer Hathaway 3:04
I'm also a local photographer with my business, Emily and photography, as well as a holistic healer with my business. The Soul Left also grew up in Hartford County, been here for about 40 years,

but not in total. So I lived outside of the state for about 13 years combined. Oh, excuse me. I've been back for about ten years now.

Rich Bennett 3:33
What does it say? Having all of us lived outside of the.

Alicia Hamilton 3:38
Really?

Jennifer Hathaway 3:39
Well, I lived outside the state, so I been.

Rich Bennett 3:41
Yeah, so.

Alicia Hamilton 3:42
I've lived.

Jennifer Hathaway 3:43
All over Hartford County, but never outside.

Alicia Hamilton 3:45
Of it. Okay.

Derek Pentz 3:48
Oh, my turn. Yeah, I did.

Rich Bennett 3:49
Yeah. I mean, because Emily to the right. Yeah.

Derek Pentz 3:53
I'm Derek Pines. I'm our host of Hash Rocks or Lights Coffee, very podcast with my drivers on it. So. No, darling, I'm a local artist photographer just, like, creative and have degrees. I've been in here. Oh, an independent investigator, too, which is why I love it all. So I got everyone to say my real age. I've been here 33 years, born and raised at Harvard Rural Hospital, are born there, raised and have degrees on and off, Lived on the West Coast a little bit, but always maintained some type of presence in every county. So it's a nice place to come back to.

Rich Bennett 4:25
And the one whose book should be finished soon. Oh yeah.

Julia Chang 4:29
Well, I'm Julia Chang. I am a mind and body transformation coach, and my husband and I own U.S. Tech Academy off Main Street. And I also have some. Yes, aspiring author. And yeah, I've been in Harper County for 12 years. The day after I got married and the day after my husband brought me up to Harper County.

Rich Bennett 4:49
You've only been here 12 years.

Julia Chang 4:51
Yes, because. Yeah, we've been married 12 years.

Rich Bennett 4:53
So what seems like a much longer than that year.

Alicia Hamilton 4:55
Yeah.

Jennifer Hathaway 4:57
Well, when you click, you just like.

Alicia Hamilton 4:59
That's right. Yes.

Jennifer Hathaway 5:01
It feels like forever.

Rich Bennett 5:02
And, and I've been here.

Jennifer Hathaway 5:06
A long time.

Rich Bennett 5:07
58 years since 65. So I've seen how Harper County is built off, seeing a lot of the historic places go away, seeing a lot of the weeds grow,

all that stuff. So but family history, correct me if I'm wrong, Jennifer, you probably got the longest family history here, right?

Jennifer Hathaway 5:32
Probably. So. My family started Lori's orchard, which started here in Georgetown, and the one in Georgetown is now in development. But there is still an orchard in Churchville, Maryland. So many of you have probably enjoyed our apple cider. Yeah, my cousin Candace now runs the farm and she's doing a great job. And you can also find her to have the great farmers market. So that farm, I believe the land was purchased in 1928 and then they started to press cider in the sixties

and wow, it's kind of went from there. Yeah, there could be a whole nother podcast. I could.

Alicia Hamilton 6:14
Go.

Rich Bennett 6:15
There. Have you ever gone there? Oh, God.

Jennifer Hathaway 6:18
The apple cider.

Rich Bennett 6:19
The apple cider flute, is it where the slushie or whatever.

Jennifer Hathaway 6:23
Yes, the apple cider slushie. Yeah. There's something about it being frozen that just hits like.

Rich Bennett 6:29
Oh it's good.

Jennifer Hathaway 6:30
Yeah, it's delicious. It's and they have the apple cider donuts now. Oh, yeah.

Alicia Hamilton 6:36
Why didn't you.

Rich Bennett 6:37
Bring. Yes.

Alicia Hamilton 6:39
You.

Rich Bennett 6:40
Oh. If you've never gotten the apple cider from.

Derek Pentz 6:42
I've got on the side I have donuts.

Alicia Hamilton 6:44
Oh

yeah.

Jennifer Hathaway 6:47
Yeah. I kind of like introducing new things and listening to what customers that have been customers for years and years and years and also growing up in Harper County like, Hey, we would love to have this. And so it's been great to see like all of the new things that have been introduced and they partner with a lot of other local businesses for honey and other jams and things like that that you can find in the store.

Rich Bennett 7:11
They need to connect with a local winery.

Jennifer Hathaway 7:15
Oh, is that Candace?

Rich Bennett 7:17
Well, we we did a wedding. We, um. I was a special specialty. Bartender. Okay, So I hope it was a brut. Champagne mixed with the apple cider. Oof! With a there's two of them, so that with a couple apple chunks in it and the other has cinnamon stick in it.

Jennifer Hathaway 7:37
It was to save the time. Kind of like a sparkling apple cider.

Alicia Hamilton 7:40
Yeah.

Rich Bennett 7:41
Have a Captain Jack is very good. That was orchard apple cider with the captain Morgan spiced strong yum.

Derek Pentz 7:50
Oh yeah it's good Hot too in the wintertime.

Rich Bennett 7:53
Oh, yeah.

Alicia Hamilton 7:53
Oh, yeah.

Rich Bennett 7:54
That's good. Yeah.

Jennifer Hathaway 7:56
Oh, we're going to have to do another podcast in the summertime so we can have this, like leading into fall. Candace is down. Well, we can do like.

Alicia Hamilton 8:03
Yeah, Yeah.

Rich Bennett 8:05
And how many years for you?

Jennifer Hathaway 8:06
I know, I know. We're going to do it. We are going to do it. And it's it's almost their 100th anniversary of Laura's orchard, so it's awesome. This will be, well, maybe we'll, like, plant like, uh, like a five year lead up to it.

Alicia Hamilton 8:21
Be PR hat.

Jennifer Hathaway 8:22
Come on. Right now. So we're going to start off with the alcohol and all the different ways that you can mix the apple cider in with your favorite drink.

Rich Bennett 8:33
Yeah. Okay.

Jennifer Hathaway 8:34
All right. For the summer. Um, save the date.

Rich Bennett 8:39
I haven't. I can see the link to the calendar now, so you can mark your schedule in this way. You get the reminders and hopefully you don't forget.

Jennifer Hathaway 8:46
I will not forget. Top of mind.

Rich Bennett 8:50
So I want to switch gears to the stories that people have heard it there. This is where you're going to come in a lot.

Derek Pentz 8:58
O is very haunted. It's very haunted.

Rich Bennett 9:02
It's it's Jewel is looking at you like, boy, I.

Julia Chang 9:04
Am such a scaredy cat.

Derek Pentz 9:06
Another there's just a really dark dog inside.

Alicia Hamilton 9:09
You know, I think.

Derek Pentz 9:12
They're good ghosts.

Tyler Zeisloft 9:12
So answer this for me. How come every time we hear when some you know, if there's a spirit or we watch, like those TV shows of Paranormal Activity, it's always like somebody from the 1800s or 70. It's not like John from 1995. And it's do see that.

Alicia Hamilton 9:34
I mean, I have.

Derek Pentz 9:34
Come across those guys.

Tyler Zeisloft 9:35
Before really because we never.

Alicia Hamilton 9:37
Hear about it. Yeah, it doesn't have that. I know. That's like it's all.

Tyler Zeisloft 9:42
Uncle Bill and.

Alicia Hamilton 9:43
You know, they're like literally what are we got to see to really captivate people? Yeah, well.

Tyler Zeisloft 9:50
The guy in the chain wallet.

Jennifer Hathaway 9:52
I want to hear about this. So because I was not aware that I mean, I see these little, you know, take a haunted tour of Harvard degrees and stuff, but I'm like, I know they're trying to raise money and I just keep them moving.

Alicia Hamilton 10:01
But well.

Derek Pentz 10:01
A lot of times, like, I'm also I come at the paranormal as a way to keep history alive because a lot of people want to, like, fictionalize it to fit with, like the ghost stories. But if you do the research, a lot of the ghosts are actually based on historical events. There's one ghost in particular at the Savior, and half degree is Jeremiah. He was a jazz musician that was murdered up on the balcony in the twenties, and he's.

Jennifer Hathaway 10:21
There was a balcony.

Alicia Hamilton 10:22
Involved. Oh, yeah.

Derek Pentz 10:23
And I felt like he's kind of like he would if he was alive today. We'd be like, good friends. I can just feel it and he's just he's a cool dude. I know Jared and Katie now have experience, and most of us have been in the up in the balcony, have had some interaction with him.

Tyler Zeisloft 10:37
So I know the American Legion didn't have any great vets. Quite a few of them, Yeah. There's a woman who lives upstairs.

Derek Pentz 10:44
Yeah. Oh, yeah.

Tyler Zeisloft 10:45
And there are some

soldiers. Oh, yes, there is, because my father used to manage it, and he he knew my father as all this mumbo jumbo, weird stuff. And he doesn't believe it.

Derek Pentz 11:01
But he had an experience, made him.

Tyler Zeisloft 11:02
He met and he was like, I'm going.

Alicia Hamilton 11:07
Home.

Tyler Zeisloft 11:07
Yeah, I'm going to because he's he was stocking the the bar. And he, like, turned around and there was a man standing there in a long brown coat and like, cool, because they had some.

Derek Pentz 11:19
Of the ghosts in there go back to the.

Tyler Zeisloft 11:20
Revolutionary War. Yeah. And he had like a Civil War hat and like, my dad just, like, stood still for a second, and then it went away. Yeah, but upstairs the because it used to be and I hope the fact checkers don't fact check me too hard. It's been a long time, but the American Legion used to be like an infantry or something like that, like a hospital for soldiers and stuff.

Derek Pentz 11:43
And it was like it was an end that people would stop at for their cross examine a river. So it has a lot of like that tourism history, right?

Tyler Zeisloft 11:51
Yeah. And so my dad would be up there and the like, the kitchen door would open. Yeah.

Rich Bennett 11:57
Oh, cool.

Tyler Zeisloft 11:58
Yeah. And I cannot remember her name is driving me crazy, but she.

Derek Pentz 12:01
Yeah, there's energy up on the third floor. So I don't know if they're open to the power because a lot of places are very like we don't want to publicize that.

Tyler Zeisloft 12:08
It's scary.

Derek Pentz 12:09
But yeah, but at the same time I'm like parents of tourism's a huge business. And I'm like, if you marketed as goes, you're going to.

Jennifer Hathaway 12:14
Get people travel from all over the world.

Alicia Hamilton 12:16
And I guess the whole thing with Gettysburg, right?

Rich Bennett 12:18
Right. Yeah.

Derek Pentz 12:19
New Orleans too.

Alicia Hamilton 12:20
So Ellicott City has a good following even point. Yeah. Okay.

Rich Bennett 12:25
Well, Admiral.

Tyler Zeisloft 12:25
Fallon. Yeah.

Alicia Hamilton 12:26
Yeah.

Jennifer Hathaway 12:27
So where's the other goes towards? I know De Grace.

Derek Pentz 12:30
Has a bunch.

Alicia Hamilton 12:31
A lot of, like.

Derek Pentz 12:32
Private residences is what the most of what I deal with up here. But a lot of them are like, it's like darlington's a lot. So. So I have a state park has like there's Bigfoot sightings there that people don't talk about, which I find fascinating, but they are like, I know, like bowling supposedly has a few goats in there, so. But most of those old buildings do.

Jennifer Hathaway 12:53
The armory House or Hayes House.

Derek Pentz 12:56
Yes. Yeah. Yeah, that's another one. Well, I mean, have a grass is a little Chicago with a 20. So it was like a party town. And that's where a lot of the goats come from.

Alicia Hamilton 13:04
So.

Rich Bennett 13:05
Yeah, with the racetrack there. Oh, yeah. Al Capone would go there a lot.

Derek Pentz 13:08
A lot of them were white. Al Capone, I believe, is where all used to be. That building. There's been reports of him there, so. Oh, really? Oh, yeah. And I think there's a few prostitutes.

Jennifer Hathaway 13:18
Nothing dangerous. Nothing. Nothing like nothing.

Derek Pentz 13:21
There's one building. I'm not going to say. There's one building that has something dark in it that I've experienced. But other than that, most of them are just like, good time. People are just going to have fun and they might play like a joke on you, but they're not anything to be like freaked out.

Rich Bennett 13:34
Like I want to sit there with an inoffensive silver.

Derek Pentz 13:37
Oh yeah, that's a.

Rich Bennett 13:39
Julia and I are going to do.

Alicia Hamilton 13:42
I investigation there.

Tyler Zeisloft 13:44
So yeah. Darrell who runs that is.

Alicia Hamilton 13:46
Like that they're like Oh yeah.

Derek Pentz 13:48
No it's, yeah, there's this winter. There are some.

Tyler Zeisloft 13:53
Yeah. We're talking about Spencer Silverman.

Rich Bennett 13:57
I did. I actually recorded an episode there at the Spencer Davis Spencer Silver. I keep Spencer Davis Spencer Silver house. I was hoping to pick up something, but I was.

Jennifer Hathaway 14:09
Going to say anything. No.

Rich Bennett 14:11
No.

Jennifer Hathaway 14:12
Okay, so we, we help manage the PR and social media for Lord Baltimore Hotel and that is, oh, I had reached out to.

Alicia Hamilton 14:20
Julianna and.

Jennifer Hathaway 14:22
We were trying to we were having like an influencer night and ghost tours, and we actually have another one coming up. But yeah, conveniently she was out of town that day. I now I'm starting to realize maybe she wasn't out of town.

Tyler Zeisloft 14:37
She was in Bel Air.

Alicia Hamilton 14:38
Yes, I won't be out of town any time. That event.

Jennifer Hathaway 14:43
We had. Where is Marty this now? This was closer to Halloween when the whole paranormal stuff is very high. Like, very, very popular. And whereas Marty and his crew were out there and the photographer and the TV crew had experience, something that they had never had happen before, their batteries.

Alicia Hamilton 15:06
Oh, that's just died.

Jennifer Hathaway 15:09
And they couldn't explain it. Like how how crazy is that.

Rich Bennett 15:13
When I recorded this first episode of the podcast, which was supposed to be strictly on YouTube and it was WASC, the old radio station.

Jennifer Hathaway 15:24
Okay, great.

Rich Bennett 15:25
You're familiar with.

Tyler Zeisloft 15:25
It. Top of the hill.

Rich Bennett 15:26
So it was the station was.

Alicia Hamilton 15:29
Yeah. Oh yeah.

Rich Bennett 15:30
The station was the point at the time. So the first episode I recorded the, you know, Steve Denning was using the camera halfway through. He's a rich we have a problems with some actually. We said the camera's not working brand new camera.

Alicia Hamilton 15:48
And hopefully.

Rich Bennett 15:49
That's what he's saying. So it was working fine beforehand.

Alicia Hamilton 15:52
I it happened like.

Rich Bennett 15:53
Hey it's like you're right be it we don't know. I mean, something was definitely drawing energy from it, though.

What's that?

Derek Pentz 16:03
I keep batteries with me like a big old thing in my bag because it happens so much.

Rich Bennett 16:08
I mean, I, it's crazy. And my sister experienced one was a Swan Harbour That's another. Yeah. In the middle of the road. Mm.

Alicia Hamilton 16:17
And wow.

Rich Bennett 16:18
I've never, the only time I've experienced things were at private residences. That was it.

Jennifer Hathaway 16:24
Okay.

Rich Bennett 16:25
I've heard like down here especially the Rumsey mansion.

Jennifer Hathaway 16:28
Mm. Yeah. The one

I always wondered about the homestead that they may behind Bel area. I live in Homestead Village and behind Air United Methodist, that big mansion, you know, I'm talking about. They just sold it was it belonged to the church, but now I don't know who bought it Anyway. I always wondered about that because it looks like it probably has some stories. So that is the original location of the the furniture ministry. So, yeah, Bel Air United had had a furniture ministry there and they would collect items and store them up in this super old house. So I spent some time in there and been in there. And I'll tell you what, I went to the basement like just the steps and looked down and I was like.

Alicia Hamilton 17:18
I'm not doing all that stuff.

Jennifer Hathaway 17:20
Yeah, no, but. And one time I pulled up and it's got like this balcony on the second floor on the side, and I was up there for whatever. And I pulled up and around and there were.

Alicia Hamilton 17:30
Two.

Jennifer Hathaway 17:31
Super big black like pros. And I was like, This is the creepiest looking thing. I am cum just driving away. Like it just.

Alicia Hamilton 17:39
Looks like it's on.

Jennifer Hathaway 17:41
My parents house is in Darlington and I believe the year is 1899. Wow. And the way that the steps are so when you walk in they never use the front door so everybody always goes to the back. But when you walk into the entryway and like you look up, there's like a little you can see a little bit of the staircase. And our dog used to sit in the entryway and just awe and just and just growl up there. Nothing. Nobody else was there. And that was the creepiest thing because she wasn't like that. But she would just sit there, growl it. To me, it was nothing. But apparently she saw something.

Derek Pentz 18:19
But with animals, I was like.

Jennifer Hathaway 18:20
That's what I think.

Julia Chang 18:22
I see. Yeah, I swear by that.

Jennifer Hathaway 18:24
Now, technically, we all do, right? We all come into this world with psychic abilities. However.

Alicia Hamilton 18:31
Through programming.

Jennifer Hathaway 18:33
Through just life in general, we forget and we just lose it. So it takes us kind of going inward and really taking the time to awaken our own abilities. So everybody has the Claire's right. The clairvoyant, Claire Santa and all the different Claire's. But yeah, it just takes us. That's so taking the time to awaken that.

Derek Pentz 18:56
And the more you.

Alicia Hamilton 18:57
Heighten.

Derek Pentz 18:57
And the more you're, like, around the paranormal, it'll actually get stronger. I feel like. Yeah, because I went professional with it. I've been doing it since I was a little kid. But this year, especially, I think because I'm around it more often, I'm way more sensitive to it. Where I'm around the spirit, I be like, Oh, there's a spirit here. And you kind of because your body's going to react to it.

Tyler Zeisloft 19:15
Do you think they are receptive to you? Yes, in the sense I told you, they look at me.

Alicia Hamilton 19:22
Yeah. They're like.

Jennifer Hathaway 19:23
He's got like an antenna.

Alicia Hamilton 19:24
Right?

Derek Pentz 19:25
I'm like a lighthouse. And like, yeah, they're like, Oh, he could talk to me. Oh, let's go.

Alicia Hamilton 19:29
Yeah.

Jennifer Hathaway 19:29
Is there one there.

Alicia Hamilton 19:30
At the lake?

Derek Pentz 19:31
Oh, yeah. I've had one of my good friends, like in, you know, the lighthouse in the middle of the day with a spare box, and you'll get EVP. She has a bunch of stuff. That's what actually got her into it.

Jennifer Hathaway 19:41
So I believe the building we're sitting in right now doing this recording. Oh, mystery. All right. Do you feel anything?

Derek Pentz 19:49
Yeah, there's something over there. I didn't. If it wasn't.

Alicia Hamilton 19:54
About this, see that? I was like, Oh, what's up there?

Rich Bennett 19:59
Oh, that's in there.

Tyler Zeisloft 20:01
Terrified.

Alicia Hamilton 20:01
Oh, yeah. And then there were five times. My God, it's not that scary.

Tyler Zeisloft 20:11
Oh.

Derek Pentz 20:13
No, it's with the mailbox, but it's attached to.

Jennifer Hathaway 20:17
This strong powerhouse of a woman over here is.

Alicia Hamilton 20:21
You'll be fine. You'll be safe. Ha ha ha. She's kicking in.

Jennifer Hathaway 20:24
There, by the way, with her taekwondo.

Alicia Hamilton 20:26
Skills.

Rich Bennett 20:30
It's right. It's probably my brother.

Jennifer Hathaway 20:32
You're your own where you can't be.

Alicia Hamilton 20:35
I feel like they heard that you don't want anything to do that. So I kicked it. Did I go? It did. It did

it.

Jennifer Hathaway 20:45
Hurt? If can you, like, explain for someone?

How could you

paranormal investigating and to go, like, see a meeting or have your cards.

Derek Pentz 20:59
That's that's a little bit that's like tarot card, all that stuff. It's an aspect of it, but that's also more of like a social thing.

Jennifer Hathaway 21:06
Okay. But like reaching like if you want, like, if you were trying to reach somebody on the other side, oh.

Derek Pentz 21:12
That would be mediumship and psychic. That's a whole other thing. Like, I mean, the dead can talk. I would, I would say, but like sometimes a lot of those people, you got to be careful because there's a there's a capitalistic gain and there's also like a lot of bullshit with it. I've tried to, but it's one of those things where I find this, where it almost gets into an unethical thing with all the psychics because people are so desperate for answers to have some contact from the other side. And psychics, unfortunately, play into that. And they kind of and these people, they think they're the only hope. And then it's like, oh, here's $70 for a reading. And it's stuff like that where panel investigating I'm going in to disprove a haunting, not prove it. Oh, so that's kind of and I come out a little bit more. The scientific base and a history base with it.

Tyler Zeisloft 22:00
So yeah, if you were to open up the theater and say we have a paranormal investigator coming, if anybody wants to watch him or her investigate, you might sell 15 to 20 tickets. But if you were to say a psychic medium is coming to tell you all about your aunt or uncle that passed away at your house when you were 11, it would be.

Derek Pentz 22:21
I would.

Tyler Zeisloft 22:22
Take my.

Alicia Hamilton 22:22
Money.

Tyler Zeisloft 22:23
Because they people want answers. Yeah.

Derek Pentz 22:26
I do. I do think I want one has that ability to like tap into it. But also there's you got to kind of sift through it and not everything they say it's going to be.

Alicia Hamilton 22:36
And even they try.

Tyler Zeisloft 22:37
And even they know that what you just said, the mediums and they will add that to their.

Derek Pentz 22:44
Yeah.

Tyler Zeisloft 22:44
I don't want to call it a performance because there are good people out there. But like John Edward, for example, the one who was very famous on television, he people would raise their hand to be like, It's me. Like I had the yellow rubber ducky keychain on my bookbag. And he's like, I'm not feeling it from you. And then moves over somewhere else. And I went to give that sort of like level.

Derek Pentz 23:05
They have to have a level theater to them. Yeah, we a brown has it, has it, there's like a level of theatrics and like a stage character. Yeah. Involved with it.

Tyler Zeisloft 23:14
Absolutely no.

Rich Bennett 23:16
Target. I've had a couple of them on on the show and some of them even I didn't realize it. Everybody's got the ability and it can be taught, Oh yeah, I never knew that.

Jennifer Hathaway 23:28
And meditation is a really great way just to get into that zone, your inner being right, listening to your soul, you know, everybody has that deeper knowing, but it does. That takes practice. It takes time to really work on guiding the minds.

Alicia Hamilton 23:48
Yeah, right.

Jennifer Hathaway 23:49
Those thoughts that are constantly coming through, you can't completely shut off the mind. It's impossible. But you can learn to kind of silence it a little bit and really go inward and understand what your inner voice is guiding you and telling you I'm just here. It's not necessarily half county related, so I apologize for that. So do you guys have any I, I call my angels, but do you feel like you've ever heard from your family members?

Derek Pentz 24:16
Oh, I call them ancestor spirits.

Jennifer Hathaway 24:17
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Because I hear my grandma all the time. Oh, you actually picked up my boyfriend. I wouldn't look twice at him. And she's like, Alisha, he's looking at you. Just smile at him. And I turned and smiled and smile back.

Alicia Hamilton 24:30
And then.

Jennifer Hathaway 24:30
Yeah, she also still yells at me because I live in.

Alicia Hamilton 24:33
A home.

Jennifer Hathaway 24:33
That I grew up in. She also I still hear her like the other day I was kind of, you know, taking care of the bottom of my feet. And I was sitting at my kitchen table doing it and she goes, I can't believe you're sitting at the kitchen table doing that. I give that to her. She's very clean. It's gross. I'm like, God, I hear you, man.

Alicia Hamilton 24:52
I know we.

Rich Bennett 24:53
All the time. And there's there's times I can walk in the house and I can smell it because my brother and my father had distinct smells to them because of the cigarettes they smelled. And there's times that even my daughter and my wife have and my son, if he comes over, will just smell. There's times that I've woken up because I just could feel my dog breathing on me, which I haven't had a dog since God knows how long. But the last of my head was, I mean, she was the best I've ever had. So just these little things.

And sometimes I feel like my brother's smacking.

Alicia Hamilton 25:38
Or.

Rich Bennett 25:38
Mugging. My mother, I don't know. But no, there's and we've had growing up. My best friend lives across the street and the family that lives there now have told me they sense something in his room or seen figures of him down there. It's like, Yeah, this is right. Keith, what's coming up for you? Have a good time. You know, they don't bother me.

Alicia Hamilton 26:02

just. The family.

Rich Bennett 26:07
Yeah. I mean, I and I've said it before, I would love. I think I told you there, I would love to do a podcast recording, have a spirit sitting right where you're at and just talk to them and ask them why you know what is holding you back here. You just tell me your story.

Derek Pentz 26:24
I just do you think he's earthbound or it crossed over and come back? Who? Your brother, your brothers, your brother that he said.

Rich Bennett 26:30
Oh, no. Anybody? Okay.

Derek Pentz 26:32
Cause there's two different types of spirits there. Yeah. Earthbound, which are ones they most likely don't know their dad, or they're. They don't want to cross over. Some reason there's are the ones that have crossed over and then they can come back.

Rich Bennett 26:41
No, I think he definitely crossed it, especially after his wife passed away.

Tyler Zeisloft 26:46
So do you think it doesn't happen if people want it? What do you mean? Like if somebody really wants their father's spirit to be here?

Derek Pentz 26:57
Well, humans can, like, manifest. They that's something else. I've also I've dealt with before. I mean, you can always like call them in and stuff, but once they cross over, it's like they can come back and forth, whereas if they're earth bound, they're they're stuck here. They have to cross over, they need help.

Jennifer Hathaway 27:15
Somebody has to help them cross over, allow them to understand that they're no longer in their physical body. Most of the time when they're earthbound like that, it's a tragic, sudden death. Like something really quick happens, right?

Alicia Hamilton 27:28
And they they weren't prepared or.

Jennifer Hathaway 27:31
You know, they aren't aware, you know, that they are no longer attached to their body. And so they do. They stay. Their spirit is kind of stuck, earthbound, stuck here. So they need somebody like who practices like Derek to help them

understand. You need to go forward to the light. You need to cross over.

Tyler Zeisloft 27:54
You're entering.

Jennifer Hathaway 27:54
You're no longer in it. So is that why if somebody is ill, you know, for a long time and

they know that the end is coming, like a lot of times you will hear them, Oh, that's Uncle Bob sitting over there. And like they start to see people like they're coming to get them. They're preparing for. Yeah. For they're ascension.

Rich Bennett 28:16
I think.

I think a lot of times people know when they're about to pass, like my brother, he called my younger brother up the night before and just they were talking. He said, you know what, if I die tomorrow, I'm okay with it. And sure enough, he did. Yeah, it's like he knew whose we are. But she Julie is getting goose bumps.

Alicia Hamilton 28:41
So she's like, Let's move here, Let's move forward. And I really I didn't talk about

that email thing about the wrong thing to be here. This is a bad you want to get pounded on to the left. Down the hall.

Tyler Zeisloft 28:57
Into the left is the parks and trails one?

Rich Bennett 28:59
Yeah, because it's start it's.

Alicia Hamilton 29:03
Really hard for county right. Because it.

Rich Bennett 29:06
Goes with this.

Jennifer Hathaway 29:07
Right.

Rich Bennett 29:08
Because of history. Which brings me to the next one. As far as the historical places in Hartford, hard here, good policy here.

Tyler Zeisloft 29:16
But as the best part about a podcast, the pass the line.

Alicia Hamilton 29:20
And what.

Rich Bennett 29:23
Are what are some of your favorite historical places in the county that you've been to?

Oh, and I know there's a lot mines.

Derek Pentz 29:33
The state theater. Yeah, that's my favorite.

Tyler Zeisloft 29:35
Subject for space. It is such a cool space. I mean, I guess based off of our previous conversation, the first thing that comes to my mind is the American Legion. And in HAVERTY Grace, now that all of the ones in Hartford County are are special and have their own unique stories within them. But I worked at the one in HAVERTY Grace and all of those cool stories. And like I said, my father was that all that ghost stuff mumbo jumbo. And then it woke him up one morning right there when he was working and he was like, I believe just go away.

Alicia Hamilton 30:10
You know.

Tyler Zeisloft 30:11
It's just really that's very cool to me. And it's not just because it's haunted. There's a and forgive me for using the phrase haunted. It's not because there's spirits there, but it's it's got a lot of stories inside of those walls. Yeah.

Jennifer Hathaway 30:23
If only they could talk or like, more like, abruptly, I guess we'll say.

Alicia Hamilton 30:28
Yeah. Yeah.

Jennifer Hathaway 30:30
So being a photographer in Hartford County, a lot of times if I'm photographing an event, a wedding, a lot of the venues in Hartford County are historic. You've got.

Alicia Hamilton 30:41
Manual labor.

Jennifer Hathaway 30:43
Yes. And I love talking to some of the workers here. They will tell me some of their stories and some of their experiences.

Rich Bennett 30:51
Is that Felton working at over there? Last time I was there, I don't think the fellows work.

Jennifer Hathaway 30:56
And I haven't ever seen an urn.

Rich Bennett 30:58
God, I wish they would get that up.

Jennifer Hathaway 30:59
And yeah, there used to be this on Main Street, there used to be this art school I think was called Creative people. Yeah. Signed up for. Yeah. And we went to the area dungeon to like draw or paint or whatever. Just be creative. And I think at that time it was because I remember drawing the fountain, because I think it was working at that time and it was spectacular.

Rich Bennett 31:19
The grounds are.

Alicia Hamilton 31:20
Beautiful.

Jennifer Hathaway 31:21
That is a home that had a lot of from your.

Alicia Hamilton 31:23
Mom pa up to.

Jennifer Hathaway 31:24
The Lyric building. Yes, that is one of my favorite hills too, to like, get a workout in. Yeah, that's my favorite when it's finished.

Alicia Hamilton 31:31
Well, just.

Jennifer Hathaway 31:31
Here, just to hear.

Tyler Zeisloft 31:33
The story of of Delirious Denver and why it's there and who used to own it. And then it was left for the family and like it just.

Jennifer Hathaway 31:42
And it was on the railroad.

Tyler Zeisloft 31:45
Right.

Jennifer Hathaway 31:45
Like that was.

Tyler Zeisloft 31:45
That because the doctor at Johns Hopkins. Right. And just so cool.

Jennifer Hathaway 31:51
Yeah. There's a lot of historic venues that anybody you can take advantage of, like renting out for their own party. And it just adds that charm.

Alicia Hamilton 32:01
Mm.

Jennifer Hathaway 32:02
I do love that the old courthouse is pretty core. Like the original courthouse that's on the front part, right? Is, is awesome. And I also like there's beer hall that I mean it's been a bazillion, you know things but that little balcony on the front of it I just it's it's just a cool cool space you know and I love how so much of over the.

Alicia Hamilton 32:22
Years I got to go.

Rich Bennett 32:24
I know that's what I keep.

Jennifer Hathaway 32:25
Said that I'm sure everybody knows I'm talking about, but there's no actual name to it. So it's this old stone building. If you're headed down, I guess this is it.

It's it's on the way to Charleston, right? If you're coming from Hartford, what's that road that Hartford Mall sits on?

Alicia Hamilton 32:42
And then you're right.

Jennifer Hathaway 32:44
And then it takes you down to Hartford Road. There's like, that old stone building that sits there.

Alicia Hamilton 32:51
Oh, yeah.

Jennifer Hathaway 32:51
Yeah, yeah. I always wonder.

Tyler Zeisloft 32:54
Like, I used to be a.

Alicia Hamilton 32:55
Nightclub, wasn't it?

Jennifer Hathaway 32:56
Like, it's like, the coolest building.

Alicia Hamilton 32:57
I feel like it could totally. Yeah.

Tyler Zeisloft 32:58
Because now behind it, there's a there's a Conrad's across the street. It's old farm road.

Alicia Hamilton 33:04
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yes. Yeah.

Tyler Zeisloft 33:05
That light.

Rich Bennett 33:06
Oh, yeah.

Alicia Hamilton 33:07
Yeah, yeah.

Jennifer Hathaway 33:08
Where those new condos are. It's like I see the condos.

Tyler Zeisloft 33:11
So if you're on Valley.

Jennifer Hathaway 33:12
Road or.

Tyler Zeisloft 33:13
If you're coming from the mall and straight down old.

Rich Bennett 33:15
Joppa Road.

Alicia Hamilton 33:16
Yeah, Yeah.

Rich Bennett 33:17
What you said job before. Oh, John. Just to about what's good.

Tyler Zeisloft 33:21
That'll do.

Alicia Hamilton 33:23
Conrad's. Yeah. I was trying to think of a.

Rich Bennett 33:26
I've always wondered what that was to.

Alicia Hamilton 33:28
It's a cool building.

Jennifer Hathaway 33:30
I know something, really.

Tyler Zeisloft 33:31
But and they have. And the county hasn't done anything with it. Like they haven't. I'm not saying that they're supposed to, but, like, it hasn't been torn down. It hasn't been refurbished.

Rich Bennett 33:39
I wonder if it was Old Toll Plaza like you had the war in by the mall. Mm. The building, the house which was a toll plaza. I wonder if it's something like that.

Alicia Hamilton 33:48
Yeah.

Tyler Zeisloft 33:48
Yeah. It was.

Jennifer Hathaway 33:49
A farmhouse.

Tyler Zeisloft 33:50
Yeah, but it is cool.

Alicia Hamilton 33:52
Yeah.

Jennifer Hathaway 33:52
Jerusalem ls pretty awesome.

Alicia Hamilton 33:54
Yeah. Oh, wow.

Jennifer Hathaway 33:57
And then the. The original chapel of Mt. Christian Church is. It's really cool. It's like, over. Yeah, They just celebrated 200 years.

Alicia Hamilton 34:05
Yeah.

Jennifer Hathaway 34:06
18, 18, 24. There was an event on Saturday, actually.

Alicia Hamilton 34:09
Wow.

Jennifer Hathaway 34:10
Celebration. Mm. Yeah. It's a really pretty building inside, though. Yeah. Harmony really is the home of a lot of history.

Tyler Zeisloft 34:18
Well, Cavity Grace was only one vote away from being our nation's capital. Yeah, we lost by one vote and that's. Yeah. How many greats was a part of John Smith's journey? It was Marquis de Lafayette, part of his track. He actually named the town, um, Havre de Grace. And that's why the statue sits right there in the front of town. There's a ton, a ton of history inhabiting very specifically, Yeah. Oh, yeah. Being on the water like it is. And.

Rich Bennett 34:50
And we're worse. And that was the major port for a while.

Tyler Zeisloft 34:52
Oh, okay. I didn't know.

Rich Bennett 34:54
But your job with the town and job was. Yeah, of course. Now you ain't getting a ship in here. Yeah, but yeah, it was a major port for all the ships used to come in.

Jennifer Hathaway 35:05
Hey, how's the house for John Wilkes Booth?

Alicia Hamilton 35:07
Yeah. Is that okay? Yeah. Yeah, that's got.

Jennifer Hathaway 35:11
Some.

Rich Bennett 35:11
What's the other one? I just saw? They had a vent there, so is dairy.

Tyler Zeisloft 35:15
I'm not sure.

Rich Bennett 35:17
Which is across from water's edge. Got across the train tracks, but somebody just had a vent there. I didn't even knew somebody was living in there, so. Mm. And the other one which the house by

the mill thing. Rock run. Oh yeah. Is it the Archer House.

Derek Pentz 35:36
I think so. Is there the mill right there at this place.

Rich Bennett 35:40
Yeah. Okay. Which have you ever been in that house.

Derek Pentz 35:43
All around.

Rich Bennett 35:43
While that it's. Where is it. Rock. Right.

Derek Pentz 35:48
I think so.

Rich Bennett 35:49
So the it's I guess with Dr. Archer on the house up there as well is huge.

Jennifer Hathaway 35:57
Part of is it near have it increase.

Alicia Hamilton 35:59
Yeah.

Derek Pentz 36:00
It's like between half degrees and like kind of one go.

Alicia Hamilton 36:02
Okay.

Jennifer Hathaway 36:03
Okay. There's Also a lot of families that have been here a long time that have have like farmlands day operating like.

Rich Bennett 36:12
Like.

Jennifer Hathaway 36:13
Lord Yeah. HOPKINS Yes, I know. I don't know if they still have anything operational, but falling.

Tyler Zeisloft 36:21
Branch Um, that's Northern Hartford County, the following branch, the 100 years old, obviously not that old, but the, the falling branch, the farm itself just celebrated its 100th birthday.

Jennifer Hathaway 36:33
Well, you know, they, they removed the branch right.

Alicia Hamilton 36:36
Yeah. Oh Disney movie. Yeah. They, they moved that big thing. Okay. Yeah. Oh I thought you said now it's Kilgore Kilgore fall when.

Tyler Zeisloft 36:45
You said that though, I'm like, wait, so it's just.

Alicia Hamilton 36:47
Falling, right? That's not that bad. The same thing too. I was like, Oh, I'm sorry. They removed the.

Tyler Zeisloft 36:55
Branch. It's just falling.

Alicia Hamilton 36:57
You're going to falling right.

Rich Bennett 36:59
Out of the branch fell, right?

Derek Pentz 37:01
And we make another one fall right there or they move, I think.

Jennifer Hathaway 37:05
I think, Oh yeah. The whole thing.

Alicia Hamilton 37:09
Yeah. When they got.

Jennifer Hathaway 37:10
Movie they removed it.

Tyler Zeisloft 37:12
Took it and.

Alicia Hamilton 37:13
Put it back. In my opinion, it's like a little bit of.

Rich Bennett 37:15
They took the tree away after they finished filming the movie.

Alicia Hamilton 37:19
The whole Yeah. It's just and.

Jennifer Hathaway 37:22
There was like there was like a tree or whatever they called it falling branch.

Alicia Hamilton 37:27
Of the tree that had. Yeah.

Rich Bennett 37:32
Oh yes of course that was a series. Was, is there a movie, another movie filmed here that.

Tyler Zeisloft 37:38
There's a.

Rich Bennett 37:39
Couple.

Derek Pentz 37:39
Oh I it like a horror movie.

Tyler Zeisloft 37:41
Well Tuck Everlasting was the house of cards and.

Alicia Hamilton 37:45
Yeah.

Derek Pentz 37:46
No that was in that that was in.

Jennifer Hathaway 37:49
Pasadena so there was another one.

Derek Pentz 37:51
There was.

Tyler Zeisloft 37:52
So the Blair Witch Project was it was Burke. Blair Witch two had the sequel, had some very little in Hartford, but off of like Mount Carmel.

Rich Bennett 38:05
Road and Baltimore.

Alicia Hamilton 38:05
Okay, okay. Oh, okay. Plug. That's right.

Tyler Zeisloft 38:10
I was a day player, teenager number one in the credits and I still get that mailbox money.

Alicia Hamilton 38:16
Yeah, it is.

Tyler Zeisloft 38:19
It is, but I'm not available.

Alicia Hamilton 38:21
I that.

Tyler Zeisloft 38:23
That's why. Yeah but I was I know I was I was 18 I went to Baltimore school for the Arts for high school and had to audition from that. And I had two lines, but they didn't make the cutting room floor. And I've been riding that wave.

Alicia Hamilton 38:39
With that and I. Can we find it online? Oh, yeah. Yeah.

Rich Bennett 38:45
Oh, what was it?

Tyler Zeisloft 38:47
Blair Witch two Oh.

Derek Pentz 38:49
Was it like a Book of Secrets or something?

Tyler Zeisloft 38:50
Yeah, but there's also there was also. What's the movie with Julia Roberts?

Jennifer Hathaway 38:56
The runaway Bride.

Tyler Zeisloft 38:57
Runaway Bride was filmed here.

Alicia Hamilton 38:59
Yeah. Oh, really? Amongst in other.

Jennifer Hathaway 39:02
Parts.

Tyler Zeisloft 39:02
Of it. Yeah. Northern half.

Jennifer Hathaway 39:04
That was in Harford Road.

Alicia Hamilton 39:06
Yeah.

Tyler Zeisloft 39:08
And then wasn't part with the Holly Hunter uh, Hunter movie. was like home for the holidays or something like that. I think it was filmed in Hartford County.

Jennifer Hathaway 39:19
Okay. No, I didn't know that one. Mm. Well, Sleepless in Seattle, we know it's Baltimore, but.

Tyler Zeisloft 39:23
Yeah, right. Because. Oh.

Jennifer Hathaway 39:26
Yeah, Sleepless in Seattle with Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks.

Alicia Hamilton 39:29
Oh, no.

Rich Bennett 39:29
It wasn't filmed in Seattle.

Tyler Zeisloft 39:31
Well.

Alicia Hamilton 39:31
I've heard of it. Why haven't you seen it? But had a long time ago. Baltimore Girl. It's an article.

Tyler Zeisloft 39:37
That Tom Hanks in Seattle.

Rich Bennett 39:39
Reads. Oh, okay.

Tyler Zeisloft 39:40
And it's a what do you call it, a classified ad or, you know, that's it.

Alicia Hamilton 39:46
Sincerely, Sleepless in Seattle, right? Oh.

Rich Bennett 39:48
Okay.

Alicia Hamilton 39:49
And like, Oh, right. Like getting a real.

Jennifer Hathaway 39:52
Connection to him and, like, went out to Seattle to, like, stalk him. And we think about kind of like crazy, crazy town.

Alicia Hamilton 39:59
You know? Oh, let's see, Ben.

Jennifer Hathaway 40:01
I know. You know, it's like they meet on the Empire State Building and anyway.

Tyler Zeisloft 40:07
Yeah, yeah.

Jennifer Hathaway 40:08
But she's a Baltimore girl. If we don't already have one for her for county living, we need to have a roundup of now all of the haunted locations so Julia can stay away from them.

Alicia Hamilton 40:17
And everybody else. I was like, I got.

Jennifer Hathaway 40:19
A list of where a movie where movies have been filmed in Hartford.

Alicia Hamilton 40:24
Mostly. Okay.

Jennifer Hathaway 40:27
Keep going. I'll make it. We're going to have one of these wineries. We have a number of wineries here, and I know there's like, Well, the one that happened.

Rich Bennett 40:37
Yes. Hartford.

Tyler Zeisloft 40:38
Mount Felix.

Alicia Hamilton 40:39
Well, Felix Fiore. Yeah.

Tyler Zeisloft 40:42
I mean, for I mean there's Hartford Wine, a.

Rich Bennett 40:44
Winery right.

Tyler Zeisloft 40:47
There, um, is Baltimore County. But it is literally like just the same with the zombies. Yeah, it is.

Rich Bennett 40:55
Each other.

Tyler Zeisloft 40:56
Right over there. And there's.

Rich Bennett 40:58
Now.

Tyler Zeisloft 40:59
Felix Hold on. It's something about. Hold on.

Rich Bennett 41:02
Oh, there's this.

Jennifer Hathaway 41:05
Come on.

Alicia Hamilton 41:05
Visit Hartford. You know.

Tyler Zeisloft 41:08
So we named the Hartford County ones because technically, there's only three, but there is, like, a wine trade, like a wine trail that we have allowed, like some Baltimore County that are, like, so close to come in this. You're going.

Rich Bennett 41:22
To be there, you know, for.

Tyler Zeisloft 41:25
I work.

Jennifer Hathaway 41:28
She knows everything.

Rich Bennett 41:30
I mean well, I know there's a lot of yeah we just one word just shut then didn't he. The one in Delaware.

Tyler Zeisloft 41:35
Oh yes.

Alicia Hamilton 41:36
That was.

Jennifer Hathaway 41:37
A part of Alison.

Alicia Hamilton 41:39
Craft. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Tyler Zeisloft 41:42
Yeah, yeah. God I forgot about do.

Rich Bennett 41:45
Mm.

Alicia Hamilton 41:45
Well I know that was the Hartford. Yeah, I.

Jennifer Hathaway 41:49
Remember.

Rich Bennett 41:50
That was.

Alicia Hamilton 41:51
Yeah.

Rich Bennett 41:52
And now you're starting to see the wineries making like gin and all.

Alicia Hamilton 41:56
Oh, okay. Yeah.

Tyler Zeisloft 41:57
Yeah. Well a lot of them, they'll do winery and distillery now. Yeah.

Rich Bennett 42:01
Can't do bourbon, but you know, moonshine because.

Tyler Zeisloft 42:03
Because it's not Kentucky, right?

Rich Bennett 42:05
That's right. That's right. Barbecue. No, you may be talking.

Tyler Zeisloft 42:09
The rest of it's all whiskey or trash.

Alicia Hamilton 42:12
Yeah, I know. That's a really good moon

hot apple.

Derek Pentz 42:17
It's called Applejack.

Well, I know. And my family.

Alicia Hamilton 42:22
Then.

Derek Pentz 42:23
They're like Appalachian.

Jennifer Hathaway 42:24
So it might have. Is does it have it's like a you know.

Derek Pentz 42:28
Yeah. And then you put well I know when you make moonshine you put it jars and then you put like you slice of an apple and put in like two cinnamon sticks and it didn't let it sit like that.

Jennifer Hathaway 42:36
It had a good flavor. Well.

Rich Bennett 42:37
All right, this is kind moonshine you bought in the store, though.

Jennifer Hathaway 42:40
Yeah No, I bought it from it.

Rich Bennett 42:42
Oh.

Jennifer Hathaway 42:43
I think it was in Davis.

Rich Bennett 42:45
All right. You bought it legally, as my point. It wasn't from somebody.

Jennifer Hathaway 42:49
Or how long have had it? You know where it.

Rich Bennett 42:53
Oh, yeah, that's like. You guessed it. Oh, I love it.

Derek Pentz 42:56
That's why I like it. I mean.

Alicia Hamilton 42:59
Oh, yeah. And I. How about me?

Rich Bennett 43:02
Yeah I n i, I do want to try to gin that I think how portrait winery makes, I do want to try that and I got to get to all the breweries. I've only been to two breweries here and half a gal I know.

Alicia Hamilton 43:16
Which ones

Rich Bennett 43:18
Independent.

Jennifer Hathaway 43:19
Okay that's.

Alicia Hamilton 43:20
Go.

Rich Bennett 43:20
And Oh my God. Heavy rain.

Jennifer Hathaway 43:24
Hopkins.

Rich Bennett 43:24
No, not Hopkins

Market Street. No, the other one.

Tyler Zeisloft 43:29
There's only one more. It's by a kitchen.

Rich Bennett 43:32
Oh yeah, Yeah. It's called the Veterans Veteran. Oh, my God.

Jennifer Hathaway 43:39
Every time I go to first Friday, I always them outside. But I've got my kids.

Rich Bennett 43:43
I can't.

Jennifer Hathaway 43:43
Believe I.

Rich Bennett 43:44
Forgot the.

Jennifer Hathaway 43:44
Nation's.

Rich Bennett 43:46
Battery.

Derek Pentz 43:46
On. That's it.

Alicia Hamilton 43:48
Man. Oh.

Rich Bennett 43:49
They got. They got knocked off. Yeah. Yeah. Thank God they're not a sponsor right.

Alicia Hamilton 43:54
Now

like.

Tyler Zeisloft 43:56
That. Could you imagine

that would.

Rich Bennett 44:00
Wow.

Jennifer Hathaway 44:01
They should be.

Rich Bennett 44:02
Telling you you're not allowed to answer this. Do you guys know how many parks are? And half really.

Jennifer Hathaway 44:09
Like parks and rec parks.

Alicia Hamilton 44:10
Or parks?

Derek Pentz 44:12
Like, there's probably a lot.

Jennifer Hathaway 44:13
Is it over 25? 25? There's definitely there's tons of.

Tyler Zeisloft 44:18
I don't know. We're in the woods. I don't get reception.

Rich Bennett 44:20
Oh, I think it was like.

Alicia Hamilton 44:22
Yeah, I think it was like 31.

Tyler Zeisloft 44:24
Yeah, it's, it's a lot.

Alicia Hamilton 44:27
There's a.

Rich Bennett 44:28
Lot.

Jennifer Hathaway 44:28
Is that including like the rec councils because they call them Parks and rec but like a park.

Alicia Hamilton 44:33
Well they have their like for.

Jennifer Hathaway 44:34
Me, like Roxy Park's.

Rich Bennett 44:36
Roxy Park is technically a state park. Yeah. Yes, I county.

Derek Pentz 44:40
Yeah.

Alicia Hamilton 44:41
Oh, okay.

Jennifer Hathaway 44:41
But it's in Norfolk County. I mean they're that out there because it's I think it's a joke. So what's a.

Alicia Hamilton 44:45
County.

Rich Bennett 44:45
Like County.

Alicia Hamilton 44:46
Park.

Rich Bennett 44:48
Oh, Swan Harbor Company where we're going to have one road. Yeah. And then some of the I would have thought of there's got a couple.

Alicia Hamilton 44:59
Oh so yeah, yeah.

Rich Bennett 45:01
Even though it's rare you see like this park.

Jennifer Hathaway 45:04
Have you been there for a little walk that's in Darlington.

Alicia Hamilton 45:07
Yeah.

Jennifer Hathaway 45:08
Across the street from an elementary school.

Rich Bennett 45:09
It didn't have a great size. Two or three, maybe even more. Yeah, because some of them are just like little parking areas. Like, was it David secret Craig or David Craig Park? I think it's a parking lot next to the.

Derek Pentz 45:22
Well now it's only like a wetland reclamation, but they're going to be now moving the new Amtrak bridge over where they build the new Amtrak bridge. And it's basically gone right through the park.

Rich Bennett 45:33
Really? Yeah. Wow. All right, good. Shut up.

Alicia Hamilton 45:41
Uh.

Rich Bennett 45:42
Are they building up too much here in Norfolk?

Jennifer Hathaway 45:44
Yes.

Derek Pentz 45:46
I mean, yes, But at the same time, like, know, I don't like I feel like I don't know if people are moving here. There. It's like it kind of reminds me now of Howard County in a way. You know, Columbia got built up and like, you know, my sister lives down there, so I'm not familiar with that. I feel like Bel Air is becoming, like, very similar.

Jennifer Hathaway 46:03
The answer is really is the roads, the schools, the hospitals. Mhm. Like it's if you if those three things can't handle the infrastructure. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. There's your answer. And they just.

Derek Pentz 46:17
Closed the Harvard Hospital cafeteria so like I don't want to go there goes on but I know that.

Rich Bennett 46:22
Well. Well yeah. And the Aberdeen one which is nice but it's not a full hospital right.

Alicia Hamilton 46:28
Now, you know.

Jennifer Hathaway 46:29
It's a doctor's offices.

Alicia Hamilton 46:31
Yeah. And, uh, one of my.

Jennifer Hathaway 46:32
Practices, I.

Alicia Hamilton 46:34
Mean.

Tyler Zeisloft 46:34
It's still, it's still a part of Upper Chesapeake Medical Center, but it's like, I.

Derek Pentz 46:41
Don't think they have an emergency room or not, but I, they they have, like, an urgent care.

Rich Bennett 46:44
Well, that's the University of Maryland, and I think that's our health. Have bought quite a lot of the urgent care is around here and even open so the I guess stop the traffic going into it because people are going into the emergency rooms for like splinters and all.

Alicia Hamilton 46:59
Of that.

Jennifer Hathaway 47:00
And a lot of mental health to which the.

Rich Bennett 47:02
Oh, you have course.

Jennifer Hathaway 47:03
Center has helped with that. Yes but I mean the emergency room times are still.

Rich Bennett 47:08
Off the charts.

Jennifer Hathaway 47:09
Outrageous. Yeah it's a big problem. And if they don't have the capacity to, you know, accommodate all of these patients in the county, I mean, that's dangerous.

Derek Pentz 47:21
And 95 to Riverside is a nightmare, right? Like any more like traffic wise. Like it's that Yeah. That's suffer I'm like this is annoying like.

Tyler Zeisloft 47:31
I think you can give a fast answer of you know like it like it or not your question was is it being built up too much? And I mean it used to take like I would say like in the, in 1990, um, it would take 15 minutes to get from Box Hill Square to Hartford Mall.

Rich Bennett 47:54
Yeah.

Tyler Zeisloft 47:55
Now it takes 30 minutes.

Alicia Hamilton 47:58
Right.

Tyler Zeisloft 47:58
So it and there's more road. Yeah. So why is that Right. There's so much.

Jennifer Hathaway 48:03
You might have had 23 to 25 kids in a class and now they're pushing 33 kids in a class, you know, And some of those higher the more populated districts.

Rich Bennett 48:14
Um, but now want to put a spin on that question because they are building on big time. And I remember seeing an article in one of the newspapers, several years ago about how Harford County has got the change, the name of the Harford City, because we there have been all the people are moving here. What's attracting the people to Harford County.

Jennifer Hathaway 48:34
Lower.

Julia Chang 48:34
Housing costs? I'm from Northern Virginia, so.

Alicia Hamilton 48:37
Oh.

Julia Chang 48:37
You know, this is like affordable, though. It's creeping up. It's creeping up fast. And I am like, I've been here the least amount of time because I like the charm of Harford County and the small town feel. So I, I don't like the way it's changing. Is it inevitable? Maybe, but it's affecting a lot. Like I'm trying to get doctor's appointments for my kids for various things. Are You accepting new patients? Yeah, but not until December.

Alicia Hamilton 49:05
Are you kidding me? That's.

Jennifer Hathaway 49:07
That's a crazy town. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. So, I'm sorry.

Julia Chang 49:13
No, no, that. That's. It's like there's such a trickle down effect that I don't know that, you know, the builders and everyone sees. It's not just, you know, things are going up real fast. Where I live, I live by the rink and there's, you know, by Taco Bell, you know, kind of window. You know, there's all those. And it's expensive. You know, if it's like a two bedroom, it's 2000.

Jennifer Hathaway 49:35
3000 for a two bedroom.

Alicia Hamilton 49:37
Well, that's the thing that.

Derek Pentz 49:38
I don't like is it seems like they keep building luxury. And I'm like, what about, like, more affordable stuff?

Alicia Hamilton 49:44
Well, and like.

Tyler Zeisloft 49:45
I guess but I guess to to Richard's point, also, what makes because Cecil County is cheaper than Harford County So if you're coming from Northern Virginia to move to this area, why not just drive another 20 minutes and not spend 700?

Rich Bennett 50:00
But there's something that attracting people to Harford Canning besides that.

Jennifer Hathaway 50:03
I think it was that suburbs kind of feel. But as soon if that starts to diminish, then a lot of people that wanted that will start to go north to see some.

Derek Pentz 50:12
And I think they already.

Jennifer Hathaway 50:13
The bridges the day I'm like how those are the two.

Alicia Hamilton 50:16
Yeah.

Jennifer Hathaway 50:16
Three popular access.

Tyler Zeisloft 50:20
Yeah. And you also have a lot of people that work in the DC Baltimore metro area and so they don't will use Baltimore as the sweet spot. But if you are someone who works in the city and you make a great salary but you don't like living in the city, that's why people go Owings Mills, Hunt Valley, Bel Air, and here, you know.

Derek Pentz 50:44
I like the word Baltimore.

Jennifer Hathaway 50:47
Right? Yeah, Super, super easy. Yeah. It's it's I'm in the middle of like, um, you know, DC Virginia.

Alicia Hamilton 50:55
Filling out.

Jennifer Hathaway 50:56
The. You work. Yeah. You just take a train two and a half to New York City. Yeah. So, so many great cities. But then you think about also, we're only a few hours either direction due to the mountains. Yeah, I mean, really, it's just so great. Yes.

Julia Chang 51:11
And for families, right. Because that's, you know, I have three kids, young kids. There's Hershey Park. There's I mean, great Wolf, the new great Wolf Lodge. You go to Wonderland, you have there's more.

Jennifer Hathaway 51:22
Necessity.

Julia Chang 51:23
Place. There's tons.

Alicia Hamilton 51:25
In New.

Tyler Zeisloft 51:26
Jersey.

Rich Bennett 51:27
Oh.

Julia Chang 51:28
Really? Not necessarily in her county, you know.

Alicia Hamilton 51:30
But it's.

Rich Bennett 51:31
But not that.

Alicia Hamilton 51:32
Yeah, that's right.

Tyler Zeisloft 51:33
Well, I always say to a lot of people when we talk about Harford County, imagine living in Iowa just to pick one.

Alicia Hamilton 51:44
Right.

Jennifer Hathaway 51:46
You really.

Alicia Hamilton 51:47
Say that.

Tyler Zeisloft 51:48
It's just that we're in 100 countries.

Alicia Hamilton 51:50
Yeah.

Tyler Zeisloft 51:51
So imagine pick a different one, right? The big Colorado, whatever they.

Rich Bennett 51:57
That's a state.

Tyler Zeisloft 51:59
I know.

Rich Bennett 52:00
Okay. So it's.

Alicia Hamilton 52:01
Not like where he's trying to make a point.

Tyler Zeisloft 52:05
Right? So here in Harford County, we get all those things. Yeah, we can go to Broadway, we can go get a true Philly cheesesteak, we can go see the White House, we can go to the beach and we can go to the mountains. If you live.

Alicia Hamilton 52:23
In.

Tyler Zeisloft 52:23
Iowa, Yeah. You may never got to see any of those things ever in your life. Yeah. So we're very spoiled.

Jennifer Hathaway 52:32
For, like.

Alicia Hamilton 52:32
Five.

Jennifer Hathaway 52:34
People Never left Missouri. Yeah, that shocked that I met people who never left the state of Missouri. I'm like, really? See Louis and is in Missouri as well as Illinois, Right. Telling me you never went to Saint Louis in Illinois. It's right there. Like, you know, you cross the bridge and you're I did that blew my mind that there are people that have never left their hometown. They've never left their state that just, I don't know in itself blows my mind.

Alicia Hamilton 53:04
But there are people like.

Derek Pentz 53:06
That that live here.

Alicia Hamilton 53:08
Yeah.

Derek Pentz 53:08
They they love Maryland, too. Like Delaware, Pennsylvania. But like. Oh, they've never left this general area.

Tyler Zeisloft 53:15
Well, if you talk.

Alicia Hamilton 53:16
Yeah there's a lot of.

Tyler Zeisloft 53:17
If you were to ask somebody and this is not specific to this town that I'm about to say, but I've heard it come from this town have it. If you were to ask a person if they want to go to Whitemarsh Mall, they'd be like, Are we getting a hotel room? Yeah. I'm like, Oh, it's 30.

Alicia Hamilton 53:34
Miles down the road. My dad. It's okay.

Tyler Zeisloft 53:37
Yeah, but that's on 95. I'm like, That's true.

Jennifer Hathaway 53:42
I'll go north to Delaware versus I'll go to Christiana. Right, going down towards the bottom. But I will say one comforting thing about living in this area is all of we have world renowned hospitals hospitals like we're so close to Hopkins. There's something very commercial about that, very comforting. What St Jude and the other hospital that's in Delaware?

Tyler Zeisloft 54:05
Christiana Oh, DuPont.

Jennifer Hathaway 54:07
DuPont, Yeah. It's like there's so many hospital.

Alicia Hamilton 54:10
Yeah.

Jennifer Hathaway 54:11
People travel here from all over to and we're really lucky to have those places so close.

Alicia Hamilton 54:18
Mhm.

Jennifer Hathaway 54:19
Hopefully you never need them.

Tyler Zeisloft 54:20
Right. But I mean it's, I mean and even even Sheppard Pratt being here, Father Martins actually rehabilitates celebrities who have come for rehabilitation and Father Martins actually never any grace. Chris Farley was came there for an intervention. A few. Yeah. Linda Wonder Woman.

Rich Bennett 54:41
Lynda Carter.

Tyler Zeisloft 54:42
Lynda Carter she was there.

Derek Pentz 54:43
I felt rumors. Elizabeth Taylor too, probably.

Tyler Zeisloft 54:46
Yeah. But it's just it's a very we're here to your point, we're very blessed to have all of this stuff around us.

Jennifer Hathaway 54:53
On the on the building up thing. I just want to mention that, like, I think this has been labeled Harford County is one of the fastest growing or best places to live. Have you guys seen these in the minds? Yeah, but I think my aesthetically, aside from schools and hospitals and that sort of thing, it's too many mature trees being torn down. And that was one of the things like driving through Columbia or at least the parts I'm familiar with. It was, a very it's a densely populated area, but you kind of can't tell because there's so many trees there. And that's that's the thing that kind of kills me is like you drive down 24 and I'm like, just leave the building around and do something. Yeah, yeah. It's too many. Too many.

Rich Bennett 55:33
It should be the if you, if you it even for the contractors. I feel that if you tear down so many trees, you have to replace them.

Alicia Hamilton 55:42
There's so many trees. Yeah.

Tyler Zeisloft 55:44
I don't know if you've heard of the Lorax.

Alicia Hamilton 55:46
Yes.

Rich Bennett 55:47
You told Dr. Seuss.

Tyler Zeisloft 55:49
Yeah. He speaks for the trees. It's a great lesson. I mean, I guess I'm being silly for the sake of podcast, but it's a great lesson.

Alicia Hamilton 55:57
That's true.

Rich Bennett 55:57
Yeah, but it should be done. Because, I mean, you're also seeing I mean, thank God they're starting to protect the wetlands better know because Harford County, when it comes to the trees I know the faster branch part part. I just had a really interesting year when they purchased that area. They there's an area where they said there were so many different species of trees. That's one of the reasons they went in. And it's that and it's on a fault line. Yeah. And you know, there's a fault line going through here. What are the other things I like to Point Park There's been over 152 different species of birds photograph there, right? You look at the wildlife in Harford County.

Alicia Hamilton 56:43
Yeah. Some of them go down.

Jennifer Hathaway 56:45
People come from all over.

Alicia Hamilton 56:47
I mean but.

Rich Bennett 56:49
The results are suggest.

Alicia Hamilton 56:50
There.

Rich Bennett 56:51
Seems.

Alicia Hamilton 56:52
To be.

Jennifer Hathaway 56:55
A rebound out of.

Alicia Hamilton 56:56
Your right. They got.

Tyler Zeisloft 56:56
No effects t.

Alicia Hamilton 56:57
Shades. Yeah I dark.

Derek Pentz 56:59
Hair. There's like white.

Alicia Hamilton 57:02
Hair.

I'm not bald.

Rich Bennett 57:05
One of the things that cracks me up when people visit, they're like, Oh, man, look about it. I was like, Really? Don't you see it?

Jennifer Hathaway 57:11
Yeah.

Alicia Hamilton 57:11
I see a whole.

Jennifer Hathaway 57:13
And all the different squirrels that we have in this area.

Rich Bennett 57:16
And I still had not seen a white squirrel yet.

Alicia Hamilton 57:19
Oh, I love squirrels.

Rich Bennett 57:21
Oh, we have black squirrels here. We have the green squirrels in the woods. I guess the red ones. Somebody said they have seen a white squirrel. I've never seen it.

Derek Pentz 57:29
How? It's all over the place. White squirrels really round it. Mostly white and gray and white one.

Jennifer Hathaway 57:36
When I saw a picture of somebody who saw a white deer, like all white.

Derek Pentz 57:41
Deer, oh, there I'm. I'm APG a lot.

Jennifer Hathaway 57:43
Oh, okay.

Alicia Hamilton 57:45
Yeah.

Rich Bennett 57:46
Yeah. The funny thing is well, with the animals though. Well, you're different because you live on the farm.

Jennifer Hathaway 57:53
Well, I don't live.

Rich Bennett 57:54
In the country area or whatever, but you like where I live. The animals. It's hard to get animals to come up. Get out of your hand. You go down there, point, park the squirrels come up, they'll take peanuts out of your hand. Birds will land in your hand and start eating the food I haven't got.

Jennifer Hathaway 58:11
That's all those morning walkers. They. Oh yeah. They leave it on the, the fence.

Rich Bennett 58:15
Oh but it's, I mean when I had the Carolina ring come and sit in my hands, made my free candy, that's Isaac Dell.

Jennifer Hathaway 58:23
I only have a little one acre property in Boston often on Harford Road and I have all kinds of like literally in one day I'll see groundhogs, squirrels, rabbits, skinks, snakes, you know, of how old mice around. And it's just this tiny little, you know, pot with a bunch other houses around it.

Rich Bennett 58:42
You ever know groundhogs will do damage?

Jennifer Hathaway 58:44
Oh, and now he's I was so.

Alicia Hamilton 58:46
Happy to say the day I thought he was dead.

Jennifer Hathaway 58:50
I haven't seen him since last year. And I'm like, oh, man, he got here. You know.

Alicia Hamilton 58:54
Normally I'd say by now.

Jennifer Hathaway 58:56
But he's made his home underneath my shed. And I saw him the other day and, um, the dog, God bless her, she's. She's not here anymore, But she saw him outside one time and she went walking over and, you know, they can't go too fast and they had their little encounter.

Alicia Hamilton 59:14
On.

Jennifer Hathaway 59:14
Their underground springs.

Rich Bennett 59:16
Oh, yeah.

Jennifer Hathaway 59:17
Okay. Oh, really? Where? Yeah. Well, isn't there a there used to be. I don't know if it's still there, but a house on Morris Mill Road that I'm pretty sure had like a glass floor like a part of it.

Alicia Hamilton 59:29
Oh really.

Jennifer Hathaway 59:29
See the springs running through it. Oh I think don't quote me, but.

Rich Bennett 59:35
I mean.

Tyler Zeisloft 59:35
These are like.

Alicia Hamilton 59:37
I know. Well I'm out there now. They're knocking on.

Jennifer Hathaway 59:40
Doors, you know.

Alicia Hamilton 59:43
The game.

Jennifer Hathaway 59:43
Of.

Alicia Hamilton 59:43
Telephone, right? Yeah.

Tyler Zeisloft 59:45
Yeah. So by the time it gets to you, it's been.

Jennifer Hathaway 59:47
That's what I've heard, right?

Alicia Hamilton 59:48
Oh, there's no hope.

Jennifer Hathaway 59:49
Their house is still there.

Alicia Hamilton 59:50
But I don't.

Rich Bennett 59:50
Know about that house. I know there's a lot of wonderful water springs.

Alicia Hamilton 59:53
Yeah.

Jennifer Hathaway 59:54
Yeah. There's just so many great nature spots. And I've.

Derek Pentz 59:57
Got Angry.

Alicia Hamilton 59:58
Birds. Mm.

Jennifer Hathaway 59:59
I have. Yeah.

Derek Pentz 1:00:00
I love the graveyards.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:00:01
Yeah. Let's get back to this.

Alicia Hamilton 1:00:03
Yeah, well, yeah, that's.

Rich Bennett 1:00:05
One of the things I love with the graveyards, is looking at the tombstones. Now my brother in law you met long before he's actually doing a thing where he's going to all these cemeteries and the old tombstones. You can't read any more. He's, I guess, getting them replaced.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:00:24
Or there's someone who cleans them.

Rich Bennett 1:00:26
Yeah. Yeah, that's true. Well, I think.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:00:29
There's a.

Rich Bennett 1:00:30
Sean Hinton. Sean Hinton. Just the one from abortion.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:00:34
I haven't seen that, but. Or mine. That sounds like something that he would do, which helps another trend that's going around. Have you heard of the it's called graveyard babies that are maternity. Anybody who's expecting a child is going around, they they go through the graveyards and it helps them come up with names.

Alicia Hamilton 1:00:50
Oh.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:00:50
I know.

Alicia Hamilton 1:00:52
Oh.

Rich Bennett 1:00:53
I thought you told me that. I thought you were going to say they're giving birth on the grave.

Alicia Hamilton 1:00:56
Your first.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:00:58
Right. I was like when I got to learn more about this. And. Yeah, so it's a.

Rich Bennett 1:01:02
Really good idea.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:01:04
Mm. Yeah, Yeah. They're just going around and looking at the headstones, so having them like Amazon would have a book tour.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:01:11
But they just keep going back to Aiden and.

Alicia Hamilton 1:01:13
Braydon, right, No matter.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:01:14
How many tombstones they.

Alicia Hamilton 1:01:16
Have.

Rich Bennett 1:01:17
How did your parish name you Al wishes right now.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:01:20
The graves should get going.

Alicia Hamilton 1:01:22
Yeah, me too. I had no family relation.

It's all.

Rich Bennett 1:01:28
In the.

Alicia Hamilton 1:01:28
Cemetery.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:01:29
It's somebody's grandmother.

Derek Pentz 1:01:31
There's a graveyard That's like the best graveyard I found is a Novi Drag character's name out of the blue. Like, there's. There's, like, weird synchronicities with that graveyard I have. But that was, like, the most recent one where I was just looking and I was like, No, but that's not like a common name. And it was like that. And there's nothing else you can read on except the name. And it's like 100.

Rich Bennett 1:01:53
That's a graveyard. It has the captain hanging, right? Yes. Doing that, hanging from a tree. It's like there's his gravesite, the casket does not hit the ground. It's like it's hanging within the tomb or whatever. Oh, yeah. Right. Yeah. That's a good name in that.

Derek Pentz 1:02:11
That's a very high.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:02:14
St Mary's Church in Abington. Before you get to the festival, that's got really cool. Very old graves in it because the church itself is so old. Yeah, it's not like a whole, like big cemetery, memorial gardens type of thing, but they're all around there.

Alicia Hamilton 1:02:28
That's a pretty.

Rich Bennett 1:02:29
Section. We only have one memorial cemetery built there.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:02:34
Yeah. Yeah. So on it.

Alicia Hamilton 1:02:37
Yeah. Mm.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:02:39
I'll die now, but then Memorial Gardens. Okay.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:02:43
Oh, right.

Alicia Hamilton 1:02:43
But They're not like.

Derek Pentz 1:02:45
I got to. They love the new graveyards and all the things are flat. And I'm like, I want the old school, like Tombstone, and I want it kind of, like spooky and gothic.

Rich Bennett 1:02:52
Looking, right? Yeah.

Derek Pentz 1:02:53
You know, like the graveyard has the one it does want to have your. It has, like.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:02:59
What's the one on the top of the hill?

Derek Pentz 1:03:01
Angel Hill Cemetery. Yes.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:03:02
Every house of cards was. Yeah. Kind of seen film there so because That's right. Where 155 And what's that junior out of mean.

Alicia Hamilton 1:03:10
Yeah. Oh right.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:03:11
So it's a there's the Royal Farms on Route 40. Yeah.

Derek Pentz 1:03:15
And it's like two parts and there's like a pizza.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:03:17
Pizza Hut Royal Farms and the road goes through. Yeah.

Alicia Hamilton 1:03:20
It's right there. Oh great.

Derek Pentz 1:03:21
Because I grew up literally like two blocks up there.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:03:24
Yeah, but there's some house of cards. Oh, yeah. That are built there.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:03:28
So a lot of mausoleums growing up. Do we want to clean house of cards any more with Kevin?

Tyler Zeisloft 1:03:34
So I've heard it.

Rich Bennett 1:03:35
Was a hit or not.

Alicia Hamilton 1:03:36
I mean, I know.

Derek Pentz 1:03:39
However, Snakes on.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:03:40
It was an amazing show.

Alicia Hamilton 1:03:42
Yeah, I've.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:03:43
Never seen it.

Rich Bennett 1:03:43
I've never seen that. But I did love the movie he did about Bobby Darin.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:03:47
Oh, yeah. I don't know if I.

Rich Bennett 1:03:49
Oh, I forget that.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:03:50
Well, he's a great actor.

Rich Bennett 1:03:51
He's a singer too. Yeah.

Derek Pentz 1:03:53
Yeah. So great actors, you know, they got to take it to.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:03:56
My my psychologist said it says he said it for a multitude of reasons, but he said even Adolf Hitler wanted a little old lady across the street wants.

Alicia Hamilton 1:04:04
And.

Derek Pentz 1:04:05
Totally I mean totally.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:04:07
Yeah yeah they might be they might show their nice side, but that might not be who they are. Oh, yeah.

Rich Bennett 1:04:14
Ah, who had the mustache first? Was it Hitler, Charlie Chaplin or Oliver Hardy? We were talking about this last night. I think it was Charlie Chaplin because everybody said the Hitler mustache. I think Charlie Chaplin had it first. He wore better.

Alicia Hamilton 1:04:28
For Hitler.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:04:29
But it wasn't color that he.

Rich Bennett 1:04:31
Well, yeah.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:04:33
Even Charlie Chaplin has a dark side. Like, apparently he was like pedophile, married, like girls in their teens and.

Alicia Hamilton 1:04:40
You know, Hitler, Hollywood, the dark. Yeah, but I mean, look.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:04:44
At look at all of these big people. I mean, this is a different podcast, too.

Alicia Hamilton 1:04:47
Yeah, But I mean, he's.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:04:49
Getting tired.

Alicia Hamilton 1:04:49
Of getting that straight. I'm sorry. Right?

Tyler Zeisloft 1:04:53
But I mean, you look at Elvis. I mean, you can look at Steven Tyler got, you know, there's all of these.

Alicia Hamilton 1:05:00
Celebrities.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:05:01
We have like couple podcast.

Alicia Hamilton 1:05:03
Ideas, I think. Yeah.

Rich Bennett 1:05:05
Even everybody sitting here, everybody's got a dark side. Just just like with the evil people, they all have a good side. You and I've talked about this commercial. It's like there's something good about everybody.

Alicia Hamilton 1:05:17
Yeah. Oh, yeah, yeah, you can.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:05:18
In without the yang it, you know you have to have the good in the right.

Alicia Hamilton 1:05:22
Yeah. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah.

Rich Bennett 1:05:24
Because they're from evil.

Alicia Hamilton 1:05:25
So yeah we're all, we're all in for a highlight.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:05:29
The darkness more than the light right. Yeah. They, they chose to walk that path of darkness. Yeah. Pretty sure I feel good. Everybody at this table is walking the light path. You know? But, yeah, some people choose that dark path and.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:05:42
Well, the hardest. The hardest part is finding out if that good feeling is good for you by my psychologist also used to say, you know, it's like sarcasm, for example, might feel good to bring somebody down with that witty snap off that you just gave. But is it good for you?

Alicia Hamilton 1:05:59
Yeah.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:06:00
Yeah. Might feel good at that moment.

Alicia Hamilton 1:06:02
Yeah.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:06:03
I left.

Alicia Hamilton 1:06:04
That up. I had that. But it's a good know.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:06:08
Drew, because they just start walking around like ready to throw that shade on. But it does feel good. Yeah, I gave.

Alicia Hamilton 1:06:16
It.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:06:17
To her for a two part question. Are there any famous people from Hartford County?

Alicia Hamilton 1:06:22
Yes. Yes, I.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:06:26
Are there any, like, major criminals?

Alicia Hamilton 1:06:29
Yes. Yes. Oh, yes, yes. But I just see how both of them got.

Rich Bennett 1:06:35
Where it goes when it comes to celebrities. You have

don't really know. There's a lot.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:06:45
Jimmy Meisner is a celebrity.

Rich Bennett 1:06:49
Jonathan Sheck, who's an.

Alicia Hamilton 1:06:50
Actor, is about.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:06:51
The same.

Rich Bennett 1:06:51
Area. Wendy Davis, who is also an actor.

Derek Pentz 1:06:55
Is it Queen Latifah?

Tyler Zeisloft 1:06:57
I understand.

Derek Pentz 1:06:58
Okay.

Rich Bennett 1:06:59
She's from Baltimore.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:07:00
But I think she had family in.

Derek Pentz 1:07:01
Jail. Okay.

Rich Bennett 1:07:02
Sure. Yeah, right. Yeah. Um,

okay. One, one, one. Just went straight to, um, Billie Holiday. No. Billie Holiday. Yeah, No holiday. You live.

Alicia Hamilton 1:07:13
Here? Well, I'm not sure.

Rich Bennett 1:07:15
Or is that in Baltimore?

Jennifer Hathaway 1:07:16
Cal Ripken, I guess.

Alicia Hamilton 1:07:18
Well. Oh, yeah, for sure.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:07:20
Yeah.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:07:21
Um, so funny that he wasn't the first name we all came up with.

Alicia Hamilton 1:07:24
Yeah. How would you ever can say that was right? This

one time gold Dallas.

Rich Bennett 1:07:31
Star, Blaze Star.

Alicia Hamilton 1:07:33
Yes.

Rich Bennett 1:07:35
I'm surprised. I'm surprised.

Derek Pentz 1:07:36
Oh, I said a thing of bless. No, she's. I just did a whole art exhibit at See Star. She's a burlesque dancer, Right. She's from West Virginia, but she had her chair. Main residence was on Mount Vernon.

Alicia Hamilton 1:07:48
Okay. Okay, cool.

Rich Bennett 1:07:49
She had. Didn't she have an affair?

Derek Pentz 1:07:51
They were in it. Affair with Governor Huey Long of Louisiana. She's rumored to have an affair with JFK. And when her stuff was in the gallery, I got the name Jack coming through was a guy named Jack with this air box with her stuff, and she died. So I don't know what that.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:08:08
Has really weighed on me. It was on Chicago.

Alicia Hamilton 1:08:12
It was. Oh, God. Perkins.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:08:14
Perkins.

Rich Bennett 1:08:15
Perkins is all Chicago.

Alicia Hamilton 1:08:17
Oh. Oh.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:08:18
Okay. Chicago met. That's right. He's one of the doctors up for some reason I wanted to say Chicago fire. But yeah, he's And that's. Well, from Marion.

Alicia Hamilton 1:08:27
County on Harford.

Rich Bennett 1:08:29
County.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:08:29
He went to Bel Air. Wright didn't go to Bel Air High School. Couldn't think Conner Perkins no of Perkins.

Rich Bennett 1:08:36
Do you have how he Spangler with Ballyhoo who's from Aberdeen They've been touring everywhere. Hm Yeah.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:08:42
I think also there's success measured in the arts in different ways and you have a lot of people that are working in the, in the arts and entertainment world that maybe won't get their name on the Hollywood Walk of Fame but are actively working the time.

Rich Bennett 1:09:00
Yeah, we have the one author, Richard Sherman. Mhm. Who's always doing stuff.

Alicia Hamilton 1:09:05
You a.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:09:05
Lot of authors.

Alicia Hamilton 1:09:06
Oh yeah.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:09:07
Yeah. Yeah.

Rich Bennett 1:09:09
And we had we have one is going to be very famous. He's sitting here with us when she finishes her book.

Alicia Hamilton 1:09:14
Julia Chang

It's a two year thing.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:09:20
We're almost at the end here. Okay. Here is it for a lot of people's stories. That's really good.

Alicia Hamilton 1:09:25
I.

Rich Bennett 1:09:26
I saw.

Alicia Hamilton 1:09:27
Two people.

Rich Bennett 1:09:27
And one guy. I think he says 25 years. He was working on his book and a lady on I just interviewed not too long ago, 101 years old, The last book she wrote was 97, but she's waiting to get a new computer so she can write, although she says she's going to write short stories because she don't think she'll live long enough to read.

Alicia Hamilton 1:09:48
I hope I guess we were.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:09:51
We were into the Iron Birds game last week because Darlington Elementary's fourth and fifth grade students sing the national anthem. So I'm sitting there and I'm looking at this lady and it's at the point now I can't stop staring at her. I know I'm somewhere and I'm asking my husband. I'm like, Ask her what her name is. I know her from somewhere. So I'm like, I know you. What is your name? And she is Charlene Hout. And I said, Were you a teacher in Harford County? And she said yes. So she was a teacher at Magnolia Middle School. She was my English.

Rich Bennett 1:10:22
Oh, wow.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:10:22
Oh, okay. So her great granddaughter now goes to school with my daughter. And so we just got to chatting. And after she retired, she watched her grandkids for a while. Now they're all of school age and she's talking about, I'm finally going to write my book. I'm finally she's got books written, but now she's like putting. So it's so funny how it came full circle because now I'm going to be helping her with some marketing and PR and I'm like, This is so funny. And she over and she said she remembers me. My dad says that she tells that to everybody, probably.

Alicia Hamilton 1:10:54
I.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:10:54
Believe her. And she said, Take out your sunglasses, let me see your face. And she it was just really funny.

Rich Bennett 1:11:00
But that's one of the funny things about Harford Canning, all the towns here. I remember Riverside Elementary School. I went.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:11:06
I went there.

Rich Bennett 1:11:06
First, opened up, and I'll never forget when my daughter went there and my daughter's only 22 now. The first year she went there, I took her there. The custodian.

Alicia Hamilton 1:11:18
He lives in my own hair.

Rich Bennett 1:11:19
She's a rich bunny.

Alicia Hamilton 1:11:21
And he.

Rich Bennett 1:11:22
He remembers every he was there when the school opened up.

Alicia Hamilton 1:11:26
And he remembered.

Rich Bennett 1:11:27
Everybody that went to that school was amazing. I mean, just the people you run into that remember you, you know, and the people you meet. I mean, when I first met you, Jennifer, I.

Alicia Hamilton 1:11:41
Had no.

Rich Bennett 1:11:42
Idea that it was hers. The relationship there, you know,

it's it's just funny.

Alicia Hamilton 1:11:51
I knew it.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:11:52
Was my aunt because you went to me and you were like, Do you know Lisa? Yeah. And you guys went to school together.

Rich Bennett 1:11:58
And it's just it's how everything just.

Alicia Hamilton 1:12:01
Yeah.

Rich Bennett 1:12:02
Yeah, it's what I mean. Look how I met you all, which is awesome. Except for.

Alicia Hamilton 1:12:09
Everybody.

Rich Bennett 1:12:12
I had to get that crack. But what's the second part of your question? You said to.

Alicia Hamilton 1:12:17
That? Well, that was just a criminals and.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:12:19
Criminals? Yeah. Yeah, I was just. I've been watching a lot of crime shows.

Alicia Hamilton 1:12:25
Yeah.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:12:25
How dark you want those to get, because there are some very sad stories. Now, this person lived in Hartford County at one point, but I don't know if you guys remember when they were looking for that little girl and this this whole case ended up being on America's Most Wanted. They ended up finding her body at the top of which now I haven't been up there since They've been doing a lot of the road expansion and stuff. But at the top of drop off road there, there was always yeah, there were woods that cut between like Magnolia Middle and have a hill. But It was all woods where now I think they're expanding that road.

Rich Bennett 1:13:00
Yeah, they're taking it through.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:13:02
But that's where they have found her. And then come to find out like the person who headed the crime. But they had America's Most Wanted. They filmed it right there, like right at the end of Java Farm Road. And they did end up finding him, the guy who did the crime. And he had lived for, I guess, a short period of time in dropped down. So he knew he was like familiar with the area. Yeah.

Alicia Hamilton 1:13:24
I completely forgot about this. Yeah, you're all, I guess.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:13:28
Rachel So these two boys were coming home from school and had stumbled upon. So had they not, had they taken the bus, I mean, they were probably supposed to be on a bus. Yeah. Who knows. I mean, it could have been. Now when they're doing that expansion that somebody ended up finding her, but it was, you know, her family.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:13:48
I don't.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:13:48
Think that. Closure and closure. Yeah.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:13:51
Yeah. I don't know if they're any like other than, um, John Wilkes Booth, like famous criminals. But there are popular stories.

Rich Bennett 1:14:03
Yeah.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:14:03
Like, right.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:14:04
That. Like the one that you just told.

Rich Bennett 1:14:08
Those people will give them credit by saying their names because they were that.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:14:12
But I definitely think back like when I was in high school, think we a football game had gotten canceled. Maybe school was canceled because they were on the hunt. They were looking for somebody. It might have been the D.C. snipers. Oh It might have been that era. But I remember Lee Malvo. No, this was like Virginia.

Rich Bennett 1:14:31
Yeah. Yeah, that was right. Yeah, right. Shortly after 911, wasn't it?

Jennifer Hathaway 1:14:36
Yeah I think so, yeah. But I remember like a lot of there was it had a big.

Rich Bennett 1:14:41
Oh no, I know who you're talking.

Alicia Hamilton 1:14:42
About.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:14:43
Before that.

Rich Bennett 1:14:44
Yes. You're, you're not the it wasn't the D.C. snipers. It was.

Alicia Hamilton 1:14:49
Sydney like.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:14:51
Was he from Middle River Bowling School.

Rich Bennett 1:14:53
Yeah.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:14:53
Yeah.

Alicia Hamilton 1:14:55
That's. Yeah.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:14:55
Yes. Yeah.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:14:56
Bipolar disorder. I remember the helicopters because at the time or so, we lived on Latimer Road and we had also lived on Harbour Hill when I was younger. And I remember like the helicopters spotlights, I remember there being like police snipers on the top of Riverside Elementary School.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:15:16
And then and then they found he was in his sister and brother and, and nephew's townhome across from Eastpoint mall and Dun dog yeah right up North Point Boulevard and that on television and public is the only place you could watch it right so.

Alicia Hamilton 1:15:34
No one was in that.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:15:35
Live Facebook.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:15:37
Right so I was I lived in Dundalk at that time because my mother was taking care of my grandmother who lived down there. And I went to Baltimore School for the Arts for high school. So I would have to go back and forth like from Dundalk to Baltimore City and back. And so I would drive by that like that. But that was for the search itself was like two weeks because it started in like Edgewater, drop it down and then made it. He made his way.

Rich Bennett 1:16:03
I thought he was in my shed. Really? Yeah. Because I'd noticed my shirt was open so I could have been.

Alicia Hamilton 1:16:09
Mm. Yeah, Yeah. You know, No they never came about.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:16:12
Yeah. And it's, you know, it's, it's an awful, awful scary and I'm sure traumatic story. You did have bipolar disorder. It was a part of, you know, it was all because of that. But it did not end very well. I do remember that it was the the either sister or a sister in law because he said he wanted like iced tea made and she made him iced tea. But she put like melatonin or something in the in iced tea or a drugs or some drug to put him to sleep. Yeah. I wouldn't put him to sleep. The most terrifying part of me, that whole story and I can still see it. The first person to go out of the building was the man. The second to come out of the building was the woman which let out of the window, which left Joseph Helsinki. And the little boy in there by themselves.

Alicia Hamilton 1:17:07
Oh.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:17:10
And at that. Yeah. At that time then I think he heard something and woke up and he was sleeping with the gun on his stomach and he woke up and when he woke up that they shot at the building. And when I say shot it, I.

Rich Bennett 1:17:24
Mean like they opened fire.

Alicia Hamilton 1:17:26
Wow Yeah.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:17:27
But they had like a this was like then this was in 2099 or 2000. They had a robot bringing him food. And like he would call Denise on Jay Z and then he shot at Ron. That's from the window. Like he was far away, but like gave like a warning shot to like the tire out there that it was look it all up. I'm surprised.

Alicia Hamilton 1:17:49
It was not a movie.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:17:50
He did feature it my when like I'd discovery or like one of those channels. Yeah the story is on there.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:17:56
It's it should be a movie. Yeah. Because just how.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:18:00
I'm sure it will be lifetime.

Alicia Hamilton 1:18:02
But yeah like.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:18:03
It's like it's been a really long time. And I also remember there was another big story when the the doctor in Boston, the doctor involved in murder his wife.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:18:13
Was that that was no that was on Bel Air.

Rich Bennett 1:18:16
That was false in Bel Air.

Alicia Hamilton 1:18:17
One.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:18:18
And that was in like the last ten years.

Alicia Hamilton 1:18:20
Yeah. Yeah. Oh, really?

Jennifer Hathaway 1:18:21
And his wife and his son. There was one son that was left living.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:18:25
Oh, okay.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:18:26
Yeah. And then he killed himself. Oh, my God.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:18:28
Yeah. And then. And then the other one.

Alicia Hamilton 1:18:31
Where The one on.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:18:32
The one on Mooresville Road.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:18:34
That boy with.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:18:35
The boy killed the father.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:18:36
Very, very sad.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:18:38
That's. Yes, that was very. And every time I drive by that house, which is daily, I always just think like.

Rich Bennett 1:18:43
Daily.

Alicia Hamilton 1:18:44
So and.

Rich Bennett 1:18:46
So.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:18:47
Then you wonder if these stories are they just big to us.

Alicia Hamilton 1:18:51
But yeah, yeah.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:18:52
Because they rock.

Rich Bennett 1:18:53
Houses as this guy DJ, a wedding that he was at, I remember him being.

Alicia Hamilton 1:18:58
Yeah, well.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:19:00
I think that's a big story that was on.

Rich Bennett 1:19:02
That was.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:19:03
That was national news at the time because we weren't getting can't ten who.

Rich Bennett 1:19:07
Is right behind.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:19:07
Like we are.

Rich Bennett 1:19:08
Top ten Hyundai where I worked and the area where he was barricaded in.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:19:13
Yeah something else that happened here in Hartford County in back in the at our high school was President Reagan landed if anybody remembers that I landed at Ballston High School and like I want to say 87, I was twice. I'm not going to say how old I was, but.

Alicia Hamilton 1:19:32
Yeah.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:19:33
It was in the late eighties. But yeah, I remember my mom us up to watch him and everything.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:19:38
That's really cool. I never knew that. Yeah.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:19:41
You spent at that elementary school, all the kids went out and held up like a colored of paper construction paper. And from the aerial view, it made a an American flag. And I remember. Yeah, I remember that picture hanging in you.

Rich Bennett 1:19:55
Okay, you guys, some of you remember remember homes across America?

Jennifer Hathaway 1:20:00
I can't remember.

Alicia Hamilton 1:20:01
Where.

Rich Bennett 1:20:01
More than 40 everybody was at the time. We owned the nightclub in Aberdeen. So we had everybody go out front. Everybody was holding hands.

Alicia Hamilton 1:20:09
Yeah.

Rich Bennett 1:20:10
And I think when it hit the river, I think some of the water somewhere in boats, if I'm not mistaken.

Alicia Hamilton 1:20:16
Okay.

Rich Bennett 1:20:16
For when I across America.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:20:19
How'd that work out for. I don't know.

Alicia Hamilton 1:20:21
We could have.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:20:24
Everybody could play.

Alicia Hamilton 1:20:25
On together. Oh, that.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:20:27
Sounds like.

Alicia Hamilton 1:20:28
It.

Rich Bennett 1:20:29
I saw two things I want to wrap this up with, and we're going to start to the right. This stuff

to last questions.

Local business that you like to go to in Hartford County and Y and local restaurant

town to see that they're doing.

Julia Chang 1:20:50
Okay local restaurant is sunny Day cafe my husband and I, we do a lot of we don't do date nights, but we do a lot of breakfast dates, day dates and during the school year at least Right now it's summer and he's got summer camp until not so much right now. But during the school year we would go like Sunny Day Cafe and we have our waitress. I think her name is Gabriella Shout out because.

Alicia Hamilton 1:21:14
She was

I can't

Oh my God.

Julia Chang 1:21:25
I was sort of there. Okay. But she she's like, oh, the usual. I'm like, just to be able to say that like we have our spot where we get the usual and she knows our order and all the food is good

and then favorite business.

Rich Bennett 1:21:41
Business shop, whatever.

Julia Chang 1:21:43
Is in the shop. Okay, I love the nest. The nest is across the street from sunny day, the nest on me.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:21:48
Very cool.

Julia Chang 1:21:49
I don't take my kids there because it's delicate and they're going to break. So.

Alicia Hamilton 1:21:52
Yeah.

Julia Chang 1:21:53
But it's just for me, like my me time, there's always something to look at. And I could spend, you know, and you just look at everything and trying to lotions and it's pretty and I'm happy in there.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:22:03
Do you want to know why that business opened? Did you ever hear her story?

Alicia Hamilton 1:22:06
You know.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:22:07
She was she had jury duty and she was on lunch and was walking down Main Street and said, there's nothing to do for me. Well, except eat. And so she opened it. Wow. Yep. And that's how we thank her. And we all thank her. Yeah, but that's what she was that yes, she had jury duty and that's sort of where it came from.

Rich Bennett 1:22:29
I've definitely got to get there now.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:22:30
Yeah, it's very cool.

Rich Bennett 1:22:32
Yeah, That means you're next there.

Alicia Hamilton 1:22:33
I heard.

Derek Pentz 1:22:34
Okay, I'll try. My favorite restaurant. I love sizzling Bombay. I love Indian food.

Alicia Hamilton 1:22:39
And they're in there.

Derek Pentz 1:22:40
Yes, they're awesome. Compete. Yeah, but it's. I love Indian food. They don't make, like, just the right amount of spicy pao. That's my my fave favorite business. I love Haven and have degrees I can get all my like when she finds stuff there and horrible stuff.

Rich Bennett 1:22:56
And then there it man.

Alicia Hamilton 1:22:59
Yeah that's yeah I love want you.

Rich Bennett 1:23:01
To get to a lot of places do not.

Derek Pentz 1:23:05
Have hey definitely my fave and Then.

Julia Chang 1:23:07
Bombay has a lunch.

Alicia Hamilton 1:23:09
Buffet.

Julia Chang 1:23:09
Yes, that's like our favorite. Mahendra Did you hear them give you a shout out?

Alicia Hamilton 1:23:12
What?

Like this, By the.

Rich Bennett 1:23:19
Way, this is great.

Alicia Hamilton 1:23:20
Like,

right quick download if I ever saw of like, side note. Sorry, I'm just going. I just. You just have to just record that. All right.

Oh, that's good. I love my podcast notifications.

Derek Pentz 1:23:39
Like I went there for my birthday because my best friend's vegan.

Rich Bennett 1:23:47
I made a vegan chocolate mousse. Ooh, Yeah. Although you. I should've used milk chocolate instead of dark chocolate because used the dark chocolate, which is very chocolate, but also was was tofu dark chocolate chips. I had a little bit of honey for sweetness and which maybe I should have a little bit on it. No, but it was good.

What do you. What did I do wrong? Oh, I was good.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:24:14
I was really.

Alicia Hamilton 1:24:15
Good. I mean, I know.

Rich Bennett 1:24:16
Great many people. Hey, I can put them in a.

Alicia Hamilton 1:24:19
Pot, right? Good.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:24:20
That all the Italians on Instagram.

Alicia Hamilton 1:24:24
Yeah, you do that.

Oh, someone here. Oh.

Derek Pentz 1:24:29
No, I'm culturally very Italian. That's. Oh.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:24:32
Well, yes, I know. I've been blacklisted from the Maryland Italian Festival. Yeah, I was going to say.

Yeah, that of that podcast was very eye opening. I had to dig deep and do a lot of soul searching.

Rich Bennett 1:24:48
She saved me though, because we we had a scotch on.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:24:51
Yes, that was she was like we got to.

Rich Bennett 1:24:54
I been I've mentioned how I make spaghetti in an instant pot and he's like, what I said an instant. I said, What's the instant pot?

Jennifer Hathaway 1:25:01
It was like, what's it?

Rich Bennett 1:25:02
And so I guess I told him in a bit about that he, he was getting all me, that he made the mistake of saying you got to use what wrote Roma tomatoes. And the best ones come from Jersey. That's ahead of you. It's like, Oh, no, no, no, no. Yeah. Oh, but then she messed it up.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:25:20
And I let him have his moment.

Rich Bennett 1:25:22
So she brought the spaghetti noodles in hand because that's the only way to fit the pot. Took all the heat off of me.

Alicia Hamilton 1:25:30
Yeah, I just that.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:25:32
Whole deeper, too, because I was saying that he's like, Don't you have a big pot? And I said, Yes, I do have a big And sometimes I we take it out to, we take the food out to the chickens and we don't the and he said, wait a minute, what like you're using the same pot in the kitchen. It's what you feed it. I'm going to like what I don't feed it. It just was getting worse. It was getting worse and worse. So I just had to find it.

Derek Pentz 1:25:52
That's a big one. And then using like a source, like, Oh God. Or something, it's real.

Rich Bennett 1:25:59
Is is.

Alicia Hamilton 1:25:59
Okay. But look.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:26:02
I'm in my mom era, right?

Tyler Zeisloft 1:26:05
Hey, we're over here. Tomato, garlic and basil all day.

Alicia Hamilton 1:26:08
Got ragu get it?

Rich Bennett 1:26:10
Like I gave up. I don't do from scratch anymore. Chef Boyardee is my saying right.

Alicia Hamilton 1:26:15
To say, Look, I.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:26:16
Feel like even the sauce came out of a can If the dinner didn't come out of a bag, like from a drive thru or like I'd open up a canned. That's a win for me, right?

Tyler Zeisloft 1:26:25
Yeah. Good. If you boiled water and pasta came out, you're good.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:26:30
You're right. Nobody got time for that, right? And if you do have time for that, then I need to teach me your ways to me what you do.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:26:38
Oh, yeah. It's fun to watch Instant pot. Well, just watch those folks on. It's going to be like. So I'm a I'm a mom of seven.

Alicia Hamilton 1:26:44
Oh, I know.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:26:45
And I work 40 hours a week, and my husband is a firefighter with a rotating schedule. But here's how we eat healthy. And like, there's just like all this food out and vegetables. I'm like, You are so full, chef.

Alicia Hamilton 1:26:58
$800 worth of stuff right now with a.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:27:02
Walk in the pantry. A hidden pantry? Yeah.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:27:05
Oh, or they'll do. Or they'll be like, Hi, I'm. You know, I'm a little over 40 hours a week. We've got five kids. Here's how we do Disney. Yeah. At 3 a.m., I wake up and I start.

Alicia Hamilton 1:27:17
I know it's rough, and I'm just like, No, no, you don't. Oh, please don't be so not like.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:27:24
Oh, my dear, like. And then I come home and then my husband gets up so I can be with the kids. And then he goes down.

Alicia Hamilton 1:27:30
On the ground to talk about.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:27:31
Brooke. Probably four.

Alicia Hamilton 1:27:33
Boys. Yeah. And she's like, And then at 5:00.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:27:36
They wake up and we have to be there for a rope drop. So we go have our breakfast at 530. I'm like, This sounds.

Alicia Hamilton 1:27:42
Yeah. And like, how.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:27:45
You can do Disney with no lines. You're going to wake

boys out the door at 855. You need to be here at 920. You're here.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:27:54
And yeah, I'm like, This sounds like not a vacation.

Alicia Hamilton 1:27:57
It's not at all. Well, I know, but I mean, we did it once.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:28:01
I should say. Like it feels like boot camp.

Alicia Hamilton 1:28:04
Like it doesn't feel like an adventure.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:28:07
Like it feels like, Oh.

Alicia Hamilton 1:28:08
I love 330. Let's get up. Brush your teeth. Let's go. We've got to be there for the rope. Drop it. But it's a small world after all. Like, I don't want.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:28:17
It all and all that and didn't. How?

Alicia Hamilton 1:28:21
Right.

Rich Bennett 1:28:22
You got.

Alicia Hamilton 1:28:23
It. Not one kid cried.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:28:25
I know. She only had to ask them one time to put their shoes right.

Alicia Hamilton 1:28:29
Hey, how many takes was like, right. Oh. Oh, we digress. Oh, your turn.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:28:36
It was business and restaurant, right?

Alicia Hamilton 1:28:37
Yeah.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:28:38
So business I would say in there. I love full heart

haven.

Rich Bennett 1:29:02
Probably almost

those your family?

Jennifer Hathaway 1:29:08
Yeah, my grandparents.

Rich Bennett 1:29:10
Oh, wow. For yeah. I thought you're going to say Preston's. I'm like, oh yeah.

Alicia Hamilton 1:29:13
Like, yeah, I know.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:29:15
And my, my grandfather got sick in the nineties, like, late nineties. He, they sold it. It's now the bridal shop. Oh my gosh, that's my wedding dress. So yeah, so little little plug there just since we're talking about. Oh cool history and stuff. So anyway. Yeah. So they actually added that like second floor the steps my grandparents but all.

Alicia Hamilton 1:29:38
Oh wow.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:29:39
Wow. Yeah. So it's really, really cool but yeah for her solutions of that that shop in Bel Air and then fever restaurant I love bones Sean Bones is definitely my favorite go.

Rich Bennett 1:29:53
To I know I know.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:29:55
Obviously Stella.

Rich Bennett 1:29:56
I'm losing my title of Mr..

Alicia Hamilton 1:29:58
Harper.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:30:00
Turning into a summer of field trips. We're going to take everything from this podcast. I'll put it into a list and we will go visit. Yes.

Alicia Hamilton 1:30:08
Yeah. Yeah.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:30:09
I love their shepherd's pie. I haven't.

Alicia Hamilton 1:30:11
Heard. Yeah.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:30:12
The Reuben is very. I've have both.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:30:14
And they're chicken fingers.

Alicia Hamilton 1:30:16
They're huge.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:30:17
Now, you guys could feed like, a whole family. Like there's enough.

Rich Bennett 1:30:20
But anyway, their shepherd's pie is really good.

Alicia Hamilton 1:30:23
Amazing.

Rich Bennett 1:30:24
So what you're telling me is, for St Patrick's Day, I need to go there now.

Alicia Hamilton 1:30:28
Yes.

Rich Bennett 1:30:28
You know, we usually hit a great wall after reading.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:30:33
Of McGurk's.

Alicia Hamilton 1:30:35
Or. Yeah.

Rich Bennett 1:30:36
We hit the cemetery first and then we hit Dan in Baltimore County, the dugout. Then we go to McGregor's and sometimes over to Coakley's.

Alicia Hamilton 1:30:46
Okay.

Derek Pentz 1:30:47
I just did a pair investigation because.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:30:49
There really was fun.

Alicia Hamilton 1:30:50
Stuff.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:30:52
That seems to have happened. Definitely. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay, so which one? MacGregor's We'll stick with that. I'm a very ambiance kind of person and I love the water views. So MacGregor's Tidewater, just being out there, especially like a brunch, sitting out there and enjoying the view is probably my favorite favorite place to eat business. I'm going to. I like Full heart because I like, I love Lisa. She's amazing owner but the Painted Mill is really cool, is a cool place and I love John. She's very energetic and all over the place like me. So we can sit down and, you know, say start five sentences each and not finish any of them, you know.

Alicia Hamilton 1:31:33
But you know, people like that. Yeah, with.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:31:34
Them, they're so creative and it's fun.

Alicia Hamilton 1:31:36
So yeah, I'll give.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:31:37
You a plug for her and it's cool. It's kind of like the nest a little bit.

Alicia Hamilton 1:31:40
Have you been to the beaten mill?

Jennifer Hathaway 1:31:41
I think it's a family of it's only open one week in a month. But there.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:31:47
One.

Alicia Hamilton 1:31:47
Yeah. You drive by. Yeah. Yeah.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:31:49
Because it's beautiful but it's this big old and it's got That's an old mill or an old mill.

Alicia Hamilton 1:31:55
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Barn. The painted barn.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:32:00
But there's a ton of vendors in there that have kind of like the nest a little bit, I think. Where is it on number 52?

Tyler Zeisloft 1:32:08
Yeah. So if you drive down one fifth, if you're Ballston High School and you turn left to like get on 152, you'll see it on the right hand side about 50 yards down. I don't know.

Alicia Hamilton 1:32:18
You get it now you got to go.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:32:20
Down that route.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:32:22
Oh okay. Yeah. Yeah. But you can see it. That's what I mean by, you know, when it's open because it there's never people in there any other time. Yeah But then it's like line.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:32:33
Yeah. I guess I'm going to stick with. It's really hard to narrow it down to one, but I'm going to go like in Havre de Grace in general. I have to give a little shout out to 410 empanadas right there on Washington Street, because they are. They're delicious. My husband loves that. Especially I do as well but.

Rich Bennett 1:32:53
All the.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:32:53
Official.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:32:55
Yeah.

Alicia Hamilton 1:32:55
Yeah, yeah.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:32:57
So 4121 bananas and you they're right next.

Alicia Hamilton 1:33:00
To each other or I.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:33:02
Don't.

Derek Pentz 1:33:02
Know. Let me break Possono.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:33:03
Oh, well, Antonella, you did not hear that.

So they sponsored my daughter's softball team as well. So I think that it's just supporting those small businesses that are also supporting your kids like is so important. But also love waterfront seafood that's right there in Havre de Grace. Like you had mentioned the views. It's it's it I love the ambiance of that place. And I will tell you that owner she so sweet like when they say family owned restaurant like they they practice what they preach. I remember we had just had my third baby. He was in a car on them and she came over and just as sweet as could be. And she offered to hold him like while we were eating. And I just she was like, you're. And he went right to her. She stood there at the table and she was talking to us and she was like, you know, doing the mom bounce. And Peyton is back. And we got to like, sit and eat our food and just she has three boys. She also she also opened up a little cottage. I don't know if it's going to be there much longer. I think this made it it was like a passion project. I hope that it's still there, but it was like a little gift shop right there. Went right by the American Legion, this really cute little cottage.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:34:17
Oh, yeah.

Rich Bennett 1:34:19
Yeah, I know that.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:34:20
So yeah, go support her and for for businesses. Just all of the shops and HAVERTY, Grace and Bellaire, all of those everywhere. All those little gift shops and Hartford that are family run like that. You can find such unique little things in there that aren't from a big chain store. Yeah, I.

Rich Bennett 1:34:37
Can't believe you did not see.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:34:39
And Laura's Orchard is a point. Oh, my gosh. Of course. Yes. Where are your local farmers laws or treaties? Yeah. Get your produce there. Yeah, You're going to. I mean, you're you're, you're getting it fresh. So yeah, you might pay a little bit more than what you're paying in the grocery store, but probably not that much. And you're getting it. You're supporting the farm, you're supporting hard for county farmers. That's so important that you know where it's coming. Yes. Yeah. I don't know if it's true or not. Just about like people posting like they're buying fruit, they're cutting it, it's plastic or it's like all the and I'm like, is this real? Is this like for social media to get likes? Who knows? But I'm just saying, are you you? Yep. You know where it's coming by. You buy local support local go out to the farmer's market or farmer's market traveling versus farmer's markets. Like get out do it. It's a fun it's just fun to to get your family out there. You never know who you meet.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:35:33
And and they have art there, too.

Alicia Hamilton 1:35:34
Yeah.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:35:35
You got a little bit of everything.

Rich Bennett 1:35:37
Sometimes you have a local author's there.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:35:39
Yeah Yeah. This is a county you can buy a half a cow.

Alicia Hamilton 1:35:43
True. Yeah. I think.

Rich Bennett 1:35:46
It bothers.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:35:46
Me. A deep freeze.

Alicia Hamilton 1:35:47
Maybe a bit about the whole cow. Yeah. Yeah.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:35:50
Yes, absolutely. There's, like, love.

Alicia Hamilton 1:35:53
Yeah, But then I.

Derek Pentz 1:35:53
Drive and I'm like, Oh, is that the cow I'm.

Alicia Hamilton 1:35:55
Eating? Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:35:58
So now you have. We're going to have to tell you like what we tell our kids. Like that's.

Alicia Hamilton 1:36:02
Little taste of.

Rich Bennett 1:36:09
That.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:36:10
Yes, mine is. I'm very nostalgic. I've always been that type of person. So a lot of the things that I like in this town are things that I've always liked in this town. So forgive the that that I don't want to say cheap palate, but not fine dining when I say Box Hill Pizzeria.

Alicia Hamilton 1:36:30
Oh, yeah, yeah.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:36:31
Crab cakes, baby. Here.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:36:33
Yeah. And also one town folk rock.

Alicia Hamilton 1:36:35
I was going to say.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:36:37
My gosh, yes, those are two great ones.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:36:39
Yeah, they've just been here a very long time. The food tastes exactly the same like it did 35 years ago. And as far as businesses go, music land.

Alicia Hamilton 1:36:51
Oh, yes, Larry.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:36:53
And they're involved with the Maryland Italian festivals.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:36:56
Yes. Larry. No, no. I just.

Rich Bennett 1:36:59
Tell them.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:36:59
SINGER Nothing has changed. I mean, it got bigger in size. They've got that whole, like open mic side stage now. Yeah, but even Box Hill Pizzeria. I mean, when I first started going in there, it was just a little tiny walk up to counter and watch them make food. And now and don't they ship anywhere?

Derek Pentz 1:37:21
Because I look like I want to say my mom sent me crab cakes. I loved it.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:37:24
Yes, yes. Anywhere in the United States. It's a great Christmas gift. It's like, seriously, if you have like a family that lives in like Seattle, for example, you can.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:37:32
Integrate it in. Yeah. And that's a popular place. I feel like anybody has a family coming in, especially on the Harvard County advice line, like, where's a good spot to take? My family like that is always on the list and they are related to Riverside Pizzeria.

Rich Bennett 1:37:48
Oh, really?

Alicia Hamilton 1:37:50
Yeah.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:37:50
No, they're the same. It's the same menu, same everything. Yep.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:37:53
Oh, yeah. Their cookies are the best, though. I think they are.

Julia Chang 1:37:56
Like, not a whole lot of fillers and just big chunks. Yeah.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:37:58
I mean, rice pudding to say.

Alicia Hamilton 1:38:00
Thank you, girl. I it is so good. I so good.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:38:07
But I actually made a post specifically for a rice pudding national rice pudding day because you know, there's a national label like everything. But I made a point to put it on my calendar and go to box office every day.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:38:17
Which causes shame because it is so good. Not even line.

Alicia Hamilton 1:38:22
With, like, raisins on top.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:38:23
Yes. Well, they don't put it. Yeah, I don't know. But they do have the cinnamon and cinnamon and also their.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:38:29
House sounds terrible.

Alicia Hamilton 1:38:30
I have a text version.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:38:32
Excited for you, but.

Julia Chang 1:38:34
Never rice pudding.

I think we're all going to be happy.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:38:39
But they also have their house dressing for their salad is to die for. And if you buy it, you can buy a bottle to take home. And if you bring the bottle back, they fill it up for a discounted price.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:38:54
That's why I wish Katrina did that. I'm wondering if it's.

Rich Bennett 1:38:58
Going to do anything for that and say no breaking news at.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:39:03
All. But I will have you talk about an item soon.

Alicia Hamilton 1:39:07
And I love.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:39:09
If I can purchase that from Buck, so I will have to try that. I love that. Is it like you like that?

Tyler Zeisloft 1:39:15
Was that like sort of like a Parmesan sort like it's like a house.

Rich Bennett 1:39:19
Vinegar subject around lunch.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:39:21
I know you.

Alicia Hamilton 1:39:23
Guys already grill.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:39:24
What's your favorite place?

Rich Bennett 1:39:25
What are the places I like to shop? It is up in Havre de Grace. Good finger, Blue Heron.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:39:30
Yeah.

Alicia Hamilton 1:39:31
You shop. I love it there.

Rich Bennett 1:39:33
Going in there? Yeah, well, I'm not going to name a restaurant. Good name. Two places to go to do one for crabs. I love a seafood stop.

Alicia Hamilton 1:39:44
Oh, yeah, Yeah. Crabs.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:39:46

Rich Bennett 1:39:47

Rich Bennett 1:40:01

Tyler Zeisloft 1:40:02

Alicia Hamilton 1:40:06
Large Santa Claus, right? Yeah.

Rich Bennett 1:40:08

Alicia Hamilton 1:40:12
And on the.

Rich Bennett 1:40:13
Weekends. Yeah, because I love it. Santa Claus there. Oh, they.

Alicia Hamilton 1:40:17
Are going to do me.

Rich Bennett 1:40:20

Alicia Hamilton 1:40:22
I love that.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:40:24
Oh, it's white Santa Eight ice cream got melted.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:40:29
Now, like all the kids are going to be like, Wait a minute, are we is a milk or a bowl of ice cream? I'm so confused.

Alicia Hamilton 1:40:35
By what my brother was saying.

Rich Bennett 1:40:36
It needs to stay warm. All right, last question and we'll go answer Julia again because, well.

Alicia Hamilton 1:40:43
If it's going.

Rich Bennett 1:40:44
To be hard for you because you've only for 12 years.

Alicia Hamilton 1:40:46
Okay.

Rich Bennett 1:40:47
What's one of the biggest things, whether it be business, restaurant, the historical place, whatever that you miss in order for candy that's no longer here.

Um.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:41:04
During the silence, I'm going to throw out Madonna's seafood has great all you can crabs.

Alicia Hamilton 1:41:10

Tyler Zeisloft 1:41:23

Rich Bennett 1:41:24
Shellfish with you?

Julia Chang 1:41:25
Yeah. Yes.

Alicia Hamilton 1:41:26
Yep.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:41:27
That's a.

Julia Chang 1:41:29
Tough one.

Derek Pentz 1:41:29
It's a real tough one.

Alicia Hamilton 1:41:30
That's it. I know. I'm going to sit there.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:41:32
All right. When I was actually going to bring.

Alicia Hamilton 1:41:34
It up, which was of all the beer in the range.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:41:37
And I was going to, I forgot. And then when you brought this quest, the roller rink.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:41:42
The roller rink.

Rich Bennett 1:41:43
Roller coaster, roller rinks. Well, I had played around it, too. And I don't think you're in a roller rink at all for Kenny.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:41:50
I don't think there is either. But that used to be the Fri go to.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:41:53
Yeah, I had my first kid back there. Oh right.

Alicia Hamilton 1:41:57

Tyler Zeisloft 1:42:14
I'm the big am drive thru.

Alicia Hamilton 1:42:16
So I got to drive that.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:42:18

Alicia Hamilton 1:42:21
And drive in. That would be.

Rich Bennett 1:42:23
Another drive it. Yeah.

Alicia Hamilton 1:42:24
Yeah. Because I mean there's.

Rich Bennett 1:42:26
Only one place we closed now actually we're playing apartments now or some type of housing where you drive in.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:42:33

Alicia Hamilton 1:42:34

Derek Pentz 1:42:34
The bay you restaurant have degrees. Oh, it's Alzheimer's funeral home like I'll.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:42:39

Rich Bennett 1:42:40
It's not a funeral home.

Derek Pentz 1:42:41
You bought it but like that just came to mind. That's close.

Alicia Hamilton 1:42:45
Yeah.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:42:46
Mm. How do you. It's Chesapeake Grill.

Alicia Hamilton 1:42:49
Oh, I love that baby. Yeah.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:42:51
Yes, they do.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:42:53
Before we had the little ones like that. The place is the one. I know. It's on the weekends and.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:42:58
It's so good.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:43:00
Yeah. And the ballpark.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:43:01
Ballpark dining.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:43:02
That's a good place. So you signings and some big names in there to do signings.

Rich Bennett 1:43:10
Yeah. Felicia.

Alicia Hamilton 1:43:11
Still thinking?

Jennifer Hathaway 1:43:12
I am. Yeah. I'm trying to think of places we might have gone to.

Rich Bennett 1:43:15
One of my restaurant I used to love. We used to go there all the time. I really miss is Giovanni's.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:43:23
Oh, right.

Alicia Hamilton 1:43:24
Yeah, brother.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:43:25
So now they're only doing catering now?

Alicia Hamilton 1:43:27
Yeah.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:43:27
Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm glad I have been to one of those places, you know, at least a few times before. You know, they closed for their family. Somebody didn't take it over or whatever the situation. I miss old school. Hartford Mall.

Alicia Hamilton 1:43:45
Thank you. Yes. And my name?

Rich Bennett 1:43:47
I miss Tollgate.

Alicia Hamilton 1:43:49
Yeah. Oh, you know.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:43:51
I got so much new kids on the block stuff and the one store that they had there. And did you guys ever do the sleepover? Yeah, I did. You know, ours. The girl.

Alicia Hamilton 1:44:01
With.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:44:01
The bear that did the flip on the outside of players. There was a bear that was.

Alicia Hamilton 1:44:07
You know, I feel.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:44:08
Like it was like a gymnastics bear. Every day it would flip. And I think it was right outside the food court.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:44:14
And there was a cigar.

Alicia Hamilton 1:44:15
Shop in there.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:44:17
For video and Hartford Mall. Like, have you seen it's it's maybe from the nineties.

Alicia Hamilton 1:44:24
Yes.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:44:25
And it's huge food court and.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:44:28
Galanos and.

Alicia Hamilton 1:44:31
Woolworth.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:44:31
Hoagie fair.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:44:33
Yeah Oh of.

Alicia Hamilton 1:44:34
Them were.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:44:34
Fairly you.

Alicia Hamilton 1:44:35
Know Yeah.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:44:36
But yes the Woolworth with the lunch counter. Yeah. Is that it. Yeah. It wasn't Montgomery Ward. That was the Woolworth lunch counter.

Rich Bennett 1:44:44
Oh yes. Yeah.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:44:45
Restaurant in Woolworth also.

Rich Bennett 1:44:47
Yeah.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:44:48
There used to be a Woolworth on me.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:44:50
Oh, really? You don't remember the lunch counter?

Alicia Hamilton 1:44:53
Hm?

Tyler Zeisloft 1:44:54
Yeah, they.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:44:55
I remember the cigar place that had this big, like, carved Indian thing outside of it, but it just always smelled so good.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:45:01
Yeah. Oh, right. Yeah. It was like a tobacco place.

Alicia Hamilton 1:45:04
Yeah.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:45:05
And then there was a Turk's, which is like where you bought Dad's Christmas gift

ties, tie clips, golf beans, you know, stuff like that.

Rich Bennett 1:45:18
Oh, that's right. Yes, I remember. I remember when Our family was built and you started seeing the demise of the shopping centers like Japantown. We had like, shopping some. Now it seems like the malls are going away and you're starting to see more shopping centers now. They're calling them avenues, right? Yeah. It's like they're making a comeback and they're turning the malls, I guess, into living spaces

like it.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:45:43
I I'm really curious to see how that plays out in the next 20 years.

Alicia Hamilton 1:45:48
Mhm.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:45:49
And I mean I can't imagine having a mall around here but like you go to Christiana and that mall seems to be thriving. Yeah.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:45:59
Well you give the people what they want and we're not doing.

Rich Bennett 1:46:02
Now everybody because everybody's getting spoiled by the online shopping.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:46:06
Well but I think to her point she's saying like people are going to Capellas, people are going.

Alicia Hamilton 1:46:11
To have to happen if.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:46:13
We part way too. It was a pretty long walk. I got my steps in that day to, you know, head into the doors and it was busy. It was very and they had these strollers that you could they were free to use. And they look like little cars, like sport cars. I'm telling you, my he was my three year old son sat in that thing and it was the best shopping experience ever. We did a lot of Christmas shopping that day and he just stayed in that. It's like a like a little Porsche, you know, It's like fancy looking cars and it makes a sound and.

Julia Chang 1:46:47
Those are fun. There's like very few grocery stores that have like a fire truck or something like that.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:46:52
You have that genius and the little shopper. So, yeah, yeah, that's spring training. Oh, my gosh, those are cute.

Rich Bennett 1:46:59
Like the the electric Porsches and everything else. Yeah. Shoe stores. I think when I broke, when they stopped putting them all out there.

Alicia Hamilton 1:47:07
But you know.

Rich Bennett 1:47:08
As a 40 year old, you're not supposed to right now.

Alicia Hamilton 1:47:12
I know. I'm still you.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:47:13
Know how they have the. Sorry. Yeah. I want to be like this specific rules and stuff and you're like, somebody did something. But now they have because you're like, why would they have to have that warning sign? Yeah. Now we know who it was.

Rich Bennett 1:47:24
Look, I didn't see a weight limit on it at the time. I seen your pants. How was I supposed to know that?

Alicia Hamilton 1:47:30
That's the best warning.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:47:31
Sign I saw was in a bus in Bel Air. And we are not responsible. Our melted chocolate is not eligible for return. We are not responsible if your chocolate melts. And I'm like, they have to have this sign.

Alicia Hamilton 1:47:47
Here, because.

Rich Bennett 1:47:47
Sometimes.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:47:49
I get some more. I left it in the car to go.

Alicia Hamilton 1:47:51
Shop right.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:47:53
When I was a teenager and I was helping out at the farm one summer. You know, we usually open the stand up. It's like 8:00 in the morning. And this lady came in, she bought some produce and, you know, she went on her way. So it's around lunchtime. She comes back and, she says, You sold me this busted watermelon. Watermelon is bad. And I'm like, Well, I know the watermelon didn't leave here like that. So I'm like a people pleaser. And I call my cousin and I'm like, I can't you know, there's a customer. She came she was here earlier this morning and she came back and and she was having an issue with her watermelon. And she says, well, how long could you leave the watermelon? She left it in her car and went shopping. So, I mean, it's the middle of summertime and that watermelon. Oh.

Alicia Hamilton 1:48:40
Wow. So. Oh, yeah.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:48:43
Now let's go look in your car, man.

Alicia Hamilton 1:48:47
Oh, my God.

Rich Bennett 1:48:47
That's one. Another thing. I do miss those little words. You can chop it down as we used to the lines when we used to have our Easter egg hunt there.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:48:54
Yeah, I remember that. I mean, I was little like, when. When I have a lot of those memories. But I remember following my grandfather around the farm and then pressing cider, and I swear I learned how to run bike.

Rich Bennett 1:49:08
I remember your grandfather shooting at us.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:49:10
Oh, I've heard a lot of.

Alicia Hamilton 1:49:12
Stories.

Rich Bennett 1:49:12
Hanging out there. And there you hear good old man Lore Road.

Alicia Hamilton 1:49:16
Woo woo!

Rich Bennett 1:49:18
Well.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:49:20
That's scary. Yes. I'm not sure if that.

Rich Bennett 1:49:22
I don't miss.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:49:22
That. And my great grandfather, he passed away like the year that I was born. So that would've been 1988. That's when he had passed away. So then my grandfather's George, and then the farm sold and like, what, the late nineties?

Alicia Hamilton 1:49:35
Yeah.

Rich Bennett 1:49:37
I went that was

what was it, my senior year. So I would be 78 or 79.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:49:43
Okay. That was probably my great grandfather. Okay. But I heard a lot every time somebody would talk, bring up laws or trade and they were talking about memories, they would say, Oh yeah, well we were out there for gym class. We tried to go and like get a peach or something like that. And yeah, it was good. There was a lot of land too.

Rich Bennett 1:50:02
Yeah.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:50:04
Do you remember how many acres it was? I didn't drop a town, so I know the church that I think is like 80, 80 something acres. I can't remember how. And it used to be it was because I think they had sold the property for a job. A town house would be built. One, I think. So it was the number started to dwindle. But I think I guess that's why I had to drop a farm road, because it went right through like the farm we had.

Rich Bennett 1:50:31
Yeah, yeah. There was actually, I think another farm here too, called Joppa.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:50:36
Oh, was that the first name?

Rich Bennett 1:50:39
Hanson had a farm Yeah.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:50:41
My dad, um, my dad did a lot of work for Mr. Hanson.

Rich Bennett 1:50:46
Oh, really?

Jennifer Hathaway 1:50:46
Yeah. If you guys have ever gone down Hanson Road, there's like, is a house still there? It's like this big thing. So. And like, surrounded by a lot of the townhouses, but he bought an old Ford pickup truck from him years ago. That thing was such a clunker. And I still remember that. Like the smell of it, like that old Ford truck. I used to drive it on the farm and diesel.

Rich Bennett 1:51:09
Back in the.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:51:11
I think it was, but it was

it's a lot of fun memories.

Rich Bennett 1:51:18
Tyler, what is it you miss?

Tyler Zeisloft 1:51:21
So sort of my thing was was Hartford Mall. But I so much inside of Hartford mall and.

Rich Bennett 1:51:29
You like what's that it was Eunice said.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:51:32
She said and I cosigned it.

Alicia Hamilton 1:51:37
Yeah.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:51:38
Boardwalk fun the arcade.

Alicia Hamilton 1:51:40
Oh yeah.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:51:41
Yeah, yeah, yeah. They also had that You could go to the movies there. I saw Mrs. Doubtfire there in the movie.

Alicia Hamilton 1:51:49
That came out, right? Yeah.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:51:51
So White Fang and cried my eyes out.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:51:53
That's. Yeah. But everybody like, you have that. Like, you know what you saw there, you know, whether it be the last time or not, the food. It was cool, I remember seeing 4 p.m. in concert in the food court. The job at town or Aberdeen based R&B group that's that. And Mike Elva was Elvis impersonator. He was there you Yeah. There's just so many fun memories If anybody got their glamour shot done.

Alicia Hamilton 1:52:24
Oh, gosh, Yeah.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:52:26
Ha ha ha. I did not do that. Friendly's is still.

Alicia Hamilton 1:52:29
There and.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:52:29
Friendly's is still there and my kids love it. We go all the time. Me too.

Rich Bennett 1:52:34
Though they didn't have friends, they got to go to rehab fairs. Right? Okay.

Alicia Hamilton 1:52:39
So we had Friendly's in Hartford. Okay.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:52:42
They got What's the matter with it?

Tyler Zeisloft 1:52:43
It's expensive.

Alicia Hamilton 1:52:44
Friendly's for.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:52:46
A family of 40, it's like you still.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:52:48
Get like, I was gonna say, it was like 50. What's going on with their lives?

Alicia Hamilton 1:52:50
What's that?

Jennifer Hathaway 1:52:50
Do you still get that ice cream?

Tyler Zeisloft 1:52:52
Yeah.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:52:52
Yeah, the kids.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:52:53
Get with the kids. Yeah, but to that point, I was the most devastated when they closed the Friendly's on Main Street.

Alicia Hamilton 1:53:02
Yeah.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:53:03
Because I went to Bel Air Middle School, and after our dances, we would go there and take it over.

Alicia Hamilton 1:53:09
Yeah.

Rich Bennett 1:53:09
And that's where you got your second kiss?

Tyler Zeisloft 1:53:12
Yeah, Probably.

Alicia Hamilton 1:53:13
Exactly. At least 11.

I should go.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:53:20
To the doctors. I'll remember the house.

So. Like it?

Tyler Zeisloft 1:53:29
Yeah, right, exactly. But, yeah, I remember when they closed down, I was like, No, no, no, no, no. That's, that's part of the childhood part and don't touch that. But yeah, so now there is still one in the mall.

Rich Bennett 1:53:40
So it kills me now when you see them tear down the old historic and everything. Mm. Put it up, put it on the list.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:53:49
So Yeah. And I think it's not just the mall that I or we miss, I think it's, it's human interaction, it's, you know, like I feel like now if we see somebody from that we knew ten years ago in the mall, we're like, oh shit And then we like a long time.

Alicia Hamilton 1:54:07
Before.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:54:09
That was your time of year where you were looking forward to hopefully running into the person that you had.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:54:14
Not seen in.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:54:14
So long.

Alicia Hamilton 1:54:15
Yeah.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:54:15
Yeah. Now we like look away.

Rich Bennett 1:54:18
Do you think of a place here?

Jennifer Hathaway 1:54:19
Julia, I.

Julia Chang 1:54:19
Okay, so I'm going in the opposite direction. It's not a place. It's an event. And back last year, the Soapbox derby, my son was asked to be a driver by Deer Creek exteriors. So that was just really cool because I, you know, you see, you grow up watching like the Rascals, and there was like the remake of it. And it's just one of those old school things that come that has come back. It just feels good to be a part of.

Rich Bennett 1:54:45
We used to have one here in Japantown a long.

Alicia Hamilton 1:54:48
Long time ago, where I.

Rich Bennett 1:54:51
Want to say Kings.

Alicia Hamilton 1:54:53
Hill is perfect.

Rich Bennett 1:54:54
I think so. I, I it was a long time ago. And then when I saw Bill Airlines come out, bring this back, it's like, sweet and they're not cheap to make.

Alicia Hamilton 1:55:04
Yeah, I know. They're all.

Julia Chang 1:55:06
Nice and fancy wrapping.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:55:08
And I was just on Fox 45 yesterday with one of the board members down there. I know one of the businesses that were put in their car and he said, you only have to make it once. Obviously, you had to make adjustments every day. So it cost about 1500 dollars.

Alicia Hamilton 1:55:22
Yeah. Yeah.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:55:24
I was like kind of listening to it as I was working. But that's really cool.

Rich Bennett 1:55:29
I went to a few years ago my great nephew went to his scout troop, had the Pinewood derby thing. You guys, the little ones. Oh, my God. Those things have changed a lot, too. I mean, I mean, you still got to buy the kids. You can't have them. Because I remember as a kid, which, you.

Julia Chang 1:55:49
Know, we.

Alicia Hamilton 1:55:49
Did it.

Rich Bennett 1:55:49
We put it weighted.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:55:50
Washers.

Rich Bennett 1:55:51
But the tracks alone I mean, now they're everything's on a computer, you know, it's like I was amazed that I missed those days when I was a.

Alicia Hamilton 1:56:01
Kid doing Richland.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:56:02
Ballroom. Yeah.

Alicia Hamilton 1:56:03
Oh, that's really just.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:56:06
Yeah, that's still very for long hours.

Julia Chang 1:56:09
It was a little fresh for.

Derek Pentz 1:56:10
Well, this might date me, but, like, do you remember? Like, this was, like, 15 years in middle school. These have a bash for, like, emo. Kids could go and they would play, like, emo.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:56:19
Music, which let them.

Derek Pentz 1:56:20
Know this was in Bel Air somewhere. And it just like, hit me. And I was like, I missed that.

Rich Bennett 1:56:24
Was that the Armory?

Derek Pentz 1:56:26
Yes, I think it was. But they were going like middle school and like, I have like.

Alicia Hamilton 1:56:30
An historical building.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:56:32
They have like a community, like a like, do.

Derek Pentz 1:56:35
They still do.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:56:36
That? I don't know of that specifically, but they do have like a community center for youth, like across the street from Armory.

Derek Pentz 1:56:42
Because this was like specifically for like punk emo kids, like the goth kids and like, we would dress up in like our ridiculous bass and like, go there.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:56:51
I love.

Alicia Hamilton 1:56:52
That.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:56:52
I was a cheerleader. I wasn't invited.

Alicia Hamilton 1:56:54
But I right now I'm fine.

Derek Pentz 1:56:56
I'm like, I have it because I came across my MySpace the other day and I got stuff from that and I was like, Wait a minute.

Alicia Hamilton 1:57:02
I.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:57:03
Have to be a club user. Oh, oh, oh.

Alicia Hamilton 1:57:09
Support me.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:57:12
No, most music, I.

Rich Bennett 1:57:14
Go.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:57:14
I did it every.

Alicia Hamilton 1:57:15
Friday and Saturday. It was like a club. It was like, Oh, I want to get picked.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:57:20
Up and go on. Your is only one of my. We were definitely teenagers and we would go, Yeah, my grandfather. Why do you smell like cigarettes? I don't know.

Alicia Hamilton 1:57:27
Just other people.

Yeah, but you could smoke in there. Yeah. Yeah.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:57:33
And then.

Rich Bennett 1:57:35
I remember the, what.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:57:37
They at some point it was the port. And during that era of my life I would get off of. Of work late night and there was a deejay there and we had a little dance crew and it was a lot of.

Alicia Hamilton 1:57:50
Fun and I never would have been, you know, and I guess it's just.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:57:56
Most.

Alicia Hamilton 1:57:56
Okay.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:57:57
Because then I did it. And most evenings from like

1996 to 2000.

Alicia Hamilton 1:58:05
Oh, yeah, we were definitely there at that time. When you heard in the.

Rich Bennett 1:58:08
Clubs.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:58:09
When I was 15, my dad was.

Rich Bennett 1:58:11
Here with.

Tyler Zeisloft 1:58:11
Oh, so that would have been, Oh God, don't make me do this 1996 or 1996.

Alicia Hamilton 1:58:20
You know. So yeah.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:58:23
I missed the jump, jump swim.

Rich Bennett 1:58:24
I was just going to that. Here's the funny thing about job. Well, this is fun. So the job test Swim Club, which is a pool that's no longer there they're supposed to got it bought, is supposedly put in in senior living apartments. That room down there which we call the pool room where we all used to hang out. And because I remember my brother and another guy stole a dumpster to put that in there because the cops were complaining about all the beer bottles that so

it's like, who said that? The cycle of life. So we used to hang at them every swim in there. And now they're going to be putting in senior living in apartments, I guess, you know.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:59:08
Oh my, God.

Alicia Hamilton 1:59:10
Yeah.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:59:10
That's so.

Alicia Hamilton 1:59:11
Funny.

Rich Bennett 1:59:12
Oh, no. I just.

Alicia Hamilton 1:59:12
Think there.

Rich Bennett 1:59:13
Is now close to.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:59:16
Oh, yeah, they didn't reopen. Oh, man there's just so much opportunity over there right on the water.

Rich Bennett 1:59:23
There's so much that One of the things I love about Bella, the Bella Armory behind at the Villa Marketplace, there's Incubator stores. I would love to see some type of law passed where all the people that own these shopping centers that have empty stores have to do that tournament, the incubator stores. That's going to help small local businesses start all Mm. And thrive.

Alicia Hamilton 1:59:48
Yeah, I know.

Jennifer Hathaway 1:59:49
So I can't get over all of the warehouses that have been built and have been sitting empty for a year. Oh yeah. I just can't wrap my head around. I will never understand that kind of money that where they can just have these huge warehouses built.

Alicia Hamilton 2:00:03
Because they.

Rich Bennett 2:00:04
Followed Field of Dreams. They figured if they would build it, they would.

Jennifer Hathaway 2:00:07
They will come.

Rich Bennett 2:00:08
That's not the case. Yeah. With I hate to say it, but with a lot of the laws that were changed here in Harford County, not half can be built in Maryland alone. A lot of businesses don't want to come in here now.

Jennifer Hathaway 2:00:20
It's hard. It is hard to be. A small business is very expensive. It's expensive. You have I feel like every time I turn around, it's, oh, this is do oh, this is do and this is do it for the state of Maryland. We have two businesses. I have my photography business, and then my husband has a water proofing company. So it's like, oh, but yeah, and the other this is now I, this is a corporate place, but I miss the job at town. Pizza Hut. That was all like our, like my Wal mart.

Alicia Hamilton 2:00:51
Yeah.

Rich Bennett 2:00:52
Do you remember what it was before the Pizza Hut? I don't said before it was Pizza Hut. Doctor Rutherford had put the restaurant there and his wife ran. It was Townhouse Restaurant. Then they got a liquor license and I believe the bar area was called the cake. If I'm wrong, somebody told me that.

Jennifer Hathaway 2:01:13
My dad would probably also remember.

Rich Bennett 2:01:15
Yeah,

that was that was a fun place to go to. And that's when Epstein's was still there. And and I think C Mart know when Epstein's was sold. Then it was Kmart that went in there and see Mart. Now it's the flea market. But we have movie theaters down there.

Jennifer Hathaway 2:01:33
I remember when Kmart was there and the guy with the Get your pizza, the O the pizza Pizza, he would stand outside. Yeah, he would actually stand outside for the high.

Rich Bennett 2:01:43
You know what else I miss? Home Depot used to have hotdog vendors.

Alicia Hamilton 2:01:47
Yeah. What happened to that? I used to go. My dad don't know how to behave.

Tyler Zeisloft 2:01:54
Like there used to be a man on Main Street in Bel Air to outside the courthouse. They used to sit there every day. Yeah, like. And, you know, police and business people would just. You'd go to the hot dog guy.

Jennifer Hathaway 2:02:07
Time when I was with my dad and I'm like, where's the food? Like, that's.

Alicia Hamilton 2:02:11
Yeah, yeah, I guess he was the original food truck, right? The hot dog. Yeah.

Rich Bennett 2:02:16
Yeah. Which I'm surprised they don't put food trucks.

Jennifer Hathaway 2:02:18
I know. That's great. That would be a great place. Yes. And I think we need to get some food trucks lined up at Home Depot. Yeah, Especially we're all in our d y era, so let's a Yeah, yeah. You can go to Home Depot, hit up a food truck. I mean, I have those food truck nights, like at the firehouse. A lot of them have.

Alicia Hamilton 2:02:36
The there.

Jennifer Hathaway 2:02:37
Should be like a daily, like place to like they're just there. Yes. And that is how to bring people to other businesses that like a shopping center needs a little love lane.

Tyler Zeisloft 2:02:48
And so forth and does volunteer fire company once a month or once a week, sometimes once a week. I think it's the.

Jennifer Hathaway 2:02:57
Most of them. Do it once a week. Yeah. Yeah. I think Darlene calls on Tuesday. Tuesday nights.

Alicia Hamilton 2:03:02
Yeah.

Rich Bennett 2:03:02
Well that's why all these festivals we're doing. We need to get start getting the food trucks in there.

Tyler Zeisloft 2:03:09
I just have a hard time justifying like $16 for a gourmet pizza that's like four slices.

Jennifer Hathaway 2:03:14
Well, maybe if they get busier, they're doing more things during the week, then that will help bring because, you know, if they having to charge so much because they're only able to park their truck, you know, eight times a month, maybe we can like up that number. Yeah.

Rich Bennett 2:03:28
Well, I was going to say, the thing is, you look at the price of gas now, you look at the price of how long wait to buy a a box family size box of macaroni and cheese the other day. Mm.

Alicia Hamilton 2:03:40
I know.

Rich Bennett 2:03:41
I'm like my family can starve. Forget that. I mean, I doubt you're going to pay that for state.

Tyler Zeisloft 2:03:47
She can make it for you even though she knows how to make Mac.

Jennifer Hathaway 2:03:50
I am.

Rich Bennett 2:03:51
Well, yeah. Yeah. You don't break you don't break the rules you don't break the elbow. Noodles half.

Alicia Hamilton 2:03:56
Do you.

Jennifer Hathaway 2:03:56
Know? I do not. But I will say like there's nothing like when you, you know, when your child comes home with the all about mom for Mother's Day and and says you know what is their favorite thing your mom makes? And it says Hamburger Helper.

Alicia Hamilton 2:04:08
And I hey.

Tyler Zeisloft 2:04:09
Hey £1, £1.

Alicia Hamilton 2:04:10
One happy family. Yeah.

Jennifer Hathaway 2:04:14
My husband is definitely the in the family. Oh I've got.

Rich Bennett 2:04:19
All that now. Does anybody have.

Alicia Hamilton 2:04:21
Anything.

Jennifer Hathaway 2:04:22
To say.

Alicia Hamilton 2:04:24
Yeah. I mean there's.

Julia Chang 2:04:26
Lot to do. A lot to see.
