Update after listening to many more episodes: removed 1 star . The show feels quite scripted, and it feels like Brit is not really given space to speak. She seems more like a prop to Ashley. Ashley seems uninterested in including Brit, who I would like to hear more from. While this is really not a problem, I find it is affecting my enjoyment of the show. Theres is a voice quality/intensity to how Ashley speaks that has become difficult to listen to as well. (Or maybe Im just tired from my day job, which is talking to people all day.) However: obviously, she is a very accomplished and passionate podcaster, and her passion is a plus. The show is superbly researched, and is top-notch. I like how it focuses on getting the information to the audience. …I would like to offer that Brit has a lovely voice, and I wish she were allowed to participate in the podcast in a non-scripted manner. I am finding that I am not listening consistently because the sound of Ashley’s voice is just Too. Much. Emphasis. On. Every. Word. (except for when she interviews people).
