Sensationalism

I’ve been a fan of the show for a while but something said during the episode about Debonahi Escobar that stuck with me. The duo made this automatic assumption that fantastical accusations of assault alleged against the taxi driver were automatically true without any regard to innocent until proven guilty. They were sly about it, saying things about how perhaps he did assault debonahi but didn’t have anything to do with her disappearance, yet NO consideration that perhaps the girl who was soooo drunk that her friends abandoned her may have just been completely irrational And decided to jump out of the cab for no logical reason.
I don’t know the cab driver or what really happened, however I found it irresponsible if the hosts to automatically assume these theories were absolute fact. It felt like it was more about telling an entertaining story than looking for factual truth.
