The Paris Peace Accords were signed on January 27, 1973, marking the end of the United States’ participation in the Vietnam War and enabling the return of the 591 surviving Prisoners of War. In eight years of US fighting, 58,000 US servicemen died, and today nearly 1600 remain unaccounted for. Over 600,000 Vietnam Veterans are estimated to be alive today.
On March 21, combined veteran’s organizations of the North Texas area will conduct a commemorative event to recognize and honor all those who served during the Vietnam War and their families. This free event is open to the public.

The doors will open at 9:15 am, and the ceremony will begin at 10 am.
Dunkin Donuts will provide refreshments.
Donald Jones, Dallas Opera, will sing the National Anthem.
Invited speakers include Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson, Congressman Keith Self, Honorable Allen Clark, and Natan Ton-That. Local artist Colin Kimball will display a collection of portraits of Texas Vietnam heroes.
Commemorative lapel pins will be presented to Vietnam-era veterans (Nov 1955-May 1975) and surviving spouses.
Note: The event may be Standing Room Only. Please ensure seats are available for those who need to sit. Valet parking will be available. You are welcome to visit the museum after the ceremony, but valet-parked cars must be claimed promptly.
