Is distance or direction more important off the tee?
Joe Hallett suggests that it's not just about hitting the ball the farthest or straightest.
In fact, the psychological edge might lie in the hands of the first player to hit the green.
This doesn't mean you have to hit the ball the longest or outdo your usual distance.
The key is to find that sweet spot where you can consistently land the ball on the green.
The first person to make the putt might also have a slight advantage.
