IDP Devy Portfolio: Week 3

IDP Devy Portfolio: Week 3

In this week's IDP Devy portfolio I have three stars that you should be adding to your IDP Devy rosters. All three had big games last week and have very favorable matchups this week. Run and check your waiver wires now and add them, before it's too late and someone else does.

Reggie Grimes, DE, Oklahoma

This week we start up front with the big men and junior defensive end Reggie Grimes of the Oklahoma Sooners is someone you’ll want to add to your IDP Devy portfolios. After starting five games last year, he has become a full-time starter and has immediately paid dividends.  Through two games played this season Grimes leads the Sooners and the Big-12 Conference in both TFLs (5) and sacks (4). Those numbers are already career-best for him and he’s on track to set career-best in most of all other categories. I looked around in my IDP Campus 2 Canton leagues and he’s available in some of them, so go check and see if he’s available in yours if you need help at DE.

Shea Suiaunoa, LB, Wyoming

When you think of Wyoming linebackers, Easton Gibbs is the first name that comes to mind. Gibbs is likely rostered in most IDP devy leagues but red-shirt sophomore Shea Suiaunoa is a linebacker that is getting his turn at a starting role and is producing. Having been a backup for his first two seasons with the Cowboys, Suiaunoa is off to a hot start this year. In three games played he has already recorded 21 total tackles, 18 being solos, three TFLs, two sacks, one interception, and one PBU. Suiaunoa is currently tied for first in the MWC with teammate Gibbs in solo tackles and ranks fifth in total stops. If you’re looking for help at linebacker Suiaunoa is an option that you need to go see if he’s available and add to your IDP Devy Portfolios.

Jackson Mitchell, LB, UConn

My final IDP Devy portfolio investment is a name that surprisingly not everyone has heard about. I know crazy right? But oddly enough I have seen him available. Maybe it’s because he plays for the UConn Huskies who are independent. Don’t let that fool you, as Mitchell is one of the best linebackers in the NCAA. He broke out last season with a 114 tackle season (9.5 per game). A year later and the junior linebacker is leading the NCAA in tackles with 39 stops (13 per game). In 24 career games played, Mitchell has registered ten or more tackles in ten of those contests. Maybe he’s not available but it’s worth checking your waiver wire to see and he’s a player I would strongly consider trading for.
