Have you ever battled overwhelming anxiety, fear, self-limiting beliefs, soul fatigue or stress? It can leave you feeling so lonely and helpless. We’ve all been taught how to be courageous when we face physical threats but when it comes to matters of the heart and soul we are often left to learn, "the hard way."

As a school teacher for over 30+ years, struggling with these very issues, my doctor suggested anti-anxiety medication but that didn't resonate with me so I sought the healing arts. I expanding my teaching skills and became a yoga, meditation, mindfulness, reiki and sound healer to step into my power and own my impact.

Welcome to a gentle summer softening meditation. With summer upon us, I'm wondering, can you feel a sense of the abundant light, the sunshine, the warmth, the love. I invite you today to find a comfortable position, either sitting or lying down. And if it's available to you, closing your eyes and shift your body ever so slightly just to become that much more comfortable. Allow all the muscles to soften in your face. And take a deep breath in. And as you exhale, release any tension or stress from your mind or body. Really give yourself full permission to be here in this moment. As we celebrate the summer season, we embrace the warmth and brightness that surrounds us. Let's begin by bringing our awareness to the power of the love within us. Love is the center. It's the essence of our being the energy that connects us all. It is a force that knows no bounds. love transcends time and space. As you breathe, hear, bring attention to the love center, just at your heart and on the exhale, softening. Take another deep breath in. And as you exhale, envision a bright golden light entering your body imagine this light illuminating like the strength of the sun. Allow this love and light to gently radiate down onto you and fill your whole heart center. Feel this light and love expand with each inhale and each exhale imagine it filling your entire being feel the sense of warmth and compassion now imagine yourself standing in a beautiful sun lit meadow. Imagine the air is the perfect temperature the perfect temperature of warmth shining down on your skin with an ever so slight breeze. Take a moment to observe how that feels on your skin. How it allows you to be present here in softness. Now imagine all the vibrant colors surrounding you the lush green grass, the beautiful blooming flowers and the clear blue sky above. Feel and notice how the sun dances on them and the wind gently caresses them. Feel the energy of nature alive and thriving. As the sun shines gently above you imagine its rays of light, infusing your body with love and vitality. Just feel and see if you can visualize the sun's warmth flowing through every cell of your being rejuvenating and revitalizing you allow Have this universal divine energy to soften and awaken your heart and fill you with a deep sense of joy and gratitude in this moment, as you breathe here, reflect upon the love that exists within you. Recall any moments of love and kindness you have experienced in your life can you feel the warmth and tenderness of these memories as they gently wash over you let them remind you of your capacity to give and receive love to be in the essence of love your highest vibration as you connect with a deep source of love within you imagine extending this love beyond yourself. Imagine and picture in your mind's eye, a web of interconnectedness encompassing all living beings on our earth. With each inhale, breathe in the love of the universe. And with each exhale, can you send out waves of love and compassion to all beings feel your heart expanding with each breath radiating love and healing energy as you continue to breathe here in the softness of your own breath let us really be mindful and present here to the abundance and beauty that surrounds us. Take a moment to express gratitude for the gifts life has bestowed upon you. The people the places the experiences that have shaped you and the opportunity they provided you to grow and transform. As you continue to notice your breath rising and falling at your heart center. Inhale deeply feeling the life giving energy entering your body and exhale releasing any tension or worry. You are not your thoughts, you are not your mind. You are the deep source of love within you. and bask in that love and light. Allow that love and light to flow to you, through you and from you. Breathe here gently, knowing and feeling the essence of love within you. We remember that you are a vessel of love. capable of making a positive impact on our world today. Embrace the power of love and let it guide your thoughts, your words and your actions as you breathe here softening, releasing being open to all there is. And when you're ready slowly bring attention back to you Your heart center place your right hand in the center of your chest and the left palm above it. Breathe here into your heart center as you feel your palms, rise and fall. With a gentle and beautiful flow of your breath feeling and expressing gratitude for this time of reflection and connection May the love that flows through you continue to illuminate your path as you move forward.
