Ep.93 Daniel’s Purpose Not To Defile Himself, Daniel 1:1-21

This episode shows how Daniel would not defile himself and be a part of the idolatry in the culture around him. In other words, he refused to compromise and go along with the crowd taking into himself what everyone was partaking of and defile himself with the king’s idolatrous food.
The fruit of not defiling himself can be seen in v. 15, 17, and 20.
- 15 A better appearance.
- 17 Better knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom.
- 20 Ten times better than the king’s people
Question for the LISTENERS: Are there any Daniel’s out there who will stand for righteousness through a life empowered by the grace of God and not be conformed to the spirit of this world?
