Today, we are honored to have Franklin Farmer, who has been an integral part of the UNC Health Care System and the UNC School of Medicine since 2001. As the Associate Chair for Administration in the Department of Emergency Medicine, Franklin brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our discussion.
With a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science and a Master’s in Business Administration, Franklin's journey started in the UNC hospital labs. He progressed through roles in the Quality Department and eventually managed five hospital-based clinics within the healthcare system. He is currently serving as Associate Chair and holds a diverse range of responsibilities to ensure the Emergency Department meets and expands its clinical, educational, and research goals. Adding another layer to his impressive portfolio, Franklin is pursuing a Doctorate in Business Administration at UNC Charlotte.
