Obsessed With My Hollywood Pandemic Tour: The Unique Way I Met TV Star Lorenzo Lamas

It's hard to believe that it’s been 2 years since actor Lorenzo Lamas, his beautiful fiancé Kenna Scott and I met for the first time. All because they were fans of my Hollywood Pandemic Tour social media posts! No, for real.

You see, during the lockdown, when we were told not to mingle with other people to avoid getting Covid 19, I decided to start walking around my neighborhood seeing all the sights that I never had time to explore when I was working so much before the pandemic and posted them on my IG & Facebook page for all my friends/family to see and enjoy. Thus began my Hollywood Pandemic Tour.

At first, I started visiting places like “The Witch's House” in Beverly Hills, the Beverly Wilshire Hotel from "Pretty Woman" and the house from “A Nightmare on Elm Street” - which are all within walking distance from where I live. Then I decided to expand my horizons by driving to other areas around the city to include as many TV and movie locations as possible to my tour - like the "Brady Bunch" house, the entrance to the Bat Cave from the "Batman" TV series & the cul-de-sac featured in "Knots Landing" - as well as historic buildings, and iconic landmarks. I would post photos of these places on my social media every day - along with a screenshot of whatever show or film it appeared on and a brief (but well-researched) write-up of its significance and what its contribution to Hollywood history was.

Never in a million years did I think that anyone would care about what I was doing. But to my surprise, everyone LOVED my posts - including television star Lorenzo Lamas and his girlfriend (at the time) Kenna! Every day, I would receive all these wonderful comments and DM’s that people would leave or send to me, thanking me for doing the virtual tour and how much they looked forward to seeing the following day's location!

So here's how Lorenzo and I met. One day I noticed that a very pretty blonde was leaving messages on some of my posts asking her boyfriend to take her to visit several of the locations that I had profiled. Out of curiosity, I started following her IG and eventually, I started seeing photos of her posing in front of the locations that I'd just been to a week before with Lorenzo Lamas! I was shocked! I thought to myself, "How is it possible that this actor that I had grown up watching on television was following my crazy posts and visiting the sites I'd already been to last week with his girlfriend?" No one would believe this! It just made no sense. But believe it or not, this went on for months!

Eventually, the three of us started chatting on IG and once the lockdown rules began to get lifted we finally met for lunch at the Formosa Cafe in West Hollywood. That's us in the photo above with my close friend Erin Murphy who played 'Tabitha' in the 1960's sitcom "Bewitched" sitting next to me. Even though it's been over two years since this all happened I still think it was a very unique way for all of us to have connected.

So what happened to the Hollywood Pandemic Tour? When it was all over, I had visited and posted 397 different locations in a little over a year! People still ask me about it and tell me how much they enjoyed it. BTW - I happened to mention to Lorenzo that I was planning on writing a coffee table book about my Hollywood Pandemic Tour posts and he thought it was a great idea! He told me that he's looking forward to reading it once I get it done. So hopefully, someday soon you'll be able to buy a copy of my book and be as obsessed with my tour as Lorenzo and his fiancé Kenna had been during those crazy lockdown days.
