Anger Management in the Golf Course

Do you ever find yourself in the middle of a game of golf, and suddenly, your temper flares up?

It's a common situation.

One that I've seen many players struggle with, and one that Dr. Bob Jones helped many overcome.

He highly suggests to stay calm during the game and save the club throwing for after the round.

Why? Because our brains don't process negatives well.

When we tell ourselves not to do something, our mind first has to conceptualize doing that very thing.

Instead of focusing on what you don't want to do, visualize what you want to do.

In this case, For Dr. Bob Jones, it was staying calm on the golf course.

Once you start focusing on what you want, the transformation can be amazing.

The next time you're out on the fairway, remember this: Don't tell yourself not to get angry.

Instead, focus on staying calm and composed, and let that be the driving force behind your game.
