My Favorite Decorating Tips
I’ve been listening to Decorating Tips and Tricks for years. I love how Anita and Kelly explain the different topics. It’s like getting together with best friends. They give tips that are budget friendly.

A weekly listener
I absolutely love you girls! I am in my early 20s and just bought my first home with my husband. It’s a 1940s home so I always put on dtt while cleaning or doing a renovation project. I am planning on doing a home reveal to friends and family, so my question is do you have any tips or tricks for hosting a house warming party?

I feel like I’m chatting with a decorator friend!
I stumbled across this podcast in my search for good decorating advice. I’m just a girl who likes to change things up all the time! This show makes me feel Like I’m chatting with decorator friends and the tips are simple, realistic tips. I loved the episode about finding a piece of wicker on the road and dragging it home! My question is this. I did a big no-no and changed my dining room to a color that does not appear anywhere else in my house. I used SW Oyster Bay on my walls and wallpapered in a pattern with similar color. What can I do to bring the color throughout the rest of my downstairs without redoing my entire house. I have SW Agreeable gray on my walls (but I was never farmhouse) and SW Wall Street as an accent wall in my family room. With my pictures I can put some pillows in there and I think make it work BUT my kitchen has browns and grays in it (sounds awful just typing it)! I’m not opposed to painting my cabinets in my kitchen but what else can I do to bring the color throughout so it is more cohesive downstairs and not have to change out my flooring, which is a brown/gray. What accents could I possibly use in a kitchen? Thanks! - Dreaming of decorating

Practical and helpful tips
I’ve listening for about a year now and I almost always hear something that applies directly to my home. I’ve purchased some of the products they recommend and they are always high quality. Love it!

Lost in Longview
I stumbled on DTT trying to figure out how to decorate after a renovation. After 5 years in our ‘new’ to us real farmhouse (on a farm) I finally put a nail in the wall. Eek! Thank you Anita & Kelly - you gave me the courage to do this decorating thing. The paper contractor shades are ripped off the windows and I’ve only broken one curtain rod so far. These ladies give it to you straight but they are kind. No more grommet curtains from the discount bin at Lowe’s! Thank you both I’m a fan for life!

Great information
Love your podcast. Always get something from it. Today when you were talking about store homesence. It has been in Canada for years. Always considered it our home good store.

Funny and Insightful
These ladies provide great "tips" in a funny and conversational way. When you are listening you feel like you are in the room with them. They provide tons of information for the everyday design enthusiasist. Each lady has her own style and between the 3 of them you will find something to take away and incorporate into your own home. I usually listen while I am painting or doing a craft project of my own.

Tried and True design advise
I’ve been listing for a few years and always pick up something useful and relevant for my home. These women provide tried and true design advise that isn’t too trendy but is still current and applicable. Their style is approachable yet expert. I trust their opinions, even when they disagree sometimes as both come to design with a good eye and years of experience. My question is: I live in a single story stucco home with a brown bar tile roof in the Las Vegas area. I like a fresh traditional/transitional home with European influences. (English/French) Do you think I could get away with applied molding to the walls in the primary bedroom and sitting area? The walls are textured, would they have to be made smooth? I love this look but hesitate because the southwestern style of home that I live in may not work with such a traditional application. Please advise!!

My favorite podcast
DTT is my favorite podcast by far. I feel like I have found two new friends that enjoy decorating, antiquing and thrifting as much as I do. Every episode is full of ideas, great information and fun. Please don’t stop! I look forward to every episode.

A Lovely Listen
I listen on my walks and am so pleasantly surprised at the great advice they provide without video! I have learned so much already from Kelly and Anita that even my husband has commented that he really likes what I have been doing with our house. I love their approachable style of making your home unique and your own. They are not like other “influencers” who want you to go out and buy every trendy item. Not that there is anything wrong with that,I just prefer Kelly and Anita’s style. I have two questions, so feel free to use either. (I need to book a consult!) 1. Regarding your sofa advice, I am sofa shopping at the stores you recommended for my family room. What colors or shades do you recommend if you have a husband who only likes leather sofas, a young boy and a dog? We like traditional styles. 2. Is it okay to have a different color on the inside of your front door than on the outside?

Fun and Informative!
I love listening during my commute. It’s like I’m hanging out with my girlfriends! The show is a mix of great decorating info along with some good laughs. My question is: what are recommendations to jazz up the walls in my 2 bathrooms in our Florida beach condo? We had it renovated from top to bottom and it needs that next-level decor on the boring walls! I’m concerned about moisture from the showers. Thank you.

It's been a joy to listen!
I'm so grateful to have found this podcast. The wisdom and information shared goes beyond home decorating, and has significantly influenced my own personal approach to art. I appreciate the well laid out format and relevant, practical, and widely applicable suggestions. Plus, you both are so lovely, it's like visiting a rose garden every time :) My question for an upcoming Q&A: Could you do an episode on functional decor in small spaces? I'm thinking specifically for people (like me) who live in tiny houses or RVs and can't spare much soace for vignettes or other decorations. However, I love the idea of beautiful, functional objects that we can interact with in a daily basis. Thank you both for all the work you put into bringing these examples of beauty to us.

Excellent design tips
I’ve been listening for a few years and have learned quite a few simple and useful decorating tips that I have incorporated into my home and garden. I have a dilemma. I have beautiful dark walnut hardwood tile floors throughout the main living areas but not in the bedrooms. I’ve always disliked carpet and yep it’s in the bedrooms. The tile has been discontinued in the finish I have and is only available in high gloss which is a no no for me. What should I replace the carpet with to give the house a uniformed appearance? Thank you.

Best Decorating Podcast on the Internet!
Hi Kelly and Anita, I am a long-time listener- don't think I've skipped a single episode= and want you to know how much you've taught me over the years! Sensible, practical, classic, and always so much fun, the advice given on the show has helped me turn my ho-hum house into a home I truly love. My decorating question for you is whether you would continue to paint wainscotting white on the lower portion of a dining room, or if you think that looks dated now that color wrapping has become so popular? Thanks for all you do!

A Lovely Listen
I listen on my walks and I was pleasantly surprised at the great advice on decorating they can give without video! I have learned so much already from them.

Every Episode a "Home Run"
I can't believe how many times I'm listening to an episode and get just the information I need. This is a gem waiting to be found. I can't think of a 3 star episode. All 5 stars. Thank you Anita and Kelly for helping us love our homes. Molly

Perfect timing
Moving into our dream home and looking to really style this one differently than our prior home. I couldn’t have found this podcast at a more perfect time. Simple in detail realistic tips away from trends and using classics along side current pieces is highly encouraging to someone who’s just tipping her towels into design. Thankful and listening to all the episodes makes me feel confident and ready to FULLY ENJOY this be decor adventure.

Love this podcast!
I love listening to this podcast on my morning walk! Then I can’t wait to get home a try out some of the new ideas I have heard. Thanks Kelly and Anita! I’m a 68 year old grandmother of 4 ( soon to be 5)! You’re never too old to learn!

Decorating Consult WOW!
I was lucky to have a 45 minute consult with Anita and Kelly and it was my favorite thing I have done in so long. Being on the phone was productive and helped me in going forward with plans for my dining room. They both had numerous ideas and we discussed every aspect of the project. I had an idea of what I wanted to do, and they built on my idea and brought such understanding of what I can do in the space for seating and arrangement of furniture. They were budget conscious and provided ideas that I can do now and ideas for the future such as flooring. We weighed pros and cons of different types of flooring, paint colors and making the space look brighter than it does now. I enjoyed the design consultation and I hope I can get to do it again someday!

Happy Birthday!
I have greatly enjoyed listening to this podcast. It feels like I am chatting with friends over coffee. I love everything I’ve learned from listening to them that I’ve applied to decorating our home.

Fun Listening!
I have been listening for over a year. While decorating is one of my hobbies, I only listen to this one! Once I found it there was no need for more podcasts! Decorating tips and tricks is just perfect for me.

Useful Information
Thank you for the interesting and useful information on decorating!! Plus a good book tip!!

Great tips
Actionable tips from 2 friendly professionals

Could you address how to work with glass front cabinets?
I love this show. It ticks all of the boxes for me; how to approach your home from the aspects of organization, editing, quality purchases and timeless decorating. All of this information along with two cheerful, approachable, knowledgeable hosts makes every episode an enjoyable experience. Ladies, could you please consider doing an episode of how to work with ‘exposed’ areas in our homes such as glass front kitchen cabinets, where to store bath items when you have a pedestal sink, keeping a landing zone for purses or keys looking acceptable, organizing a bar area in a stylish way and a temporary home (other than the floor) for decorative pillows and throws if guests do not want them on their seats? Keep up your good work and sage advise! Thank you ladies, Mary L.

Best interior design podcast!
I’m slightly obsessed with this podcast! I stumbled across their podcast when I was looking for interior design tips and tricks that would help me design our new home. They have SO many great tips that have been extremely helpful for someone who has no clue when it comes to interior design. I’ve been given so many compliments on my design and decor. They're entertaining to listen to and I highly recommend you take a listen for yourself! Thank you Kelly and Anita!!!

Fav Decor Pod
One of my favorite decorating podcasts to listen to! I have learned so much!

My Favorite Decorating Podcast- Hands Down!
I discovered DDT during the Pandemic and never looked back! I started at the beginning and listened to every episode and can honestly say, I learned more from Kelly and Anita just by listening than I ever could have imagined! Their practical, easy to understand and expert decorating advice has definitely made me more confident in my own design choices, and I learn new things with every episode! These two are the real deal- and very down-to-earth to boot. Highly reccommend!

So much better than expected! [This is a review of the consult not the podcast]
I had been angsting about what to do with our LR for months. I finally decided to set up a consult with you. Now I ask myself, Why on earth did I wait so long!? You both came prepared and clearly had examined my photos and thought everything through before you called. You gave me specific, actionable suggestions which were right on point. You explained the reasons for your suggestions which gave me the ability to adapt your ideas as needed, because the goal and plan plan were so clear. I’m almost done with the room now, and couldn’t be happier! PS On the podcast one of you recently laughed about the person who asked to confirm the time zone for the consult. I really cringed because that was me. Oops. Sorry - but I’m glad I didn’t miss your call.

Anti Trend Decorating
I enjoy listening to your podcast! I really got a lot out of today’s episode! Thank you for the links…now I’m off to buy a few things. Shhhh….don’t tell my husband - lol!!
