The Temples of Light: Unleash the Power of Sekhmet (Egyptian Lioness Goddess)

Hello and welcome to this episode. On the Temples of Light,: Unleash the Power of Sekhmet. I am so glad that you are here. Sekhmet is the Egyptian lioness goddess. In case you're new to Sekhmet, who is all about courage, compassion, solar, feminine fire, as well as that willingness to have fierce self acceptance in this juicy episode, I'm going to pull back the curtain on some key moments that I've had with segment over the decades, and also share an experience with segment and tap into the book that the guides and I downloaded in 2000 in nine I believe that's when it was published, the temples of light. I don't know about you, yet, sometimes I find on my spiritual journey that there's been these moments where it's been very solo. It's been very me and the divine in that I haven't necessarily heard as much as many stories or individuals sharing about key moments in their spiritual evolution or awakening, and so the guides are really encouraging me to to talk about some of those, because we all have those moments where our life is never the same afterwards. And when I met Sekhmet my life was forever changed in the best ways.

So I'm going to share some of those stories with you in the spirit of also welcoming you into my spiritual evolution and sparking for you, perhaps some awareness around some key moments that you may have had over the years. So let's go back in the time machine to 1996 and in 1996 I went to a workshop with Nikki Scully on Sekhmet this workshop happened to be placed happening at horseback riding camp that I'd gone to since I was nine. So I know that this meeting with Sekhmet was set up in previous lifetimes, like there's just this, like perfect positioning of opportunities, experiences, individuals, and at that time, I had been in counseling and massage therapy, and had started with Reiki and and become a Reiki Master at that time, yet, I I hadn't really had a direct connection With my guides, and when I went to this workshop, I was, what would I have been, 26 years old, and it was so potent. Nikki took us on a guided meditation to the Temple of Karnak, which is one of the temples that is in the temples of light book. And at the Temple of Karnak, there is a chapel that's dedicated to PATA Sekhmet and nefertun, a trilogy. And so we went on this guided meditation to the Temple of Karnak, and to meet Sekhmet, to meet Sekhmet, and when I met Sekhmet, it was very intense. It was like she reclaimed me as one of her own, as one of her her own. And at the time, the way, the ways that my knowing of the unseen world were very active at that time, earlier in my life, it was very visual and very kinesthetic.

And so when I met Sekhmet, she, she, she looked me in the eyes. Eyes, and she took her claws and scraped them down the sides of my spine, and then opened up like took one opened up the bottom of my coccyx, and it was almost like draining an oil in a car, like you open up and the old oil pours out and and it, even though it was intense, I wasn't afraid, I wasn't scared, I didn't feel in any way that she was asserting her power over me. It was very much like the loving embrace of a fierce mother that fierce, unconditional acceptance. And I remember as the workshop went on, it was also about learning this healing technique with Sekhmet to hunt down the original thought form behind any imbalance that we may have had, because the lioness cats, they're they're able to stalk, they're able to hunt down. They're able to to to to to go into places and spaces that may require that power and that and that stealth and and it happened to be where in this healing technique, it's like, you have the opportunity to to really merge with segment, to to to we were invited to, if it was a line for us to bring her energy into our field. And I remember at the end of the workshop, like I was pretty much the only one that wanted to do it. I was like, yes, yes, I want to do it. And it felt so natural to to connect with her in this way. It felt so I felt so strong and and protected, and even though I knew that this kind of healing that was being offered was very delicate. Let's say it was very delicate like to hunt down an original thought form. And some of those original thought forms that we may that we may carry, or that we may be asking to be brought back into healing or or balance, they can be pretty, pretty intense, and yet I never felt like even being highly empathic.

I never felt like I was going to pick up any other energies, or if somebody had cancer, for example. I never felt like there was that, yeah, like sometimes in in older healing modalities, we may have experience where, like taking something into our bodies and transforming that, but with segment in my field, it doesn't. It just felt so clean, so strong, so powerful, so loving. And by the way, in that first meditation with her after she claimed me, and, you know, kind of cleared out my coccyx, and really helped also with my own connection to being on the earth and and that first energy center that then we played as cubs, it was like this very playful energy. So, one of the things that I love about the Egyptian pantheon and connecting to source in this way is that there, there really is this way that we can, we can be, become the divine, and reconnect to the Divine in digestible, bite size pieces where the goddess Sekhmet is connected to courage and compassion and healing. ISIS is an Ascended Master or goddess of love and magic and midwifery and crystals. Hathor is the goddess of dance and music and sensuality. And Thoth is the Egyptian God of communication, scribing, also healing, architecture, so many, so many things. And so when we, when we have a connection to a divine quality like truth or power or empowerment. Empowerment is very important to my mission in this lifetime. Then when we connect with guides or the aspects of the Divine or source directly, God, God, Goddess, great, spirit, infinite, one is all that there is then it supports us in embodying those divine qualities. And for me, Sekhmet was was really key, because I hadn't had a Connect, a conscious connection, to Egypt before then and I.

It was some years like I had that experience with Sekhmet, and then it was some years until I really 1999 when I when I really went into a deeper apprenticeship with the Egyptian pantheon and realized my direct connection to with Toth and all the all the lifetimes of that. Yet it was just one of those moments that I never forget. I can still feel it viscery, viscerally. And at the time, I also had a lot of like, physical pain. I had a lot of cramping going on related to my menstrual cycle. And so it was this, not only this reclaiming, this reconnection to Egypt, which has been so instrumental for me in my life and and the work that I brought in directly with the guides, including the temples of light book. And at the time this recording headed back to Egypt again in in some months, and it's been that that'll be what like the 15th time that we've gone, and there's really so many things, really a pivotal moment and and so to to recognize those, to recognize when, when you've had those kind of like, Your life is never the same, and I felt like my entry point with Sekhmet, and opening up my relationship with Sekhmet, and I see this a lot too, with a lot of other individuals that have a connection with Sekhmet, was also really about coming into right relationship with power, and right relationship to our own empowerment and to have the courage to do what it is that we came here to do and to be and and to have.

And so if you're resonating with Sekhmet, you may have no you may notice in your own system that there's a calling or a craving for for more courage, or for more self acceptance or or to to really have that compassion, and even at times like earlier, since that's kind of when I met Sekhmet originally, I remember when I would give a talk, for example, in front of hundreds of individuals, I'd be like, This feels scary. And it was just like, there with me. She was just like, I got Yeah, you're walking in with me. And there was something about that, like in Feng Shui, they talk about how a house may be built with a mountain behind it and and the earth, the mountain of behind it is, is supporting the house. It's, it's like holding the house. It's. And I felt that, and continue to feel that with segment to this day. And I'm not alone when we go to Egypt. Certainly, connecting with Sekhmet can be so powerful for so many. And really, power and Empowerment has been something on the earth star that has just been so out of balance and so especially for for those of us on this, on this path of higher consciousness. And we can see this with segment as well. When we get to a certain level of spiritual potency, confidence, owning our space there that may bring up past life memories or this life memories of like that being dangerous, or you're you're too big for your britches, or those been a part of a fall the civilization.

And so you may also notice that perhaps you've been holding your power and your empowerment at arm's length. And so if you're since you're tuning in here, this is an indication to an invitation to to to re embrace your power and your potency, because to be an ambassador of love, to be someone who is evolving consciousness, to be someone who's a stand for higher consciousness, for Love that takes power, it takes commitment, it takes consistency. It takes showing up again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and so perhaps in this episode, you may be noticing like, oh yeah, I I've been more comfortable with my kind self or with my funny self, or my then, then the potent self, then the potent self. Another thing I love about the Egyptian pantheon and Sekhmet models this beautifully is that there's this blend of like solar feminine fire. She she has this solar disc. Work and and she's very feminine in her in her body, and at the same time, very strong. I'm also remembering a time when my beloved husband, Freeman, and I were We were journeying to visit his family in Germany, and then afterwards, we went to Munich, where he had gone to medical school. And so he was showing me around and and there was an Egyptian Museum that was in Munich, and we went, and there were Sekhmet statues. And I was just like, there was, there was this transmission of energy, this just this joy of being with segment. There's so many segment statues that have been found at Karnak and that that you may have experienced in museums as well, because sekhme has gone out of Egypt to bring this power, to bring this this energy. So that was another key moment for me.

So I want to read from the the temples of light book. And this is on page 161 the Temple of Karnak. So, as mentioned earlier, hundreds of statues of lioness, of the lioness, goddess Sekhmet were found at Karnak temple. Sekhmet is the goddess of compassionate destruction. She embodies courage and expresses the fierce, primal nature of the lioness. She is unbridled, authentic and unapologetic. She takes action and then carries on. She doesn't second guess herself, her question or actions. She simply adjusts and move on. She simply adjusts and move on, kind of going a little bit further down. It would make sense if one purpose of Karnak Temple is to help you be you. So continue to talk about, why are there so many statues of Sekhmet at the Temple of Karnak, when the Temple of Karnak is actually dedicated to another trio of gods and goddesses. And so it would make sense if one purpose of Karnak is to help you be you, so that you have an ally, ally to assist you in being you. Imagining that you have the support in the form of segment makes it easier to be yourself because you have backup, a model, a powerful ally, a powerful ally. One of the short and sweet phrases that I often have touched upon and have shared that came from Sekhmet is know and go, K, N, O, W, and go. What I know about myself and a lot of our clients is that we can perhaps get into a lot of mental activity, a lot of thinking, from being very intelligent and self reliant and carrying wisdom for a lot of a lot of lifetimes, that or just can be this sense of a lot going on above the head, and our journey of descension is dropping, dropping down into the heart.

And Sekhmet certainly has helped with that, especially when there can be that second guessing, doubt, worry, confusion, which can be a sign of pushing away, of pushing away, power and so that know and go, K, N, O, W, and Go is something I'd invite you to to to embrace. So another story about Sekhmet, I want to share, and then we're going to move into an experience with Sekhmet here, from my life, was when was probably, what was it? Probably 2002 2003 something like that. One of our first trips to Egypt, and we went to the temple of of Sekhmet, maybe it was 2003 and Friedman and I were in her chamber, just the two of us. And he. He proposed to me at the temple of of Karnak, like getting tears, like happy tears, and he had gotten a message from her, like, this is the place to to propose to her. And I was so it was so unexpected, right? Like everyone else probably knew, because we had some some time in there, just the two of us, that when he was done, he said all these beautiful things, and was holding my hands, and segment was like, behind us and witnessing it. I was like, do it again. Do it again. Because I just, I didn't fully take it in and, and he really heard from her, to to that, that that was the place and, and he received this courage from her, to to be willing to Stand in front of that witness, to take our commitment to even a greater level.

So I have such a a a strong connection with segment, and a fond connection of segment. And then when we started bringing groups to Egypt, every time I would come, and I feel like this was one of the reasons that she was encouraging me to do this podcast on the temples of light and and connecting with her more was she asked me to bring People to Egypt and to bring people to her. That was one of those moments what I speak of is divine assignments. Just like I got the download to to write the book about the temples, because there's a lot of books about the Pantheon, but there wasn't a lot of books about the temples. It was one of those divine assignments of like Danielle, you can always say yes or no, right when we get divine assignments, yet part of your mission is, is to bring people to me and in a in a way of recognizing that from a place of equality, right? It's not a power over power under. That doesn't work in our relationships with with the guides, yet, from that place of equality, that having the physical body and also journeying to Egypt, right? That was my first experience with sekhme. It was very powerful that we we can heal very quickly. We can come into alignment very quickly. We can there's a transfer of power. And in each moment, consciously or unconsciously, we're we're choosing to be empowered, or we're choosing to to be disempowered and and so if you're feeling the call to connect with Sekhmet further. for some of you, she's sharing with me that there's an opening of your ears to be able To hear more clearly the deeper callings of your soul and of your heart. It's an opening of your eyes to see more distinctly and with love your fierce acceptance how beautiful and magnificent you are, just the way that you are, brother, she is Saying pretty strongly. It's time to pick up the mantle. It's time to take your place where you belong, just like where I segment have been standing in this chapel for 1000s of years. I'm in my place, I'm in my seat, be you and know that you are loved, be you and know that you are loved, be you and know that you are loved, you may notice that she's inviting you to open your mouth or to yawn or to growl, to roar, to speak your truth. Some of you have a hairball caught in your throat, something that you've been wanting to express. You've been waiting for the right moment, and she's sharing. There's no right moment. You're perfect already. You don't have to be someone that you're not to express, to speak your truth, just taking another few moments here, opening to See if there's any message that you receive directly you

taking a few deep breaths

and as you're ready to coming back, you've had your eyes closed, perhaps rubbing your palms together and. Oh, all right. I really had a sense of there being this direct energy attunement transmission that maybe is boosting you to to take the stand for yourself, to accept yourself, to love yourself, to have the courage to do and be in, have what it is that you're here to do and be in have.
