Hugo has been part of the show for a long time, many compare him to a seagull because he will eat anything. Hugo draws from his Portuges roots and creative pallet to make any fishy dish look and taste delicious. I love cooking fish, but am not great at it. This I gave Hugo a Cod cooking challenge. I cooked Cod and made a recording of the action and sent it to Hugo. This was sort of an Audio Experiment, you’ll hear my wife, Kristin, in the background messing around with the piano working on a new theme song... then the action begins. COD WITH CLAY So I sent this to Hugo, he was less than impressed and answered back with this fabulous recipe. This recipe can be found at www.fishnerds.com COD WITH HUGO He then doubled down and visited the Westboro Farmer’s Market http://eatfresh01581.com/ And gave us this interview Hannah from Farmstead Goatcheese... what does that have to do with fishing? Hugo then bumped into Spencer from Red’s Best Seafood and filed this interview... makes me want to go to a farmer’s market. https://www.redsbest.com/redsbest/ As you know October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, this month the Fish Nerds were asked to help raise money for the National Breastcancer foundation and partnered with a bunch of organizations to make it extra valuable to make a donation. If you donate through the Fish Nerds link www.fishnerds.com you will be entered to win fantastic prizes, Sweatshirts from Maintunafishing.com, Dexter Knives, Line Cutterz Rings, a Guided Ice Fishing Trip with Me, a Guided river trip with Twin Maple Outdoors, Pink Fishing Swag, FINS line, and Karent Talbot Art gave us a set of four Angler’s Pints... Just go to www.fishnerds.com and make your donation. We have lots of Fish Nerds friends impacted by cancer, as you heard earlier this month Lindsay Whithers from Maine Tuna Fishing.com had breast cancer at 27, hence the fundraising we are doing. Super Friend of the FIsh Nerds Ryan Dubay suffered from Lukemia, Hugo bumped into him this Summer in MA and gave us this interview. I think you’re all going to like Ryan as much as we do! RYAN DUBAY So that’s it, you’ve listened to a bunch of Fish Nerds when you should have been fishing If you want to support the fish nerds, head to FISH NERDS .
