Life does not have to end as we get older. While growing older is unavoidable, how you grow old can be in your terms. There are things you can do to prevent aging related conditions from advancing rapidly. You can have a beautiful enjoyable life for as long as possible. Join us as we discuss perimenopause, midlife dating, sex, relationships, and so much more!

Joz forgot the chili beans and chaos ensued when she got invited to the premiere of her first student film! Lloyd has been too busy to go to dinner and Gaby calls in from an undisclosed location.

Later, Gaby, Angela, Lloyd and Jozlyn talk to Martha McBride, who is the host of My Aloof Vagina, an irreverent podcast about perimenopause and midlife dating, sex, & relationships. Martha calls in from a cabin in the woods which is related to "old lady stuff" and touches on why doing all you can to grow old healthily is important.  How can we slow down things like loss of muscle tissue, and conditions, like osteoporosis, in which bones become weak and brittle? While these are a natural part of the aging process there are things you can do in your 40's and 50's to prevent such conditions from advancing rapidly. Move your body now!

Martha is on a quest to understand what other "surprises" to expect and how to get a handle on all this midlife stuff. She gets incredibly honest during this conversation about her perimenopausal journey and how My Aloof Vagina came to be. This is an eye opening episode filled with helpful (and hopeful) information. You can take control of your body and your health.

Podcast Host

Martha McBride is the host of My Aloof Vagina, an irreverent podcast about perimenopause and midlife dating & relationships.

She got herself knocked up at 19 and spent the next 20 years hustling and taking almost any opportunity that came her way so she could provide for her son.

That meant an interestingly varied “career” and more adventure than one might expect for a suburban single mom. For a time she parlayed a side hustle in sex-toy sales into a glorious stint as a semi-pro sex educator and those years, and what she learned about entrepreneurship, informed everything that came after.

Now she’s a grandmother who STILL likes to talk about sex, bodies, business, being good to yourself, and taking care of your vagina.
