Together, we shared laughs, tears and moments that truly matter. So I want to thank you for being part of this journey. Let's make the next ten years even better. Coming to you from the Freedom Federal Credit Union Studios. Harford County Living presents conversations with Rich Bennett.

Today, I'm going to get kind.

No, no, no. The truth is.

Rich Bennett 1:01
I had the pleasure of meeting this young lady on the other podcast for the Harvard County Chamber of Commerce Business beat virtually. I think this is the first time we met in person, isn't it?

Tammie Wingrove 1:13
I think so.

Rich Bennett 1:14
That we know of.

Tammie Wingrove 1:15
Yeah. Probably be a. Networking thing.

Rich Bennett 1:17
That we know of.

Tammie Wingrove 1:17
Yeah.

Rich Bennett 1:18
So I have I have Tammy Wingrove, and she has a business that is

I think is pretty damn cool. Full circle ball ads, charcuterie boards.

Soldier I got to get her on because it's she doesn't just put the charcuterie boards together. You make them

cart.

Tammie Wingrove 1:41
We do. And I built the cart.

Rich Bennett 1:44
You're teaching classes now and. Oh, so anyways, yeah we this is going to be fun and go figure we're recording at lunch time which you do to brings charcuterie boards and.

While I'm on a diet. But sometimes you got to cheat. So. Hey, do a TV.

Tammie Wingrove 2:01
I'm doing great. Having me on. And for the record, there are a lot of healthy choices on the show.

Rich Bennett 2:07
Oh! Oh,

Tammie Wingrove 2:08
Keyboard. I have snap peas. We have fruit.

Rich Bennett 2:11
God. Oh.

Tammie Wingrove 2:12
I mean, there's a little bit of chocolate on there, too, which may I say, is delicious. But see, you made a healthy choice right there.

Rich Bennett 2:20
Oh, there.

Tammie Wingrove 2:22
Oh, yeah. We've got red.

Rich Bennett 2:23
Oh, my God.

Tammie Wingrove 2:24
Cranberry Sea charcuterie is great because.

Rich Bennett 2:27
I started this diet. I've been freezing them.

Tammie Wingrove 2:29
Oh, they're wonderful.

Rich Bennett 2:30
Oh, my.

Tammie Wingrove 2:32
There you go.

Rich Bennett 2:32
big fan of them. They.

Tammie Wingrove 2:33
Well, now you have a bunch of red grapes. Two bunches of red grapes.

Rich Bennett 2:37
All right. So why did why did you decide? Well, what before you started for circuit boards? What were you doing?

Tammie Wingrove 2:44
I was making charcuterie boards for friends and family and so.

Rich Bennett 2:48
How long you been doing this business? Before you started the business.

Tammie Wingrove 2:51
Before I started the business, I was sitting at home, locked down during 2020, scrolling on Instagram or one of the social media channels, and I saw people putting together all of my favourite foods onto these boards and making them look spectacular. And I thought, Well, I love cheese and I love meat. Probably try this. So off I went to the store to buy some of my favorite things, which were cheese and meat and fruits and veggies. And, you know, I put my first one together and I took a picture and I sent it to my friends. And now I love to look back at the first picture because it was rough, but it was a learning process. And I thought, this is this is really fun. And cheese is my favorite food when I got married.

Rich Bennett 3:38
And I have to take a bite out.

Tammie Wingrove 3:40
Yeah, you got to try. So that's a dill havarti.

Rich Bennett 3:43
What?

Tammie Wingrove 3:43
Advil have already.

Rich Bennett 3:45
I take it he's got doing.

Tammie Wingrove 3:46
It does. It does if

Rich Bennett 3:47
What's

Tammie Wingrove 3:47
you.

Rich Bennett 3:48
havarti?

Tammie Wingrove 3:48
Havarti. It's nice creamy cheese. I call it everyone's best friend because generally havarti is very agreeable. If it's not, it's not too sharp. It's a nice it's a nice easy one. I like to have havarti on our cart. People will come up and say, You don't know what I like. And I tell them, try the havarti. It it's very agreeable.

Rich Bennett 4:08
Oh, God, That is good.

Tammie Wingrove 4:09
It's a good one.

Rich Bennett 4:10
Oh, probably. Good. Good for,

guess, a red wine.

Tammie Wingrove 4:16
It could. I like to put. So sometimes we'll put cucumbers on our boards with the dill havarti and tell them match it together. And then you kind of have a pickle

Rich Bennett 4:26
Oh, that's a good idea. Okay, so I'm sorry. Go back to where Mr. Comey is when you started

Tammie Wingrove 4:32
covered

Rich Bennett 4:32
designing.

Tammie Wingrove 4:33
in. Is when I started designing them, I suppose.

Rich Bennett 4:35
Four years.

Tammie Wingrove 4:36
Technically, I did my first one for my wedding without knowing what I was doing, because I said to my husband, who very much loves desserts and sweets, and when we were getting ready to plan our our wedding cake, I said, I know that you love desserts and sweets. Have a wonderful idea. Let's not have a wedding cake. Let's have a cheese, all cake. And so I went to the Wegmans right up the street, and I talked to the ladies at the cheese counter. And I said, Here's my vision. I want all of the cheeses that I love, and I'm going to stack them up and I'm going to cascade grapes down. And they said, Honey, that's a lot of cheese. I don't know that you want to do that. And I told them, You have never met me.

I love cheese. In fact, when the world shut down, the thing I was most afraid of was that I would not be able to get my favorite cheese. So I went online and I ordered £15 of it.

Rich Bennett 5:33
Oh, my God.

Tammie Wingrove 5:34
And I made sure that I had enough to get me through however long the world was going to be shut down for. So I said to them, This was pre-COVID. It's okay. I know what I'm doing. I just want to know, can I order this much cheese? And you can, but you have to be escorted to the counter and then pay for it so that so that the people at Wegmans know that you actually know what you're buying and that you're. You're letting.

Rich Bennett 6:00
You're for real and not

Tammie Wingrove 6:02
You're legit buying this. I'm not trying to walk out of here with £57 of cheese, so.

Rich Bennett 6:07
why.

Tammie Wingrove 6:07
Yeah, so.

Rich Bennett 6:07
And this was. So you got married before you

Tammie Wingrove 6:09
I got married before COVID, so unknowingly I was already. That's a Theresa. I really love that one.

Rich Bennett 6:16
got.

Tammie Wingrove 6:16
It's not spicy. That's probably my favorite thing on the board right now.

Rich Bennett 6:20
Yes. As you're all listening and I'm sitting here eating the stuff she brought in, ruining my diet, probably. But that's okay.

Tammie Wingrove 6:26
It's okay. It's just little portions. Little portions. So. So I did my. My cheese wedding cake and my husband in. In fairness, he did get his desserts. We had pies. And so we had cake and pie and everyone was happy and we had a little thing at the top that said, Say cheese and.

Rich Bennett 6:45
Did you take a pill? Please tell me you got pictures of the.

Tammie Wingrove 6:47
Oh, yes. Oh, yes. I have a picture of.

Rich Bennett 6:48
You got to send that to me so I could put it in the show notes.

Tammie Wingrove 6:52
I will definitely send it to you. It was beautiful and I didn't tell a lot of people. So when they got there, there we had we had gotten married the night before and a little just a family ceremony at a restaurant. And then the next day we just had a huge party at my parents house and just intense. And it was a it was just a backyard barbecue with an ice luge and my and my cheese wheel cake.

Rich Bennett 7:13
How did that work out when you both cut the cake? Because you really came smashing in each other's face and.

Tammie Wingrove 7:19
Yeah.

Rich Bennett 7:19
Very, I guess.

Tammie Wingrove 7:21
You know, I that's we had a very not traditional wedding. It was just a big party.

Rich Bennett 7:26
Part of the.

Tammie Wingrove 7:27
It was a big party. We had karaoke. We. It was all I. All I wanted for my wedding was a.

Rich Bennett 7:34
The cheese wheel.

Tammie Wingrove 7:36
Was that I had said I wanted a moon bounce, but I have broken my ankle in a moon bounce. So we had to table that so that I didn't.

Rich Bennett 7:43
I. You may hold up, Tammy. So you went to the moon bands, but not for the kids. For you.

Tammie Wingrove 7:50
Oh, I.

Rich Bennett 7:50
Got it.

Tammie Wingrove 7:51
I wanted a moon bounce. I wanted a beer truck, and I wanted karaoke. So we tabled the moon bounce because that seemed very unsafe. And we traded the beer truck for an ice or a snowball snowball.

Rich Bennett 8:06
Like Conor. I sort

Tammie Wingrove 8:06
You

Rich Bennett 8:06
of.

Tammie Wingrove 8:07
have a nice. And I still have my karaoke, so it was fine. And we have plenty of plenty of beer. And also we.

Rich Bennett 8:13
Sounds like it would be fun.

Tammie Wingrove 8:14
We're one of the big ice loses. So we.

Rich Bennett 8:18
God,

Tammie Wingrove 8:19
Yes. Which we we actually pre-COVID we were ice lyrics champs. We had built our own ice luge stand with a built in bar. We were legit. Oh, yes. Oh, I'll send you a picture of that, too. It was very I could easily grab whatever. I was always bartending from up there.

Rich Bennett 8:37
I got to admit, because we used to do Lou ALS and everything and a lot of the stuff we did, the motorcycle club, we always had ice luge. I'd never seen one. And I did eight weddings for a long time. Never seen an ice luge at a wedding.

Tammie Wingrove 8:54
party. We just we love to bring people together. We like to have it

Rich Bennett 8:57
lot of weddings are strictly parties, but to me, I've never seen a I've never seen a cheesecake cheat in a cheese wheel wedding cake, which I think is awesome. of a lot of the wedding cakes now, which are just cupcakes.

Tammie Wingrove 9:12
Exactly. Yup. But no, this was just wheels of cheese. Chunks of chunks of wheels of cheese that I picked my favorite flavors and we. We put them all together. It was. It was a great time.

Rich Bennett 9:25
So don't then encourage. You're going to try to make your own charcuterie. Charcuterie board, man. And you took pictures, you sent that out. But what made you decide to turn this into a business? And when did you start it as a business?

Tammie Wingrove 9:42
Probably so. I'm so glad you like it. We. So that guy is a dark, tall, dark top. this out. A dark chocolate toffee pretzel.

So what we try to do is, you know, we sell things that you can get from the grocery store, right? Like, this is not complicated stuff, but we try to pick specific treasures that you can't just go to the grocery store and find. So that chocolate is from a small chocolatier that we work with. And she we have we have this little chocolate run for it to get to us. And so it's little treasures. And our pretzels that we have are also they're just they're little treasures that.

Rich Bennett 10:29
You're not eating anything. Why am I the only one eating?

Tammie Wingrove 10:32
I mean, I can. I wanted you to be able to share. So, you know, you. You help yourself.

Rich Bennett 10:38
Oh, my.

Tammie Wingrove 10:39
That's a good it's a good chocolate. She does a wonderful job. But it's the same thing with our breads and our pretzels, and we love to support small businesses. So while yes, of course, the meats and some of the cheeses are are from the the big company is supporting small supporting local for some of the cheeses and the other things just to find those little treasures to make it something special because yeah, you can go to the store and buy some salami and some cheese and throw it down on on a board.

Rich Bennett 11:11
And the thing is, me, when you're putting it besides making the boards first, the physical board.

He's putting all the cheese and everything on. There is an art. How long? Cause you're making like, rose, you know, flowers. How long did it take you to learn it?

Tammie Wingrove 11:32
So I have really raging ADHD, which means I have that like single minded to the point

Rich Bennett 11:38
Mm.

Tammie Wingrove 11:38
of destruction, hyper focus. And so it would take, okay, I'm going to watch this video and then I'm going to think about it all night long and by the morning I'm ready to try it. So not a long amount of time because of the hyperfocus on,

Rich Bennett 11:53
Right.

Tammie Wingrove 11:54
I am going to conquer this. I'm going to conquer how to do the the for the prosciutto where you do the ribbon of prosciutto. So lots of hyperfocus time and practice and then feeding to my friends and so many years of can you bring a board, can

Rich Bennett 12:13
Right.

Tammie Wingrove 12:14
you do this and doing it for free and then answering the question of when will you start a business? And I'm not going to start a business. I don't know that seems like a lot of lot of legal work and insurance and things. And so I my friend who I do this with, she we went away on a much needed girls weekend that had actually been postponed for ten months nine months due to my children getting the stomach bug, which they

Rich Bennett 12:40
Oh.

Tammie Wingrove 12:40
love to do at.

Rich Bennett 12:42
It was not for me. The charcuterie.

Tammie Wingrove 12:44
It was definitely not. It was definitely not. So we had we had postponed it, and it was last September of 23. We went away for this weekend. And and I was telling her, it's really on my heart that I want to try give this a go. And my friend is such a Bethenny, my business partner. She is such a talented artist. She's an art teacher. And she had had the same feeling on her heart. And we thought, let's let's actually do this together and bring your your love for art. And my love for Chai is together because this is it is art and it's beautiful. And we can help to bring people together. And we talked about how, you know, COVID really separated people. But every time I bring a charcuterie board to a party, all of a sudden strangers go, Exactly. They go from strangers to friends because they talk about, oh, you know, oh, what is this? And I like this together. And they become little scientists trying to pair things up. And all of a sudden the walls come down. And watching that happen is really cool. And I love even when we teach classes, it's great when people are sitting at a table and they don't know each other, but they're going to take my charcuterie class and by the end everyone's helping each other and they're there talking to each other and.

Rich Bennett 14:08
Make it friends.

Tammie Wingrove 14:08
They're making friends and it's something that they we have a little bit broken since

Rich Bennett 14:13
Yeah.

Tammie Wingrove 14:14
since 2020. So I think that it helps to to bring people together. That's the name of our our company full circle boards so.

Rich Bennett 14:21
So was how long's Bethany been making?

Tammie Wingrove 14:24
Bethany. Bethany came along quickly. I showed her a lot of the techniques that I knew and.

Rich Bennett 14:30
You guys have been friends for a long time.

Tammie Wingrove 14:32
Oh, since high school.

Rich Bennett 14:33
Oh, okay.

Tammie Wingrove 14:34
Yeah. Yeah, we met at summer camp, and so she I had actually I've helped her over the years when she's having a party. Can you come and

Rich Bennett 14:41
Right.

Tammie Wingrove 14:41
help me with this? And in fact, shortly about six months before we actually started the business her daughter was having was going to prom. And I think we had like 48 hours notice and she said, Hey, Dad said that we could have the after party here at the house. So do you mind or the after after prom party? And so she sent me a message and it was the Esso. Esso, can you. Of course, my husband said that only the moms get dumped with this, So.

Rich Bennett 15:12
Yeah. Dad's not even home.

Tammie Wingrove 15:15
And so I said, I'll be over. It's okay. We'll get it all figured out. And so we were making charcuterie boards for these high school students and getting things together. So it's funny how that was so foreshadowing of where we would be six months down the road and we didn't even realize it.

Rich Bennett 15:31
Why?

Tammie Wingrove 15:31
So yeah.

Rich Bennett 15:32
So how many have you set up for any weddings

Tammie Wingrove 15:36
We have

Rich Bennett 15:36
have?

Tammie Wingrove 15:37
we have done some weddings. We just did the the Harford County Public Library's gala back

Rich Bennett 15:43
Oh,

Tammie Wingrove 15:44
in

Rich Bennett 15:44
yeah.

Tammie Wingrove 15:44
October. That that was a great challenge. That was a 650 person event. And rather than our traditional sweet and savory charcuterie, they challenged us a bit and asked if we could do dessert charcuterie. So we included

Rich Bennett 15:57
Oh.

Tammie Wingrove 15:58
some cheeses, but really went down the route of giving the idea of charcuterie, but with different or a grazing table, but with different desserts. So that was fun.

Rich Bennett 16:10
I mean with charcuterie, isn't it? We may have talked about this on the other podcast. people think it's just cheese and meats, but you can basically put anything on a charcuterie board, can't you?

Tammie Wingrove 16:23
And everybody calls that. Yeah. Everybody uses the word charcuterie and and so.

Rich Bennett 16:28
What does charcuterie, actually.

Tammie Wingrove 16:29
It's it's really the the root of it, the cheeses and the meats. But now it's a charcuterie board. And we even said dessert charcuterie. But we can have we had some cheese but no meat on there. So more of a grey, as some people will say, it's a grazing board or a grazing table, but it's whatever you want to call it as long as you like it and you think it's delicious.

Rich Bennett 16:47
Frickin desert board.

Tammie Wingrove 16:50
It's dinner. It's whatever.

Rich Bennett 16:52
Yeah.

Tammie Wingrove 16:52
So.

Rich Bennett 16:52
Wow. But you now is the physical board. You actually make them yourself as well. Right.

Tammie Wingrove 17:00
We we don't make

Rich Bennett 17:01
Or was it

Tammie Wingrove 17:02
the

Rich Bennett 17:02
just a cart?

Tammie Wingrove 17:02
we I made the cart. The cart is what I made so forever thankful for a father who was a carpenter by trade and taught us how to use tools and do everything. My dad didn't have any sons, but he had two daughters who he made sure knew how to do anything. Anyone should know how.

Rich Bennett 17:22
Right.

Tammie Wingrove 17:23
So he actually passed in January and the cart wasn't born until like March, April. April is when we launched and I had seen something online of somebody doing this card. And I thought, Oh my goodness, this is a great way to get us out. Spread the word of what we're doing, because you can sit at home or in our kitchen and you can put up pictures of pretty boards, but it only reaches so many people. But if we can be out there and we can be building these boards live for you to come up at a brewery or a different festival, then you have eyes on us and what we're doing. And so I sent a message to Bethany probably at like 4:00 in the morning, we have an agreement now, I think I'm not supposed to passenger before six or 7:00.

Rich Bennett 18:11
It's a hydra. That's a hard habit to break.

Tammie Wingrove 18:13
It's really hard. And

Rich Bennett 18:15
And

Tammie Wingrove 18:15
I'm

Rich Bennett 18:15
I'm really.

Tammie Wingrove 18:15
really sorry to all of the people who I know I do it to. I try I try so hard to check the time and think not everybody.

Rich Bennett 18:24
My thing is, if I'm awake, I figure everybody else is awake.

Tammie Wingrove 18:27
Exactly. My brain is on your brain. This is important. Get on this thought train right now.

Rich Bennett 18:32
I blame my my sister and brothers because when it came, whoever birthday was, we always. This is after we all moved out. We always made it a point

Tammie Wingrove 18:43
Point.

Rich Bennett 18:44
to try to be the first one to call whoever's birthday. It was it'd be 435, but it doesn't matter. So I blame them.

Tammie Wingrove 18:51
One. Absolutely.

Rich Bennett 18:52
I'm sorry. Go ahead.

Tammie Wingrove 18:53
My my sister and I sort of do the same thing. If it's 1201, we're like, Happy birthday. It's your birthday.

Rich Bennett 18:58
To.

Tammie Wingrove 18:58
You have to you want to be the one to do it. So, yeah, that's. Yeah, that's prosciutto.

Rich Bennett 19:05
Prosciutto.

Tammie Wingrove 19:06
Utah. Yeah, it's a nice chunk.

Rich Bennett 19:11
So the cart.

Tammie Wingrove 19:12
So we built the cart. So I sent I sent a message to her and I said, I think that this would be a really wonderful idea. And she said, okay, well, let's, you know, get some more money. And I said, Actually, no. I think it's a really good idea. We need to do this. We're going to I'm going to do it this week. And is.

Rich Bennett 19:28
Oh, wow.

Tammie Wingrove 19:29
I don't want to wait. So. So sometimes I just charge forward. And this one has paid off in spades. And thankfully, I have a very patient husband and father in law. They came down, supervised by I used the jigsaw puzzle. And yeah, we we went to Home Depot. We picked out the plywood and everything.

Rich Bennett 19:49
How big is this thing?

Tammie Wingrove 19:50
It's about four feet long, two and a half feet wide. And it but it breaks down and it fits in the back of my truck.

Rich Bennett 19:58
Really?

Tammie Wingrove 19:58
Sure does. It's.

Rich Bennett 20:00
You built this all yourself.

Tammie Wingrove 20:01
Well with my father in law, and my husband

Rich Bennett 20:03
But

Tammie Wingrove 20:03
helped too.

Rich Bennett 20:04
still,

Tammie Wingrove 20:04
But

Rich Bennett 20:04
I mean,

Tammie Wingrove 20:04
yes,

Rich Bennett 20:04
it was

Tammie Wingrove 20:05
at

Rich Bennett 20:05
your plan.

Tammie Wingrove 20:05
it was we. Yeah. My father in law, he he we we put our heads together. We watched a few different videos and he said, well, let's do this. And so we kind of drew up the plan and we went to Home Depot and things I didn't know that Home Depot could do is they can cut the plywood for you. Again, my dad was a carpenter, so we were snapping the chalk line and he was using the sole. And I said to my mom, all of those years, Dad never told me we could just walk over here and they cut it for you.

Rich Bennett 20:36
things they will cut. Not all things.

Tammie Wingrove 20:37
And that's my father in law said some things, some things if it's too small. But so they cut it. And then we took back and we put everything together with the nail gun and the wood glue and we put the wheels on it. It was it was very satisfying.

Rich Bennett 20:52
So what you do for down flight and go in your truck,

Tammie Wingrove 20:54
Yeah, it has channels in it that it all hooks it, you know, snaps

Rich Bennett 20:58
Right.

Tammie Wingrove 20:58
into and so it all, it comes out flat and it just stands up flat and all the pieces and I use my handy Dandy Bundy bungee cords and it straps everything in and off we go.

Rich Bennett 21:11
Well, I can see you taking this one step further and even hooking it up to like You ever see the the ice cream bikes? It's got the big.

Tammie Wingrove 21:19
I.

Rich Bennett 21:20
I've already all of that.

Tammie Wingrove 21:21
Oh, I have. Oh, I have. Oh, believe me, I have. There have been many thoughts about that of. Can I do that? Does that make me a food truck? Because it's propelled.

Rich Bennett 21:33
Oh.

Tammie Wingrove 21:34
I don't know. But technically mine is propelled because I push it. I don't know. Things that I.

Rich Bennett 21:39
Think of. It's propelled by gas.

Tammie Wingrove 21:40
Okay. Not. Not bipedal.

Rich Bennett 21:42
Yeah,

Tammie Wingrove 21:42
Yeah.

Rich Bennett 21:42
I don't think I.

Tammie Wingrove 21:43
Not not to say that. I don't know. Right. Things that I will be calling one day. I'll have to call my friends again at the. At

Rich Bennett 21:50
Health

Tammie Wingrove 21:50
the health

Rich Bennett 21:50
Department.

Tammie Wingrove 21:50
department. He would be very, very patient with me and all of my overanalyzing questions. And what Jeff said, I was so happy the first time that they did an inspection for us. And even though the Baltimore County Health Department, they said, Why are you so excited for this? I said, I really like to get A's.

Rich Bennett 22:10
What

Tammie Wingrove 22:10
Can you?

Rich Bennett 22:10
are they inspecting?

Tammie Wingrove 22:11
Just when they come out, when we have set up at different festivals. So they want to check

Rich Bennett 22:15
Oh, they have

Tammie Wingrove 22:16
pictures.

Rich Bennett 22:16
to come to each time, he says.

Tammie Wingrove 22:17
Not not every time, but they can come up at any time. So they they've come out for different things, and particularly the bigger festivals. When we set up at the the Town and Town Spring Festival, they come out because there's so many food trucks and so many food vendors. So they they just check it. I was so excited for them to come over and I said, Here are all of my things. So.

Rich Bennett 22:40
There were. Do you make all this stuff at home?

Tammie Wingrove 22:43
No, we. We rent a commercial kitchen space at Ramsay Towers. The.

Rich Bennett 22:48
Oh, the hive.

Tammie Wingrove 22:49
See you at the hive. Yep.

Rich Bennett 22:50

Tammie Wingrove 22:50
We.

Rich Bennett 22:50
didn't realize that you go there to make a more.

Tammie Wingrove 22:53
Yeah, We go there, we prep everything.

Rich Bennett 22:55
Commercial kitchen one.

Tammie Wingrove 22:56
Yeah, because it's perishable stuff. So we.

Rich Bennett 22:59
Is food.

Tammie Wingrove 23:00
Yeah, exactly. So we work out of there and and it's wonderful because it's the hive. So it's several different small businesses working together. So, you know, we do charcuterie and other ones do more hearty the, the full meals and then there's super talented dessert girls that are there. And when we all come together, it's truly a living hive.

Rich Bennett 23:26
Wait a minute. All that's at the high.

Tammie Wingrove 23:28
At the hive. At the hive? Yeah. It's wonderful.

Rich Bennett 23:31
Right. You have to. Who's who runs it again?

Tammie Wingrove 23:34
Britney.

Rich Bennett 23:35
Britney, You have to tell her to contact me. I need to get her on.

Tammie Wingrove 23:38
Oh, absolutely. Oh, yeah. And now she has a venue upstairs. They've taken over. It's called the Honey Loft Suite. So they're having.

Rich Bennett 23:46
Because half Harborside moved out.

Tammie Wingrove 23:48
They did so. So now they have the honey loft and it's beautiful. And they're doing there's actually a wedding there this weekend. But all kinds of things we've.

Rich Bennett 23:58
Jamie, how big is the venue?

Tammie Wingrove 24:00
It's not a large venue. It's for something a little bit smaller. I think the wedding is 50 people, but they're trying to work to to kind of to grow it. But it's wonderful. They had a baby shower. They've done all kinds of events, so.

Rich Bennett 24:14
I didn't realize

Tammie Wingrove 24:15
It's.

Rich Bennett 24:15
it. That's stuff there.

Tammie Wingrove 24:16
Right in your backyard.

Rich Bennett 24:17
I know.

Tammie Wingrove 24:18
Yeah, they're

Rich Bennett 24:18

Tammie Wingrove 24:18
doing

Rich Bennett 24:19
was just.

Tammie Wingrove 24:19
a great job.

Rich Bennett 24:19
From their side.

Tammie Wingrove 24:20
Yeah, they're doing a great job and it's beautiful because you have a view of the water and. Yeah.

Rich Bennett 24:25
Yeah.

Tammie Wingrove 24:27
She'll. You'll have to go over. Well, we'll have you over. She is done. They've done a beautiful job. They have, like, you know, a marble look to the floors and

Rich Bennett 24:34
Yeah.

Tammie Wingrove 24:34
it's so beautifully lit. It's it's really nice. You've done a wonderful job.

Rich Bennett 24:38
Now they don't with them. They don't have a beer wine license. Right.

Tammie Wingrove 24:42
Right. They don't. But you can bring.

Rich Bennett 24:44
Bring it in.

Tammie Wingrove 24:45
For if you have an event, I believe and sir, don't quote me and Britney will probably like don't say that. But I believe that if you're having an event, you can bring it yourself because you've rented the space. But we can't serve you beer in one.

Rich Bennett 24:58
Okay. So the reason I brought that up. Everybody says cheese and wine go hand in hand.

Tammie Wingrove 25:05
They do.

Rich Bennett 25:07
Did you?

So when you're doing these, do people ask you to bring wine to or do you have connections of like local wineries?

Tammie Wingrove 25:17
So some of a lot of times if we're doing an event, they'll provide their wine and we.

Rich Bennett 25:21
Okay.

Tammie Wingrove 25:22
She is. But that is something that we would love to get in with different wineries to be to partner up, because these two things marry so well.

Rich Bennett 25:33
That's what I want to be. Because let's say who's ever hosting you bring the charcuterie board. And the other person said, Don't worry, I'll bring the.

Tammie Wingrove 25:42
Why?

Rich Bennett 25:44
But that why me not pair up well with anything on the charcuterie board again, it's like an art. That's how I was wondering. Like, have you working with Logan? And there's a lot of local wineries. But to find the perfect pairing.

Tammie Wingrove 25:58
I love working on things like that. I love and playing with different pairings because, you know, you can pair some some chocolate with different cheeses and and with the wine and, and it totally changes the flavor. So I think doing something like that would be wonderful just to come up with a flight night or, you know. Yeah. A perfect pairing night where you kind of go down the down the the flight, for lack of a better word. What is it when you have a flight of wine? I can't come up with what it is.

Rich Bennett 26:30
Look, I just found out that they do wine flights at the vineyard. I had no I'd never heard early test flights I heard of were beer.

Tammie Wingrove 26:36
Yeah, but you can. It's the same thing. So

Rich Bennett 26:39

Tammie Wingrove 26:39
why

Rich Bennett 26:39
think.

Tammie Wingrove 26:39
not? Oh, yes. Oh, I love

Rich Bennett 26:41
Yeah,

Tammie Wingrove 26:41
a good.

Rich Bennett 26:42
some. I've heard of ice cream flight.

Tammie Wingrove 26:43
My kids love a good ice cream flight. They feel like they're getting so much more even.

Rich Bennett 26:47
Yeah.

Tammie Wingrove 26:48
A little tablespoon of each. They think that they had five different ice creams. And so I'm like, Well, well, you did.

Rich Bennett 26:55
And the thing is, even though it's wine, cheese and the meats also compare well with certain beers.

Tammie Wingrove 27:04
Lutely.

Rich Bennett 27:05
I mean, real beers, you know, like your IPAs and all that, and even, like, bourbons and rye.

Tammie Wingrove 27:12
Absolutely. There's so many things just to pull different flavors out. So we would anyone who's listening, if you would love to get together and put our heads together to.

Rich Bennett 27:23
How far are you willing to travel?

Tammie Wingrove 27:25
We've we've traveled all over. We've gone down to Annapolis for some weddings, so. Yeah.

Rich Bennett 27:31
Kelvin Abrams If you're listening to this, contact me because I think this would be good. He and he has a he runs a daycare or a doggy daycare. And next door is the it's like a bourbon bar.

Tammie Wingrove 27:47
Oh.

Rich Bennett 27:48
And I think, Oh, my God. Bourbon and coffee bar, something like.

Tammie Wingrove 27:52
Even coffee.

Rich Bennett 27:53
Oh, yeah. Coffee and different teas.

Tammie Wingrove 27:55
Mm hmm. It's delicious. One of my favorite cheeses. It's not on this board is the coffee espresso Round cheese. It's. To bring you some. It's it that obviously was on my wedding cake because it is just fantastic. But.

Rich Bennett 28:10
An espresso.

Tammie Wingrove 28:11
Espresso rind cheese it is. It never lasts long.

Rich Bennett 28:15
All right, back

Tammie Wingrove 28:16
Back

Rich Bennett 28:16
up

Tammie Wingrove 28:16
up

Rich Bennett 28:16
and.

Tammie Wingrove 28:16
a bit.

Rich Bennett 28:17
How in the world did you get so infatuated with cheese? Is that the right word?

Tammie Wingrove 28:23
Say that. I just. I love cheese. I've always.

Rich Bennett 28:26
Going.

Tammie Wingrove 28:26
I've been the weird kid who at a party I don't want. Keep. Keep your cake. I'll go back for some more cheese. That sounds good. It's. You know, it has always been when we would after high school and through college, I would go away with friends to the Outer Banks. And so I would go. And it's such a great time. And we would have our, you know, our house of our friends. And I would go to the store and just come back with cheese, like, I'm going to eat cheese this week because I can buy whatever I want. So I just it's.

Rich Bennett 28:56
Wow.

Tammie Wingrove 28:57
Very good. But then you read some things that maybe cheese has addictive properties. So maybe there there are worse, worse vices out there. Maybe my doctor might say otherwise. I'm not sure I have to go have bloodwork done. We'll see where my cholesterol comes in. He might tell me to pick a different face, but other other than that.

Rich Bennett 29:18
The thing is, there are so many. Things you could do with this. And. And. I mean, you're you're already a master design in the board. But if somehow or another if you yourself and Bethany. Bethany. Right.

Tammie Wingrove 29:33
Bethany.

Rich Bennett 29:33
Could take classes like to become a wine connoisseur. What's it called? I think a bourbon. Stuart.

Tammie Wingrove 29:39
Jeff Berman.

Rich Bennett 29:41
A beer connoisseur, even tea. I mean, I'm thinking,

I love matcha. And a lot of this stuff would because a lot of people that don't like to teach as much as a teach like grace. A lot of this stuff. A pair of beautiful women.

Tammie Wingrove 30:00
It changes the whole

Rich Bennett 30:02
Yeah.

Tammie Wingrove 30:02
flavor profile when you have something matched with it and something can go from very delicious to very terrible just with how you I, I now like to kind of play with the boards with different flavors to find the flavors for me at

Rich Bennett 30:16
Right.

Tammie Wingrove 30:16
the. Because I know my yum! Flavor is that I like that go together. So I try to go for some funky ones and like, okay, that was not so good. I would not recommend that. But someone else might really like it. As my five year old tells me, Don't yuck my yum.

Rich Bennett 30:32
Oh, God. I'm thinking of the jelly belly.

Tammie Wingrove 30:36
Oh. Oh. The yucky was.

Rich Bennett 30:37
Yeah. The yucky weeds.

Tammie Wingrove 30:38
AX and stuff.

Rich Bennett 30:39
That that would be. Oh, my God, be so funny. Like for Halloween, you could do two charcuterie boards.

Tammie Wingrove 30:47
A trick one.

Rich Bennett 30:48
What?

Tammie Wingrove 30:49
Oh, yep. And I've kind of done things like that. So I. One of my favorite holidays is April Fool's Day, so.

Rich Bennett 30:56
Oh, perfect. Oh, sorry. Yeah, to do that. Oh, my God.

Tammie Wingrove 31:00
Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. So for April

Rich Bennett 31:02
Wow.

Tammie Wingrove 31:02
Fool's Day years ago, it fell on Easter. And so I made.

Rich Bennett 31:09

Tammie Wingrove 32:36
Kick pops and the cake pops where brussel sprouts dipped in chocolate with.

Rich Bennett 32:41
Daddy

Tammie Wingrove 32:42
Goals on them. It was wonderful.

Rich Bennett 32:44
With pickles on them.

Tammie Wingrove 32:45
Sprint with sprinkles.

Rich Bennett 32:46
Oh, sprinkle.

Tammie Wingrove 32:46
Sprinkles, sprinkles. So they looked just like cake pops

Rich Bennett 32:49
Were

Tammie Wingrove 32:50
and.

Rich Bennett 32:50
the brussel sprouts at least cooked

Tammie Wingrove 32:51
No,

Rich Bennett 32:51
or.

Tammie Wingrove 32:51
no,

Rich Bennett 32:52
They

Tammie Wingrove 32:52
they.

Rich Bennett 32:52
were all.

Tammie Wingrove 32:52
They were all brussel sprouts. They were so they could stay nice and in the right shape. So.

Rich Bennett 32:56
I would try that. I've.

Tammie Wingrove 32:58
I am not surprised. And I will tell you my dad did and I have a video of him biting into it. And so it's not half bad. So he was the only one who who didn't dislike it, but.

Rich Bennett 33:08
Even raw brussel sprouts are good for you.

Tammie Wingrove 33:11
Brussel sprouts are delicious. I love them. Maybe not dipped in chocolate, but we did. We went to two Easter at my dad's family's house and I had to leave early, but one of my cousins knew what I had done and she said, I'll lay the cake pops out at dessert time and and we'll just see where it goes. So they had dessert, and when everyone went to leave, everybody picked up a cake pop for the road because they were already packaged up. And then the text messages started.

Through the family. Don't eat the cake pops their brussel sprouts.

So yes, we could absolutely do some some.

Rich Bennett 33:51
Oh.

Tammie Wingrove 33:52
Is with that? I've seen. I saw a video recently. I really want to do it with my kids where somebody took mashed potatoes and they made it look like an ice cream sundae. And so they gave it to their kids and it was gravy and mashed potatoes, but it looked like a ice cream sundae with caramel sauce on top and.

Rich Bennett 34:09
Oh, God.

Tammie Wingrove 34:10
You can better believe I'm going to be trying that on

Rich Bennett 34:13
Oh,

Tammie Wingrove 34:13
my friend.

Rich Bennett 34:14
my God.

Tammie Wingrove 34:15
Any any time I can try to pull a little joke, it's always, You got to have fun, right?

Rich Bennett 34:19
Oh, yeah. Well, my my one great nephew will not. He's like a ten D guy and fries. That's it.

Tammie Wingrove 34:27
Okay.

Rich Bennett 34:28
And I've told to my niece, I said, Why don't you try? Because he'll drink like milkshakes and ask, Why don't you try putting stuff in the smoothie

Tammie Wingrove 34:37
Yeah, lots of people do

Rich Bennett 34:39
do

Tammie Wingrove 34:39
that blended

Rich Bennett 34:39
it?

Tammie Wingrove 34:39
in now. He'll, he'll pick it out. Mhm. It's hard.

Rich Bennett 34:43
Let that boy save me for a week.

Tammie Wingrove 34:46
When they're hungry enough.

Rich Bennett 34:47
I'll teach him how to grill. I'll teach him he can eat what to eat.

Tammie Wingrove 34:51
Especially when you're saying grilled like.

Rich Bennett 34:53
Oh.

Tammie Wingrove 34:54
Grilled and smoked foods. Those are our favorite things. We love a good smoked brisket.

Rich Bennett 35:00
We took a pause for a while. Once a month we were doing our we called our beer bourbon bar.

Tammie Wingrove 35:06
Okay,

Rich Bennett 35:07
Once a month, you guys

Tammie Wingrove 35:07
guys.

Rich Bennett 35:08
get together and barbecue some stuff.

Tammie Wingrove 35:12
Berman.

Rich Bennett 35:13
Or cocktail? Different beers. And my wife kept she's always said you guys should get charcuterie boards as well. Oh,

see you're with the idea. You told me before we started recording this,

You're going to be blowing up if you're not already.

Tammie Wingrove 35:36
Thank you.

Rich Bennett 35:36
Actually tell us what's the website?

Tammie Wingrove 35:38
So we are full circle board scum.

Rich Bennett 35:40
That's easy to remember.

Tammie Wingrove 35:41
Yep.

Rich Bennett 35:42
Very easy to remember. Where would you like to see?

Tammie Wingrove 35:45
See this in five years. How I would love to be all over the place. I would. There's there's we've looked into ways that you can ship these. I mean, I have no idea if it would go something nationwide, but just all over the place. Yeah, I would love to send it out to people, bring people together. Let's bring back the art of bringing people together.

Rich Bennett 36:10
choosing momentum.

Tammie Wingrove 36:12
It's Manchego.

Rich Bennett 36:13
Oh, God.

Tammie Wingrove 36:14
It's a nice and nutty one. If you like mustard, there's mustard in one of those and a fig jelly in the other. But the, the manchego and some T and some of the stone ground mustard seem savory, so. He is my wheelhouse. That that's what I love.

Rich Bennett 36:31
Wow. Can do two things. Number one, can people order online yet?

Tammie Wingrove 36:36
They can order online,

Rich Bennett 36:37
Oh.

Tammie Wingrove 36:38
they can order online, and if their time isn't available, send us a message. We're still working with our schedule

Rich Bennett 36:45
Mm

Tammie Wingrove 36:45
and everything

Rich Bennett 36:45
hmm.

Tammie Wingrove 36:45
so definite we reach out, ping us, we can usually work around whatever, whatever works for you, but we're getting ready to open up specifically our Christmas time, ordering for our Christmas Eve boards and the holidays. But absolutely, if you don't see something available, send us a message. We love to. We love to accommodate and and really stretch our minds. So.

Rich Bennett 37:09
So when's the book coming out?

Tammie Wingrove 37:11
You know, it's funny because I so I worked in in a been in a past life it feels like many years ago. For for a company that it was a marketing company. They sold marketing materials and my boss at the time always said, you become an expert when you do what? When you write a book. So stay tuned.

Rich Bennett 37:32
charcuterie recipe book. I mean, they they they're out there.

Tammie Wingrove 37:36
They absolutely are different pairings and stuff. So yeah, once once you write a book, you're an expert and then you have that in your back pocket. Believe me, Bethany is listening and probably shaking her head because.

I think that if she had a dime for how many times I've told her those exact words.

Rich Bennett 37:52
How come she didn't come?

Tammie Wingrove 37:54
So she teaches during the day? Yes. So she.

Rich Bennett 37:57
Oh, she's a public schoolteacher.

Tammie Wingrove 37:59
Yes. She teaches at one of the private schools over in Kingsville. She.

Rich Bennett 38:02
Oh, private school.

Tammie Wingrove 38:03
Yep. She's a private school over in Kingsville, and she's their art teacher. And she. She is insanely talented, just from art to decorating to just. It's funny because I am very like I go with my gut, what looks right. And so she'll come in and say, Oh, I love how you put those two colors together. And a color wheel still really confuses me. That's a cranberry cheddar.

Rich Bennett 38:28
Cranberry cheddar.

Tammie Wingrove 38:29
I love it. Yeah. Hopefully you like cranberry. It's a really nice.

Rich Bennett 38:34
Oh, my God.

Tammie Wingrove 38:34
Yeah, that's a good one.

Rich Bennett 38:35
I didn't utter. Such as? Oh, God.

Tammie Wingrove 38:37
There is.

Rich Bennett 38:38
So what I mean with these different cheeses mean I don't. Oh, my God. That is creamy,

Tammie Wingrove 38:44
It's a good creamy one, isn't

Rich Bennett 38:45
man.

Tammie Wingrove 38:45
it? It's not too sharp like some chest.

Rich Bennett 38:47
Now.

Tammie Wingrove 38:48
Be a little too bitey. But that's a good one.

Rich Bennett 38:51
I don't know if you can answer this or not, because it may have to, and I'm sure there are probably cheese chefs because aren't some cheeses infused like that cranberry cheddar had to be infused of cranberry? I

Tammie Wingrove 39:04
Oh, yeah. It's mixed with cranberry, so. Oh, yeah. Things that I have been receiving for years for Christmas are different cheese making kits, I.

Rich Bennett 39:14
Oh.

Tammie Wingrove 39:14
Loved cheese. One year I declared that there could be no Christmas unless I received a cheese Advent calendar. And on December 1st, my wonderful sister and brother in law, we went out to dinner and they said, You need to come to the car with us. We have something for you. And they presented me with a cooler full of brown paper bags that were tied up with bows and had numbers on them and they had made me my own cheese advent calendar. It was wonderful. So yes. And, and so from that to different cheese making kits, my ten year old and I, we were just recently talking about we need to make our own mozzarella because we keep

Rich Bennett 39:53
Oh.

Tammie Wingrove 39:53
seeing them doing that because we love cheese. And the more you know about how it's made. But there are a lot of people who make cheese locally and we try to work with different, oh yeah. Oh, absolutely. There are there are local cheese makers here and there are some really delightful cheese.

Rich Bennett 40:10
Is there a bourbon cheese out there?

Tammie Wingrove 40:12
There is. That was.

Rich Bennett 40:13
Come on. They're

Tammie Wingrove 40:14
They're one of mine. So on my wedding cake, we had the bottom layer. Part of it was the coffee rind. And then I may not have had bourbon. I think it was a whiskey, but it was a whiskey rind.

Rich Bennett 40:27
still.

Tammie Wingrove 40:28
But still. Yes. Oh, absolutely. It's delicious. And then I think it was it was half espresso, half with the whiskey or a quarter of with the whiskey. And I think the other one might have been a rose. Mary. I can't remember. I'll have to look back at the picture, but. Oh, yeah. And then there's the wine. He goat. And that's or a drunken goat. And it's in wine. It's got a nice purple rind and it's goat cheese. So for people whose count of cow milk upsets your tummy, you know, you can still have a delicious wine cheese.

Rich Bennett 41:00
Okay. So we talked about all these different pairings and especially like chocolate and cheese.

Tammie Wingrove 41:06
Mm hmm.

Rich Bennett 41:08
I'm afraid. I'm afraid I know the answer to this already. Any chocolate covered cheese.

Tammie Wingrove 41:14
We'll think about it. Have you had a cheesecake with chocolate?

Rich Bennett 41:17
Shit.

Tammie Wingrove 41:20
Well,

Rich Bennett 41:20
Yeah. Okay.

Tammie Wingrove 41:21
I get that question a lot. I bet you can't pay chocolate and cheese. And I say you've had a chocolate cheesecake. They've got loads of them. You.

Rich Bennett 41:30
Yeah.

Tammie Wingrove 41:31
Cake factory, and there's there's a gazillion flavors you can try. So yeah, don't don't send your mind into that. People think cheese is so savory and yeah, I probably wouldn't put a manchego with a chocolate. I don't know that I would like that. That's,

Rich Bennett 41:44
Yeah.

Tammie Wingrove 41:44
that's a one of my Yuka yum pairs. I'll have to try and and see. Maybe that's going to be a a thing I can do and post up like weekly. Is it a yuk or is it a yum. And or

Rich Bennett 41:55
Oh,

Tammie Wingrove 41:55
try different try different pairings but really different ones and try to see what what's crazy and people could

Rich Bennett 42:03
a good

Tammie Wingrove 42:03
submit

Rich Bennett 42:03
idea.

Tammie Wingrove 42:04
it. Yeah. There's loads of people who are doing that try this combination or I'm always seeing

Rich Bennett 42:08
The things.

Tammie Wingrove 42:08
things on, on Instagram, on reels of people like I wrote, somebody told me to try this and it was spaghetti with marshmallow sauce or I don't know, it just made that up. But if somebody wants to try it like.

Rich Bennett 42:18
You never know. I mean, look at some of the strange things they make on a show. Chopped.

Tammie Wingrove 42:24
So many strange

Rich Bennett 42:25
Yeah.

Tammie Wingrove 42:25
things, but hey, I'm willing to try it off.

Rich Bennett 42:28
So you teach classes, but the classes are how to do how to design the boards, right?

Tammie Wingrove 42:34
Right. So cutting up the cheeses, folding the meats, presenting at how kind of balancing the board. But ultimately it's really comes down to what's visually appealing to So just talking about that and mixing things and what you want to look for when you go to the grocery store, because that was my my biggest problem when I first started doing this, when I had this great idea, I thought, okay, I have this board and it's it's, you know, this big. And so.

Rich Bennett 43:01
Right.

Tammie Wingrove 43:01
Go to the grocery store. And I think, well, that board was really big at home. So I definitely need eight different cheeses and probably £3 of meat and a ton of grapes. And you get home and you realize you've bought $400 worth of groceries and it fits such a small amount of stuff. So we kind of talk about what to look for, what to buy and you can see for yourself, okay, I don't need to buy huge wheels of

Rich Bennett 43:26
Right.

Tammie Wingrove 43:26
cheese. Because in your mind, at least for me, maybe I just skewed things visually weird and think I need so much stuff and and you don't always need that. So we want to teach you. I love teaching people how to do this. In fact, I had someone who called me the other week and she would needed to know if we could do cups for her for the next day and we were already booked. And I said, But let's talk it through. So, you know, tell me what you're going for. And, and here I'll tell you what to buy and how to put it together, because, you know, that's what it's about, helping people. And and sure, you know, it's not a secret. I want you to know how to do this because when it's time for for the bigger event in your life or something that you don't have time to do, you're going to call me. And, you know, I've empowered you. And all my life I've had people who I love when they want to empower me, whether it's how to fix something on my computer. And I can go to you first thing and say

Rich Bennett 44:15
love.

Tammie Wingrove 44:15
I trust, Yeah, I troubleshoot this first and here's how far I got. Or let's try something different. So, you know, let's, let's learn.

Rich Bennett 44:23
Yes, I'm still eating people.

Well,

Tammie Wingrove 44:35
They're delicious.

Rich Bennett 44:37
mean, do you with the classes, do you teach preparing as well?

Tammie Wingrove 44:42
We can a lot. So we we I talk about what goes well. We haven't done a specific pairing class where we're just sitting down and matching things. But as we go through the classes, I will say this tastes nice together. Like that. Brie The brie And if you like the prosciutto.

Rich Bennett 44:59
Unwrap three.

Tammie Wingrove 45:00
No, you don't. You can. You can spread it. Some people take it off and they whip it. It's really nice with the fig jam and the prosciutto. And that's a nice, sweet pairing.

Rich Bennett 45:12
Stephen Colbert. So.

Tammie Wingrove 45:13
It is. It really isn't bad by itself.

Rich Bennett 45:15
A lot of people would say, I've heard this of bridge. God

like the aftertaste. I can't figure out what it tastes like.

Tammie Wingrove 45:22
Yeah, there's I, I love warm brie, but a lot of people like a nice cold brie. One of my friends just told me that she was going to make a sandwich with brie and turkey and cranberry, and I said, Oh my gosh. And once you pull it out of the oven And she said, I hadn't even thought about putting it in the oven. And I love a nice, warm brie. I do.

Rich Bennett 45:41
I better be going to a burger.

So.

Tammie Wingrove 45:44
Cheese is great on anything my.

Rich Bennett 45:45
My dad used to joke that.

Tammie Wingrove 45:46
That I would eat cheese off of a show. So he's probably.

Rich Bennett 45:49
Maybe that's what it tastes like. The aftertaste, though. Oh, know, I've never eaten a shoe.

Tammie Wingrove 45:53
There you go.

Rich Bennett 45:54
Oh, man. So you say you've done stuff like the breweries.

Tammie Wingrove 45:59
Mm hmm.

Rich Bennett 46:00
Is this events that people are holding there or is it that the brewery contacted you?

Tammie Wingrove 46:04
Right. So we worked with the brewery. They wanted to have a class, hosted a class, and so

Rich Bennett 46:09
Okay.

Tammie Wingrove 46:09
we push it out to people. But also we've worked with other events at the brewery where they've brought us in and we've set up and we've provided charcuterie for, for their guests. So.

Rich Bennett 46:21
Now that the.

The brewmaster picked out the beer to pair with it.

Tammie Wingrove 46:27
No, it was just people could go up and they could choose whatever beer they'd like. But I think that this is a would be so fun if to sit down, put our heads together with the brewmaster and say, okay, which what are your new beers, What are you working on? Do you have something secret in the hole that you want to kind of bring out and let's see what we can get together and do a little debut and marry things up.

Rich Bennett 46:49
Which brewery do you normally go to?

Tammie Wingrove 46:52
So we have a wonderful relationship with Ministry of Brewing downtown if you haven't been there. It's right down by Hopkins. They're in an old church and they're first of all, their beers are spectacular. They've got everything.

Rich Bennett 47:06
Can you get them in the stores?

Tammie Wingrove 47:08
I think you buy them just straight from them. I

Rich Bennett 47:10
Okay.

Tammie Wingrove 47:10
don't know that you can buy him

Rich Bennett 47:11
Ministry

Tammie Wingrove 47:11
in.

Rich Bennett 47:12
or ministry brewing?

Tammie Wingrove 47:13
Ministry of Brewing like a play on for Harry Potter. Ministry of Magic. Ministry of Brewing. So.

Rich Bennett 47:20
So you knew the owners there?

Tammie Wingrove 47:21
I have now

Rich Bennett 47:22
Or

Tammie Wingrove 47:22
been.

Rich Bennett 47:22
the brew.

Tammie Wingrove 47:22
With them. Yeah, we're with the with the manager and all of the people that work behind the bar. They're. They're wonderful. We started setting up there with our cart. I had just sent an email and kind of to different breweries introducing myself. This is what I do. And they put us on their list of if you want to get on the rotation. And we've really developed a great relationship with them. Matt other from teaching classes there. They usually have someone who's setting up as a food vendor and just meeting.

Rich Bennett 47:49
Right.

Tammie Wingrove 47:50
Food vendors that that are wonderful, wonderful people. But Ministry of Brewing has kind of been a little home for us. But we've set up we did for the Chamber of Commerce, they did one of their

networking at night.

Rich Bennett 48:04
Mm hmm.

Tammie Wingrove 48:04
And we were

Rich Bennett 48:05
Right.

Tammie Wingrove 48:05
there for that. And so, yeah, we were trying to get ourselves out there. But but ministry has been wonderful to us.

Rich Bennett 48:12
All right. Ministry of Brewing, all your other breweries out there. I got a challenge for you. I think you need to get in touch with Timmy

and come out with a full circle board beer that's got some cheese flavor in it.

Tammie Wingrove 48:30
Ooh.

Rich Bennett 48:31
I would definitely try it. And they have to have you there because you know your cheeses

Tammie Wingrove 48:35
Oh, yeah.

Rich Bennett 48:36
and you would have to taste, you would have to taste a beer to make sure

Tammie Wingrove 48:39
Yeah, put it together. Even

Rich Bennett 48:40
there's

Tammie Wingrove 48:40
there's brew

Rich Bennett 48:40
brew

Tammie Wingrove 48:41
clubs

Rich Bennett 48:41
clubs out.

Tammie Wingrove 48:41
out there. Oh, my brother in law, Tim. Tim. Yeah, I know. You're sure. Say, don't say it, Timmy. Don't say it. Let's talk. He's so my brother in law is in a brew club, and they have different challenges. And we've gone to some different competitions where they had to do one with. They were taking the I'm going to mess everything up because I don't under. All of the things that.

Rich Bennett 49:04
Right.

Tammie Wingrove 49:04
The grains that the beer was made with and they had to make a dessert with that. It was really.

Rich Bennett 49:11
Oh.

Tammie Wingrove 49:11
Oh, it was great when everybody got to go and vote and we tried some really interesting things. So. So now I'm sure my brother in law is hearing me and he's like, Oh my gosh.

Make her a cheese beer. I know. I could see it coming, Tim.

Rich Bennett 49:26
I think it would be good.

Tammie Wingrove 49:27
Tim, will you make me a cheese beer?

Rich Bennett 49:29
I think it would be I mean, I would definitely try it. Whoever thought that coffee and beer, mean, coffee flavored beer would be a thing. Chocolate flavored beer.

Tammie Wingrove 49:38
And it's delicious.

Rich Bennett 49:39
Look at all the sorbet. Beer, sorbet, sorbet, whatever. Beers out there.

Tammie Wingrove 49:43
The watermelon beers.

Rich Bennett 49:44
Oh, and the cucumber.

Oh, God. Okay. Don't get me started on be.

Tammie Wingrove 49:51
Yeah.

Rich Bennett 49:51
I mean, a lot of those would be good, good pairings.

Tammie Wingrove 49:54
Absolutely.

Rich Bennett 49:55
Cheese goes with anything.

Tammie Wingrove 49:57
Anything? Yeah.

Rich Bennett 49:58
I mean.

Tammie Wingrove 49:59
The cucumber beer. Who knows? Try to marry up some different things and see it. You don't know until you try and just have to be willing to experiment a little.

Rich Bennett 50:08
So when did you actually start the business?

Tammie Wingrove 50:11
We started last year. This time last year, actually, our very first event that we did was December 1st. We were signing all the legal papers and I was setting up the LLC and talking with insurance through October and part of November and then meeting Brittany and finding a kitchen. So December.

Rich Bennett 50:27
Wow.

Tammie Wingrove 50:28
Was our first our first actual debut event.

Rich Bennett 50:33
Really?

Tammie Wingrove 50:33
Yep. So we made it through the first year.

Rich Bennett 50:37
That is awesome.

Tammie Wingrove 50:39
Yeah, it's it's been fun and I really attribute a lot of it to the cart because

Rich Bennett 50:43
Yeah.

Tammie Wingrove 50:43
it's it's we're on wheels now. We can go so many more places.

Rich Bennett 50:47
Oh, I got so many contacts for you.

Tammie Wingrove 50:49
Thank you.

Rich Bennett 50:52
And the you mentioned earlier whether or not you could ship.

Tammie Wingrove 50:56
These.

Rich Bennett 50:57
Look, if they can ship crab cakes

Tammie Wingrove 51:00
You can shop. Oh, you can definitely. You can absolutely ship it. It's just figuring out

Rich Bennett 51:05
there,

Tammie Wingrove 51:05
it's

Rich Bennett 51:05
cause.

Tammie Wingrove 51:05
more it's more calls and it's calls to my friends at the health department. So if you're listening your

Rich Bennett 51:10
Ron

Tammie Wingrove 51:10
friend it.

Rich Bennett 51:10
Young.

Tammie Wingrove 51:11
Your friend. Full circle boards will be calling again.

Rich Bennett 51:15
Oh, man. I am. Mm hmm. Well, you may. I know you're going to make my wife and daughter happy that you said it weird because of the charcuterie board.

Tammie Wingrove 51:25
Everybody's happy when they get the gift of cheese.

Rich Bennett 51:28
So what I found out, I don't know if you answered this or not, but what is one of your your top three favorite cheeses?

Tammie Wingrove 51:36
It changes a lot. So the coffee.

Rich Bennett 51:38
Taste buds change.

Tammie Wingrove 51:39
They do. And I'm kind of with the season, so I love the coffee Ryan Cheese that is always is or the espresso I'm I'm going to get you want don't you worry. That one I also so I put the dill have already on this one but in the fall it is very good. Are you a French Onion fan? Do you like French onion?

Rich Bennett 51:59
My rule is if it doesn't eat me first, I love French on.

Tammie Wingrove 52:02
Okay, so.

Rich Bennett 52:03
I mean, some weird stuff.

Tammie Wingrove 52:04
Yeah, well, in French onions. Not weird,

Rich Bennett 52:05
No, it's

Tammie Wingrove 52:06
but.

Rich Bennett 52:06
not. I was going

Tammie Wingrove 52:06
So.

Rich Bennett 52:06
to make French onion soup the other day.

Tammie Wingrove 52:08
I love it. And now that it's getting cold, I have made French onion, meatloaf, French onion, yoki, French onion soup. We we're a big French onion family. So naturally French onion havarti is.

Rich Bennett 52:19
And yes, she is Irish.

Tammie Wingrove 52:22
Yes. Yes, we are. And my husband, his last name is Mcbrearty. So.

Rich Bennett 52:26
Oh, God.

Tammie Wingrove 52:27
Very, very, very Irish.

Rich Bennett 52:29
Oh,

Tammie Wingrove 52:30
Yes.

Rich Bennett 52:30
so I. And what was the other ones?

Tammie Wingrove 52:33
And the other one. Right now I'm loving the cranberry chatter, but I think.

Rich Bennett 52:36
That cranberry cheddar kicks ass.

Tammie Wingrove 52:37
It's great. Isn't it wonderful?

Rich Bennett 52:39
To be talking in front of him?

Tammie Wingrove 52:40
That's that's a great one. And

Rich Bennett 52:42

Tammie Wingrove 52:42
I don't

Rich Bennett 52:42
don't

Tammie Wingrove 52:42
know

Rich Bennett 52:42
know.

Tammie Wingrove 52:42
if it's going to stay one of my favorites, but right now we've been using it so much seasonally so so that that I'd say those are my top three right now.

Rich Bennett 52:52
I take it you had that for Thanksgiving?

Tammie Wingrove 52:53
No, absolutely. They were on our Thanksgiving boards. We're keeping them on our Christmas boards. And yeah, I mean, cranberries are they're beautiful.

Rich Bennett 53:00
What's the knock, knock? Not in the heart. What's the biggest board you made?

Tammie Wingrove 53:06
The chamber are the the Harford County Public Library.

Rich Bennett 53:10
That was the biggest.

Tammie Wingrove 53:11
That was six.

Rich Bennett 53:11
I was one board.

Tammie Wingrove 53:13
Well, it was one big graze. It was six.

Rich Bennett 53:14
Okay.

Tammie Wingrove 53:15
50 people. So that was the biggest graze event that we have that we've put together by a landslide. 650 people is a does a lot of people. So it was it was a learning curve but.

Rich Bennett 53:28
And that was just you and Bethany, or do you guys have help?

Tammie Wingrove 53:30
Well, I'm the hive was right there. So our wonderful friends of the hive, especially Meghan, she really she came in clutch. She helped us. And honestly, when we were there setting up, so we did the deserts and the local was there doing the savory part. And Zach was so wonderful and he even loaned hands of his crew to help kind of get everything out. So it's teamwork. That's

Rich Bennett 53:52
Yeah.

Tammie Wingrove 53:52
what that's how how businesses survive. If you walk around and you don't want to work with other people, you're not going to go very far.

Rich Bennett 53:58
No.

Tammie Wingrove 53:58
But if you're willing to partner up and you're willing to work with people and share your share your story and and also share the success, that this was definitely not just me. This was so many people and their hands and their patience and answering questions. And so.

Rich Bennett 54:14
Did you think you would be this big in just your first year?

Tammie Wingrove 54:18
No, absolutely not. This was this was just a you know, let's do this and see see where it goes. And I will say a lot of my dad passing in January, I needed to channel focus onto something. And so leaning in on this and and the cart, the cart, I couldn't have imagined that we were doing a 650 person event. That was probably our five year, three or five year dream down the road. But are you picking up different weddings that we have done and we've worked with some some really great people just to do some different events at some beautiful locations? We did we did a beautiful graze down at American Visionary Arts Museum. We

Rich Bennett 54:58
Mhm.

Tammie Wingrove 54:58
have done some is at the Palisades in Townsend, which

Rich Bennett 55:02
Wow.

Tammie Wingrove 55:02
it's beautiful there. We just did an event. I'll show you the the video of what we did. But it was a very long graze. And it we've just been calling it the Showstopper because it incorporated florals, food, say florals.

Rich Bennett 55:16
Oh

Tammie Wingrove 55:16
And it was it was truly a showstopper. It was the centerpiece. So it was really

Rich Bennett 55:22
really?

Tammie Wingrove 55:22
a living centerpiece where an edible centerpiece you were coming in. And so the flowers were mixed in with the cheeses and the.

Rich Bennett 55:28
Right.

Tammie Wingrove 55:29
And everything. And it was just meant to be to be art.

Rich Bennett 55:32
Here. Are all these people finding you?

Tammie Wingrove 55:35
I love to go to networking events.

Rich Bennett 55:37
Okay.

Tammie Wingrove 55:37
Between honestly networking and the cart. So many people have said, Oh, someone pass this to me because they picked up your information

Rich Bennett 55:43
Right.

Tammie Wingrove 55:44
from the cart and I've been carrying it around so and word of mouth, just people hearing about us sharing a positive experience. And, you know, we appreciate all of the people who have who've shared positive experiences with us.

Rich Bennett 55:55
Do you feel because you said you started this in December, your father passed January. you feel that he is sitting on your shoulder whispering in your ear and just telling you to go full steam ahead? Don't let anybody tell you no.

Tammie Wingrove 56:10
100%. There have been so many doors that have opened and I'm just like, I don't know whose ear my dad is in, but he is just going at it like, you know, let's open this door for her and let's do that. And and I you know, I've said to my mom and my sister and my family to be like, I would like to think that dad is proud. And sometimes I forget that, you know, I last night I was getting some things ready. And so. So the pretzels there are hot honey maple pretzel.

Rich Bennett 56:38
Oh.

Tammie Wingrove 56:38
Yeah, they're delicious. They're delicious. And

Rich Bennett 56:41
I.

Tammie Wingrove 56:41
I had a moment where I thought. Does Dad like these? And then I remembered that he had passed before we even found the pretzel

Rich Bennett 56:49
Right.

Tammie Wingrove 56:49
guy. But I, you know, my my dad's helping us. He is guiding us. He's. He's helping open these doors 100%.

Rich Bennett 56:56
I think if he was here right now, he'd tell you how proud he is of you.

Tammie Wingrove 57:00
I think so.

Rich Bennett 57:00
I mean, you're doing an awesome job. Only a year. That's amazing.

Tammie Wingrove 57:05
Thank you.

Rich Bennett 57:06
And the pairings that you put together on these boards. Wow. But you're a cheese expert.

Tammie Wingrove 57:13
I love cheese ideas.

Rich Bennett 57:14
I mean,

Tammie Wingrove 57:15
ideas.

Rich Bennett 57:15
I've never met a your what's the Christmas movie? Wasn't there a Chinese character? No. Who is it? Santa.

Santa Claus is coming to town. The cheese meister.

Tammie Wingrove 57:28
Oh, no. What is it? It is a heat meister.

Rich Bennett 57:31
He might. Okay. Never mind. While

Tammie Wingrove 57:32
you.

Rich Bennett 57:33
he.

Tammie Wingrove 57:33
My store. Probably grilled some cheese. It was warm. You could make a nice, warm brie or something.

Rich Bennett 57:39
Heatmiser me. Where's my mind?

Tammie Wingrove 57:42
We're thinking is.

Rich Bennett 57:43
Well, look, Santa Claus was not friends with the heat meister, okay? So I have an excuse.

Tammie Wingrove 57:48
But if if they could have brought together some cheese, you know, maybe they he could have taken his bad for good and spread spread melty cheese and fondue to people. Oh, yeah. Fondue. Love fondue.

Even then, fondue. Like back when the melting pot first opened in Dawson. I was dying to go there because. Come on, you're giving me a bowl of melted cheese. This is. Sign me up.

Rich Bennett 58:15
I could do the cooking at home, right?

Tammie Wingrove 58:17
I know my husband. He he really does a great job, too. We both love to cook, but he calls himself an artist. He does not like to follow recipes. I generally follow recipes. It's a surprise party with what he makes. But he does a great job. He grills, he smokes. We both grill and smoke.

Rich Bennett 58:36
All right. Be honest. Now, tell me. I know if you're making crave mac and cheese, you're not using the cheese that comes in the box, are you?

Tammie Wingrove 58:44
I normally do not. But. Thanks to one of my dear friends who I love, mac and cheese. In fact, our family loves mac and cheese so much that. So when my ten year old for her eighth birthday, it was her seventh or eighth birthday. So her name is Maggie and her nickname is Macaroni and Cheese.

Rich Bennett 59:05
Oh, God, I love that.

Tammie Wingrove 59:07
We had a macaroni and cheese cook off at our house for Maggie's birthday party. She wanted it. I did not force her. This was this was all all organic. And I went to the store and I got a trophy and I hot glued all these macaroni noodles in. And people brought the coolest kinds of mac and cheese. In fact, the winner, I forget who won the first place. In the second place, we had a sweet mac and cheese, a dessert, mac and cheese. It was like a blueberry cream cheese. It was like a cheesecake. Mac and cheese. It was delightful. My sister and brother in law made that, and then my cousins made a Reuben, mac and cheese.

Rich Bennett 59:45
Oh.

Tammie Wingrove 59:47
Oh, yeah, that was wonderful. They still make it. It. It was delightful. I can't. Sorry, guys. I can't remember which one of you won and which one was the runner up. But it was, it was neck and neck, but we had all kinds of mac and cheese. I loved to make mac and cheese, but one of my friends, her daughter, came over and she said this was not at the party. I only like the orange cheese. And so my kids heard that and they're like, Well, wait a minute, there's orange cheese. We want this. So.

Rich Bennett 1:00:14
Oh, God.

Tammie Wingrove 1:00:15
I make delightful mac and cheese, But sometimes I do have to bend the knee and actually make the.

Rich Bennett 1:00:24
Have you ever been to Richardson Farms?

Tammie Wingrove 1:00:26
Oh, I love Richardson's.

Rich Bennett 1:00:26
Have you ever gotten their crab, mac and cheese?

Tammie Wingrove 1:00:28
Oh, it's delicious. What isn't delicious at Richardson's is that it is the chicken Popeye's.

Rich Bennett 1:00:35
All. Oh, that's all. Well, we do weddings, especially at the barn. I love it because there's leftovers.

Tammie Wingrove 1:00:43
Oh, yeah, actually, what am I talking about? Richardson's catered the party that I told you about for my with the cheese wheel cake. It was Richardson's who did the savory food.

Rich Bennett 1:00:53
At the house.

Tammie Wingrove 1:00:54
At my parents house.

Rich Bennett 1:00:54
Really?

Tammie Wingrove 1:00:55
Yeah. Oh, yeah. We love Richard.

Rich Bennett 1:00:56
How long ago was that?

Tammie Wingrove 1:00:57
This was in 2019, 2019, 2019, and oh, yeah, Richardsons. They catered my dad's funeral. We are big Richardson's fans. In fact, they somehow their they have their farm over by Glenarm. Right.

Rich Bennett 1:01:11
Yeah, that's. Yeah.

Tammie Wingrove 1:01:11
They?

Rich Bennett 1:01:12
Art is.

Tammie Wingrove 1:01:13
Yes. So my husband is a Baltimore County police officer. He graduated from the police academy in December of 2019, and they hosted the the class party. So we're big Richardson's fans.

Rich Bennett 1:01:25
Really?

Tammie Wingrove 1:01:26
Love Richard Richardson's.

Rich Bennett 1:01:27
How old are your kids?

Tammie Wingrove 1:01:28
I have a ten year old, a five year old and a two year old.

Rich Bennett 1:01:32
Where are you taking them? All right. Those of you listening. Yes. As recorded in December, Are you taking them to dinner with Santa

Tammie Wingrove 1:01:38
I. I need to I.

Rich Bennett 1:01:40
Yes.

Tammie Wingrove 1:01:41
It's so hard because our cheese schedule is so nutty right now and my husband works.

Rich Bennett 1:01:46
Four nights.

Tammie Wingrove 1:01:47
I need to figure it out. So my husband works midnights and so trying to coordinate the midnight schedule and the kids schedule. And I know we they're going to I think, a breakfast with Santa. They're going to something with my husband this weekend when I'm doing more stuff for full circle. But I need to take them to a dinner with Santa. I absolutely have to. Particularly my my two year old and my five year old. Ah, they're all about the elves. The ten year old tales. Everybody were. Were.

Rich Bennett 1:02:15
If you don't make it, I'll let you slide.

Tammie Wingrove 1:02:18
Yeah.

Rich Bennett 1:02:18
Yeah,

Tammie Wingrove 1:02:19
right.

Rich Bennett 1:02:19
I'll forgive you because

Tammie Wingrove 1:02:20
But.

Rich Bennett 1:02:20
I know you're busy.

Tammie Wingrove 1:02:21
It's. It's been hard.

Rich Bennett 1:02:22
Although you'll probably make it for the breakfast as the Easter Bunny.

Tammie Wingrove 1:02:27
Hey, I don't know. Maybe we'll have a lot of springtime boards, but I do. I want to. So I'm going to I'm going to have to try to to make something work, especially with four different nights. We can get we can get something on there.

Rich Bennett 1:02:39
Actually, would something like this be allowed to go into a store like Richardson's or any other thing to be sold

Tammie Wingrove 1:02:46
So we would have to get our wholesale license. And we've looked into the requirements of how we we have to put the label on the you know, on the box of

Rich Bennett 1:02:54
right

Tammie Wingrove 1:02:54
what's in

Rich Bennett 1:02:55
there?

Tammie Wingrove 1:02:55
there and the allergens. But yes, I've I've looked into what we would need to do to in order to wholesale to someone

Rich Bennett 1:03:01
Okay.

Tammie Wingrove 1:03:02
like Richardsons or one of the other farms or little shops. But it's a possibility. It definitely is. It's just going through the right channels. And that's the most important thing. I want to make sure we're doing it the right way. The first.

Rich Bennett 1:03:12
Yeah.

Tammie Wingrove 1:03:13
And not cause a headache for anyone and just get it done. And I think that's why it took so long for me to finally get to the point that I was ready to pull the trigger on the business because I don't want to do it wrong.

Rich Bennett 1:03:23
Right. Which is smart. Well, I know 2024 was. 2025 is going to kick ass for you. 2026, You're going to be busting down doors. You're going to be I think by then you definitely will be mailing stuff out to other states, possibly even now that I don't have you in country. Who knows?

Tammie Wingrove 1:03:42
You never know.

Rich Bennett 1:03:42
You're going to be going to have custom shirts, you know, get your cha coochie on or.

You know what the hell I'm saying? Yeah.

Tammie Wingrove 1:03:52
Get cheesy with it.

Rich Bennett 1:03:53

Tammie Wingrove 1:03:54

Rich Bennett 1:03:55
Book will be out.

Tammie Wingrove 1:03:56
The book will be out on.

Rich Bennett 1:03:57
Recipes. By full circle boards. You're going to be you're going to be a wine connoisseur. Bourbon steward, beer. Colin is sure you're going to be doing pairing. Good. I don't think there's any.

Companies that do charcuterie boards and actually have that come to think of it

Tammie Wingrove 1:04:17
The whole big one. Stop. Yeah. Let's do it. I'm ready.

Rich Bennett 1:04:21

Tammie Wingrove 1:04:21
I want to take it on.

Rich Bennett 1:04:22

Tammie Wingrove 1:04:25
No And it I.

Rich Bennett 1:04:27
You know, the Burma story you can actually do online.

Tammie Wingrove 1:04:29
Oh, okay.

Rich Bennett 1:04:30
For one of the four. Two of the levels, I think.

Tammie Wingrove 1:04:32
Okay, See? There you go. But, yeah, and I found the more questions I ask. People are always so happy to help

Rich Bennett 1:04:40
Yeah.

Tammie Wingrove 1:04:40
answer my questions and guide me in the right direction. You just have to get past that fear of that first question

Rich Bennett 1:04:46
Yeah.

Tammie Wingrove 1:04:46
and ask it in your.

Rich Bennett 1:04:47
