R-SR Deontay Anderson, Houston Cougars, has been ruled out for spring practice with an ankle injury. A transfer from Ole Miss in 2017. He had 72 tackles as a sophomore for the Cougars in 2018, but only had 48 last season. However, Deontay had a bigger presence in the passing game with 12 PBU’s
R-JR Deon Jones, Maryland Terrapins, has entered the transfer portal. A former 4 ★★★★ recruit had interest from a number of big schools, such as Clemson, Florida & Penn State. If he has graduated, he will be immediately eligible to play for his new team.

Alabama DB Jeffrey Carter entered the transfer portal again. As a former 4 ★★★★ recruit, he looked headed to Texas A&M over Oklahoma, but a last minute change of heart swung him to Bama. He appeared in 3 games, with only 1 tackle. Was suspended vs Miss St. this year and announced his plans to transfer
