It’s time to take on a new belief that you don’t have to hustle to matter. We live in a society that pushes toxic-productivity over everything. Our mental health, physical health, and personal relationships fall on the back burner for the sake of getting ahead. Too much of our worthiness has been placed on how busy we are. This episode is a wake up call. If you’ve been drowning in work, and taking pride in that, despite the fact that the rest of your life is being neglected, i’m talking to you. We’re digging deep and getting to the root of why we’re operating this way.
Majority of the time, we’re creating stories about what other people are going to think of us. I remember drowning in mom guilt because I didn’t want to do all of the Pinterest crafts and go to every single PTA meeting. After full days of work, tired feet and a tired mind, I just couldn’t do it all. But I had a mentor prompt me to ask my kids what they actually wanted to do more of. And I was astounded by the simplicity of their answers. They wanted to go have picnics in the park and have more family game nights. All of the pressure I was putting on myself was coming from this imaginary need my children didn’t even have. I want this episode to feel like a deep breath. You don’t have to do it all. Let’s feel worthy because of who we are, not because of what we do.
