"Did Cal Ripken Jr. have help setting his record?" Fact Or Cap

Benchwarmers! Today for this week's #FactOrCap we take a look at the most impressive record in baseball, Cal Ripken Jr's 2,632 consecutive games played for the Baltimore Orioles. It's a record that seems like it could never and will never be broken, but was there some help in getting the record set? Niko and Jimmy discuss an incident from 1997 where the Orioles had to cancel their game due to a "blackout" at the stadium, on the same night Ripken was considering not playing in the game. This preserved the consecutive starts status since the game was cancelled but it seems odd. Was there an injury he couldn't play through that night? Is it possible Kevin Costner (actor from Draft Day and Dances With Wolves), who was friends with Ripken, slept with Mrs. Ripken and that's what made him almost miss a game? That's what we look to find out this week! Be sure to vote in the poll on our twitter @FeOTBpod and let us know what you think!
