We have entered the historic 100 days until Christmas countdown! Now we all know the traditional Christmas playlist inclusive of legends such as Bing Crosby, Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, Mariah and the list goes on. However this Christmas we decided to looking to our local traditions: Parang, Soca Parang and Parang Soca.
A one off observation may lead you to think that a tleast Soca- Parang and Parang- Soca are one and the same, however we have a theory about these……a Musical Theory that makes it easy to identify the differences between them all. Throughout this blog we will provide a musical explanation as well as a non musical one.
