Fyi not everyone in jail is guilty or deserves to be subjected to inhumane conditions. There are plenty of people —disproportionately people of color— who end up there are there as a result of racial bias nd cannot afford to get out due to financial restrictions.

By implementing a more humane approach to criminal justice and imprisonment, prisons and jails can become safer for those who work and are incarcerated there, ultimately increasing the chances of success for people after they leave.
