I really enjoy true crime and hearing about the procedures and processes of solving heinous acts and bringing justice to forgotten victims. This is the ONE AND ONLY platform (podcast, book, show, or movie) that respects and honors the victims while sharing their stories, including those that are still with us and surviving.
I’m a survivor of two heinous delinquents; Ashley and Brit are so caring and empathetic about the real people affected by these crimes - the victims - they’re what matter the most and those are the names we should remember.
A lot of the true crime community seems to be romanticizing the evil of these men and women, Crime Junkie’s team brings a voice back to the victim and shames the failure of communities that don’t stand behind survivors and those that have passed.
I will say there are still traumatizing cases that I can’t listen through but knowing how much focus and attention they are bringing to the victims and their families makes it a little easier to listen.
Thank you Brit and Ashely; you have double handed healed so much of trauma just knowing that good-hearted people out there are listening and wanting justice.
Stay suspicious, stay weird, stay alive <3
